Okay, so think about that and then read this:The biblical means by which we escape the second death is remaining faithful untill death.
Revelation 2
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
This indicates that having part in the first resurrection results in escaping the second death. So, that tells me that there is a connection between having part in the first resurrection and remaining faithful until death. It's not a bodily resurrection that is required to escape the second death, so you need to interpret Revelation 20:6 accordingly and rethink what it means to have part in the first resurrection. What does scripture say is the first resurrection?
Acts 26:23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
Scripture says that Christ's bodily resurrection was the first resurrection from the dead, so that tells me that having part in the first resurrection relates to having part in Christ's resurrection.
Do you agree that we spiritually have part in Christ's resurrection when we put our faith in Christ and keep faith in Him until death?
Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
We identify with His death and resurrection by going from being dead in our sins to being spiritually alive in Christ, right? Why would that not have something to do with having part in the first resurrection when you consider that His resurrection was the first resurrection?
