The three kings were not in penance but they were walking in faith searching for the King.
They followed the prophetic word spoken to them and brought gifts as worship - not penance.
The Spirit of God was guiding them as this was prophesied beforehand.

But wrong understanding is dangerous. Wrong understanding stand in the way of the truth. Wrong understanding will not produce unity. I have unity with many of the members of this site because we all possess the true understanding. I do not have unity with you @theefaith although I respect you even if I do not agree with you.

Is that not in scripture ?If not it means nothing to me.
We sit on these forums and talk scripture ,we debate scripture . What is the edification in talking or debating doctrines of men ?

Yes, this is just one of the many reasons why the Roman Catholic Church is just silly. Dressing up in holy garments is another one that just always rubbed me the wrong way about the RCC, too. Well, the OT (Old Testament) was different, but they still treat the NT as if it is the New Covenant. Then they mix in idolatry into the mix and say it is Christian? The RCC is obviously false for anyone who simply just reads their Bible and asks God for the understanding on it. The only way a person is Catholic is if they have been taught that or they have idolatrous leanings.
