Continued from above...
So there it is. By worshiping Antichrist, they by proxy are worshiping Satan. Antichrist is Satan's frontman, his alter-ego, his counterfeit. Through the worship of Antichrist Satan fulfils his lifelong dream to receive the worship of man. But there is more. He enlists help, and we read about this a little later in the same chapter...

11 ¶ And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Notice that it is the people, (the 'they in verse 14) who under recommendation from the state power, create this image, another church/state union, and it is the second beast, or nation, that gives the church/state union its power. And notice that this nation with the horns like a lamb speaks as a dragon...speaks like the devil...like the pagan emperor who granted the Roman church power in the 6th century, so also does this second nation give power and authority to this newly developed church/state union.

The Majority will Worship their Enemy.

Deception, worship, deception, worship. These are the issues of the last days. Remember, this is God's loving 'revelation' concerning true and false worship. It is the love of God which prompted Jesus to warn constantly of the core theme of the times leading up to His second advent.

Matt. 24:4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many....11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many....23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Deception is surely a major factor contributing to the confusion and apostasy of Babylon. Are not the abominations in the cup which she holds her deceptions and false doctrines? But of what purpose are these deceptions if they do not relate directly to how we relate to our Creator? Are they not designed to draw us away from a right relationship with God? Yes, assuredly. But more than that, and I cannot stress this enough, Satan seeks to draw us away from the Creator toward himself. Through deception, he has the whole world worshiping the Antichrist, and the whole world believes they are worshiping God. The counterfeit system of worship is so beguiling, so attractive, and presents itself in such a loving, caring, compassionate, Christian way, that the entire world is deceived into accepting her, obeying her dogmas, following her counsel, keeping her man-made commandments.

The Truth Liberates.

So back to our original question. Does God want us to be so deluded that we would submit ourselves to a system of worship directed through Antichrist to Satan? Of course not. That is why Jesus warned us repeatedly of false prophets, false Christs. That is why the inspired scriptures go into such great and minute detail in the books of Daniel and Revelation concerning Antichrist and his work. And it is from these details that we can gather sufficient information to come to an honest and correct conclusion as to the exact identity of the Antichrist. To the precise identity of this false worship system that even now has much of the world in its grasp. The apostle Paul said that if we have a love for truth, we would not be deceived (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12) , and Paul is referring directly to the Antichrist when he penned these words. Jesus said in John 17:17 that we are sanctified by the word of truth, and in John 8:32 that if we continue in His word the truth of His word will set us free. Free from sin, free from error, free from false doctrine, free from deception.

According to most modern evangelists, Antichrist is yet to come. The scriptures however are very clear. Antichrist is here now, and hard at work drawing the world after him as you read these words. And true to form, and in fulfillment of prophecy, much of the Christian world is either in denial, deluded, or at best confused, as to the true nature of the beast which is before them. They see it, they even wonder after it marveling at her power and splendor, many praise it, countless millions obey her commands in direct contradistinction to the commandments of God, but very few perceive the true nature of it.

God's exceedingly great and infinite love for you demands you understand this truth. In His word He has provided all the information needed to ensure that no-one need be deceived or lack understanding in matters relating to such an essential matter as worship. Worship is what is due our Creator. It is who we worship that defines our loyalties. And it is how we worship that defines who we worship. Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth." John 4:22-24.

The last great delusion is set to present itself to the world, and even now is busily doing so. Antichrist is to perform his marvelous works in the sight of man. So closely will this system resemble the true, that it will be almost impossible to discern between truth and error except for the scriptures. No-one who hasn't trained themselves to search for and grasp the truths of the Bible will remain faithful to the true God when the coming crisis deepens. When demands come that they obey certain commandments, because they have failed to study and accept scripture, they will not discern that these commandments of men demand submission to counterfeit truth, and usurp the commandments of God. The fearful judgements that are proclaimed against those who worship the beast, the image, and receive the mark, as revealed in Revelation 14, should drive all men to an earnest study of the scriptures and the prophecies to learn what the mark is, who the beast is, and how they are to avoid them.

The Bible, and the Bible only, must be the standard for all doctrine and belief.

Continued...

As a wise woman once said...The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority ...not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain 'thus saith the Lord' in its support....with the many warnings against false teachers, why are the people so ready to commit the keeping of their souls to the clergy? There are today thousands of professors of religion who can give no other reason for the points of faith which they hold than that they were so instructed by their religious leaders...a lack of moral courage to step aside from the beaten track of the world, leads many to follow in the steps of learned men, and by their reluctance to investigate for themselves, they are becoming hopelessly fastened in the chains of error...the truth and the glory of God are inseparable; it is impossible for us, with the Bible within our reach, to honor God by erroneous opinions. It is the first and highest duty of every rational being to learn from the scriptures what is truth, and then to walk in the light, and encourage others to follow His example. Ignorance of God's word is sin, when every provision has been made that we may become wise. We should day by day study the Bible diligently, weighing every thought, and comparing scripture with scripture. With divine help, we are to form our opinions for ourselves, as we are to answer for ourselves before God.

