it is. And my bible tells me Jesus is God.What man states is not what matters most, it is what the bible states that matters
@Pearl 'God was manifest in the flesh' (1 Timothy 3.16); 'the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us' and 'the glory of the only begotten of the Father' (John 1.14) are indeed wondrous, vital truths.Right from being born again almost 46 years ago I have never heard anything other that Jesus is God in the flesh. Seems you have been going to the wrong church.
As for not being saved I think God is bigger than that and sees our hearts and knows if our love for Jesus in genuine or not.
I agree with your last part. I accept people as christians even if they insist you must believe Christ is God himself to be saved, and that contradicts the bible! No I can't say I have. Why would a church which believe Jesus is God preach anything other than that? I believe a lot of people are taught false doctrines and untruths, but I also believe that if a person sincerely loves Jesus then God knows what is in their hearts. And that is what matters.
Show me a verse that plainly states Jesus is the one TRUE Godit is. And my bible tells me Jesus is God.
Hi Sir; what is your church background, if I may ask? the question is not meant to be intrusive; just to be able to understand better where you may be coming from.I will tell you the truth, this is nearly always an internet thing. In over 40 years of going to various trinitarian churches I never once heard any minister state from the pulpit Christ is the one true God, let alone you must believe it to inherit eternal; life. It is head theologists that come out with all of this on the internet, they consider themselves gifted in much knowledge through much study, however studying with reliance on the academic mind does not lead into spiritual truth, you must look elsewhere for that
Baptist/pentecostal mainlyHi Sir; what is your church background, if I may ask? the question is not meant to be intrusive; just to be able to understand better where you may be coming from.
John 8:24Show me a verse that plainly states Jesus is the one TRUE God
Acts 7:35John 8:24
Almighty God says:Show me a verse that plainly states Jesus is the one TRUE God
Last time I've checked even demons can quote scripture.@Jim B @stephen64 @Johann
When you are brimming with lies, you can't hear the Truth.
John 8:44-45
John 8:47
@Pearl Wonderful how Old and New Testaments tie in together with such references about the Lord Jesus.Almighty God says:
Isaiah 48:12
“Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am he; I am the first and I am the last.
Jesus says
Revelation 21:6
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
OK, so you have no verse that plainly states Jesus is the one true GodAlmighty God says:
Isaiah 48:12
“Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am he; I am the first and I am the last.
Jesus says
Revelation 21:6
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
Revelation 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
accept that, but adds to it, claiming you must believe Christ is God himself to be saved cannot be being led of the Holy Spirit
It should be obvious that both who claim to the first and last are the same. But seems you can't see it.OK, so you have no verse that plainly states Jesus is the one true God
I will give you Jesus words on the matter, very plain words:
Now this is eternal life: that they know you(the Father), the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John17:3
The only obvious thing here is, you refuse to accept what is plainly written. Christ is not the Father, as you would agree. And Jesus plainly stated, the Father is the only true GodIt should be obvious that both who claim to the first and last are the same. But seems you can't see it.
Not to mention ho Kurion mou kai ho Theos mou. Christ is God manifest in the flesh.@Pearl 'God was manifest in the flesh' (1 Timothy 3.16); 'the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us' and 'the glory of the only begotten of the Father' (John 1.14) are indeed wondrous, vital truths.
You see, this is your wisdom isnt it, the plain words of Jesus must be turned around to mean something other than they plainly state. You must forgive me, I do not feel able to do thatIt should be obvious that both who claim to the first and last are the same. But seems you can't see it.