Compare Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. Take note of all the parallels. There is no other power other than the RCC which meets all the criteria of being the Antichrist of scripture. Nor is there any other nation than the US who being democratic, has the power and worldly influence and authority to convince her people, and then the world, to create a Protestant church/state union as a direct image of the papacy, demanding obedience to papal dogmas, papal creeds, and specifically with regard to the laws or commandments of God, Torah, submission to the papal counterfeit of Sabbath, Sunday. Sunday, the RCC officially claims, is the "mark of her authority" in religious matters. Remember, in Revelation 14 there are only two groups of people in the last days. The sheep and the goats are divided on the basis of obedience to God's laws. Those who accept the mark of the beast, are set in direct contrast to "those who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus." Revel. 14:12.

Study current events. Line them up with prophecy. And pray. Pray earnestly and diligently for confirmation and help from the Holy Spirit. God promises that the Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. God wants you to know the truth. No more trusting in fictional novels and so-called 'Christian' movies. No more trusting in the clergy and the television evangelists who assume so much and present so little.

" To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20

And finally my friends, remember. If you do require help from a pastor or teacher or even me, always, and I repeat always, apply the above verse.

Really think about this because the bible can’t contradict itself

Of course it can. Some prophecies were scrapped with the old covenant when it got replaced. One example:

Daniel wrote that 3 horns are removed/plucked up from the 10 horned beast but in Revelation no horns are removed.

In your view it is impossible for the verses above to be true.
In your view, God set up His kingdom in each of the days of each of the kings of the Babylonian, Median, Persian, and Grecian empires.

There were many kings who ruled some or all of these empires. For example, the Persian empire was ruled by:
  • Cyrus II "the Great" (550-529 BC)
  • Cambyses II (529-522 BC)
  • Darius I (522-486 BC)
  • Xerxes I (486-465 BC)
  • Artaxerxes I (465-425 BC)
  • Xerxes II (425-424 BC)
  • Darius II (423-404 BC)
  • Artaxerxes II (404-359 BC)
  • Artaxerxes III (359-338 BC)
  • Arses (338-336 BC)
  • Darius III (336-330 BC)
Scripture supporting your view?

Can you cite any support from recognized exegetes in historical Christian orthodoxy from 100 AD to 1800 AD for your view?

Nah...I'm observing those who found themselves in a hole and just kept digging with incorrect interpretations and speculations thrown at each other. I wonder if you will ever be able to climb out.

Do you actually believe that the bible contradicts itself over the possibility that your view may be wrong? Really?

Hello

If budding theologians cannot get the Daniel 2's statue prophecy right as to the names of the five kingdom/empires were/are labelled by, then what hope do they have if they try to identify the Antichrist.

I was told in Daniel the first three kingdoms, but not the entities of the fourth and fifth segment until the 20th century drew to its conclusion. Then Rev 16 gave us a clue which we cand determine from history.

I wonder how stubbornly they will hang onto their perceived correctness.

What I am saying is that the kingdom of God was set up in the time of Babylon that’s the only way how the kingdom of God the rock cut out of the mountain could crush the Babylonian empire

I do not find the "Stone", the Messiah struck the feet of the image and destoryed anything. He did not come to destroy but to divide. And that is exactly what the "Stone" did - it broke into pieces the iron and clay found in the feet only. The clay represented His people who were kept under the Roman Empire along with the 10 toes - which represented God's 10 commandments. Symbolically, Jesus would strike the feet and separate the clay (His people) away from the iron into two groups: those that would be identified as "pottery clay" found in verses 41-44, and those identified as "ceramic clay." The difference between these two groups is the former would reflect those who would accept Jesus as their Messiah and go out into the world preachig the Good news. Those Jews who would reject Him - the ceramic clay would continue in their Jewish faith. The Stone striking the feet is the cross.

The Stone broke apart the two elemets within the symbolic iron feet of pagan Rome. The previous 3 kingdoms of the metal man image were defeated by the subsequent coming kingdom.

Or the bible can’t contradict itself and the beast are two different beasts.

Some say that yet Daniel's beast is destroyed by fire at a coming and judgment of God then God's people receive an eternal kingdom and the ten horned beast is also destroyed in fire at the second coming and there is also a start of an eternal kingdom so they both are speaking of end times events, but there are things that do not match.

The bible does contradict itself at times. In this situation I believe OT prophecy was scrapped in favor of new prophecy, that is similar but has some differences.

It's similar about how Israel is defined by the OT vs. the NT. As an Amill, I know you believe Israel is now made up of Christians and those born from the ten tribes are no longer Israel just by birth. I also believe that. There's plenty of OT prophecy speaking of physical Jews inheriting the Kingdom etc but the new cov changed that, It changed a lot actually.

The stone demolished all four empires in the same manner, without distinction between the Babylonian and the remaining three, even though the Babylonian was in existence and the remaining three were not. The demolitions did not distinguish, and in history, the fourth empire was Rome.

NT Scripture confirms Rome as the empire during which God set up His kingdom.

It does not confirm Greece.

You haven't cited any historical orthodox support for your view.

John Calvin

"Here the Fourth Empire is described, which agrees only with the Roman..."

"When, therefore, the three monarchies were absorbed by the Romans, the language of the Prophet suits them well enough; for, as the sword diminishes, and destroys, and ruins all things, thus those three monarchies were bruised and broken up by the Roman empire."

"...when the third monarchy, namely, the Macedonian, began to decline, then the fourth, which is the Roman, succeeded it."

Matthew Henry

"The legs and feet of iron signified the Roman monarchy."

"But it has been the more received opinion that it is the Roman monarchy that is here intended, because it was in the time of that monarchy, and when it was at its height, that the kingdom of Christ was set up in the world by the preaching of the everlasting gospel."

"The stone cut out without hands represented the kingdom of Jesus Christ, which should be set up in the world in the time of the Roman empire..."

Maybe you are mistaken and they both weren’t the second coming but a coming in judgement then both prophecies were true and come to pass exactly how God had planned it.

The problem with your view is the verses below

Daniel 2
34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them.. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

The rock smashes the entire statue of metal and it leaves them without a trace thus all of the metal is gone

The rock is also the kingdom of God and not the cross because it filled the whole world

You seemed to have identified a true individual that does go against Jesus. But why did you leave out the ONE person that God specifically identifies in Daniel 7 as the little horn?

This is where he is first mentioned to the world. Now, all you have to do is determine when he arrives - and that is all within Daniel 7.
Well yes he is the little horn. His arrival happens when the world is ruled by 10 kings. Verse 23 shows the fourth kingdom devours the whole earth and then teh ten kings arise. so there will be a one world govt that shall somehow fall and ten rulers shall govern the world ad the antichrist (little or 11th horn) shall arise.

Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 are indeed sister chapters but Daniel 7 gives us his identity and his first mention.
Actually his first mention is Genesis 3. He is called the seed of the serpent there. It will be Satans son. Once again a counterfeit sign, a falsevirgin birth.

That person is not the antichrist as there is no antichrist

When John mentions them he describes the antichrist and the beast completely different he gives them different names for a reason because they have different descriptions personalities and purposes
Well time will tell if the antichrit is a person or not.

But I will go with Scripture that defines him as a person and not a spirit or religion or government or Satan himself.

This is what is definitely"today's accepted interpretations," but it is incorrect. The Stone is Jesus at His first coming while the 2:35 is His return. The Stone is what separates the Jewish people from"pottery clay" vs. "ceramic clay." This is the action or symbolic event that is discussed in verses 41-44. Then, in chapter 7, the 4th kingdom reveals the 10 hors (which represent the 10 toes in the symbolic iron feet of the 4th kingdom of pagan Romeo released or freed up and can / will now be preached to the Gentile world - the 10 toes represent God's 10 commandments that were kept under control with the Jewish people (clay). They will be identified as 10 horns because they have the power to change lives and the power of God within them. Later in chapter 7:24, they will be referred to as 10 kings because they have transitioned to the top of the 4th beast, along with the little horn. Thus, these 10, just like any king, must be honored and obeyed.

These movements and activities are the result of the most important action during our history - Jesus would come to (Stone) to separate those of His people to preach the Good news (Testimony of Jesus and the 10 commandments) to the Gentile world... the Jews, prior to the cross failed to spread the One ture God to the pagans / Gentiles all during their history. They kept Him to themselves. God's plan of salvation - using the cross, would ensure His Word and the One true God would be freed up from the symbolic iron feet of the 4th kingdom.

All of this happened and exactly within this storyline given to Daniel by God.

Ask yourself - what is the reason God uses very different symbols between 2 and 7? What would be the cause for the movements from 2 to 7? Why do we see the 10 horns on the outside of the 4th beast kingdom? Why are they idetified as horns instead of toes? Who is this little horn that comes after the 10 horns? Why does he come after them? How did all of this happen and why is God giving us this information?

The main reason these two verses - 34 and 35 were treated both as events that would take place at the end of time is because they could not identify the 10 toes or 10 horns. Since they could not be identified in our history books, they must both be future events. They must be 10 kings coming in the future. But they represent God's 10 commandments as they transition from within the Jewish people captive in the feet of the 4th kingdom through the cross, through the time of Constantine, through the demise of pagan Rome, and coming to sit atop the new 4th beast kingdom of papal Rome headed by the top bishop of the church of Rome - the little horn.

These things just didn't happen without God revealing them to us in Daniel. Almost everyone has placed these events / verses at the end of time when they speak of the mission of Jesus.

Thanks for your response. I would ask you to take a look at my recent response # 99 below and just give it some consideration. Thanks
