It was a pattern on how God saves sinners.
Your view of predestination, the elect, were saved from before the foundation of the world. If certain people, the elect, are saved. what are they saved from?
And what is the purpose of Christ coming to save them, when they are already saved?
Also, in your view what happens to the non-elect?

Whether you sin or not, you do not lose your salvation through Christ. God still called Adam a son. Adam and woman were only banned from the garden and the tree of life. They still knew God and talked to Him. Adam is in the direct family tree of Jesus.
Balaam talked with God and we see the evil he went into, so anyone can fall into the devils traps he has set, look at all those saying they speak in tongues and dishonor God with their words and actions.

A Born Again ,after becoming Born Of The Spirit, are then saved from eternal damnation and the wrath of God.

A Born Again is a spirit child of God...having being birthed into his spiritual realm, by the Living Spirit.
which is on the earth today.

We grow ,mature, are being conformed into Jesus image, we also bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Chosen and predestined to represent the Living Spirit Of God.

Ephesians 2
Berean Standard BiblePar ▾
Alive with Christ
(Colossians 2:6–23)
1And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
4But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.a
One in Christ
(Philippians 2:1–4)
11Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)— 12remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
14For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility 15by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace 16and reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility.
17He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Christ Our Cornerstone
(Isaiah 28:14–22; 1 Corinthians 3:10–15; 1 Peter 2:1–8)
19Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21In Him the whole building is fitted together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord.22And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit.

So, you reject clear scriptural statements. Are you rejecting that they even are scripture? So, you believe that there is much in scripture that is not plain truth, thus we can ignore a lot of scripture?
Why are the texts that were cited rejecting plain truth?
You reject the plain truth

It was a pattern on how God saves sinners.

Not with Apostle Paul, who was on his way to Damascus with hunting down Christians when Jesus Himself converted him.

Would that mean that Saul (later called Paul) already knew... about The Gospel and rejected it, otherwise how would he have identified the Christians he was hunting?

Can those who are saved.explain to me what that means?..please tell me what you are saved from....and how do you know that you are saved.

Please explain what saved means...I’ve been waiting months to get my question answered?
What saved means? In terms of Spiritual Salvation?

It means you've been brought to life from among all the dead ones by sharing in Jesus' death. It means you've died and risen with Him, so now you are one of God's children, sharing in all Jesus has, including sonship, and eternal life, and all good things.'

You are saved from the death of sin, from the wrath of God, and from the power of sin, having already died in Christ. You are saved to eternal life in communion with God and His people, to know Him forever, to be holy and righteous before Him.

Obviously there is more to it than that, but that's the basics.

Much love!

Do you agree? Anything to add?

Much love!
Yes, I believe all that...for me , i became Born Again, having never read a Bible...so, the Spirit has brought me to understand all that you posted.

Marks says....It means you've been brought to life from among all the dead ones by sharing in Jesus' death. It means you've died and risen with Him,

RJ says...yes, my spirit was brought from death to life in Christ, when it became Born Of The Spirit.

It’s because of the death and resurrection that my spirit can be reconciled back to my Spirit Father God.

Mark says-so now you are one of God's children, sharing in all Jesus has, including sonship, and eternal life, and all good things.'

Yes, once the Spirit testified to my spirit that I was God’s child...as I became Born Of The Spirit, having never read a Bible...

Marks says...You are saved from the death of sin, from the wrath of God, and from the power of sin, having already died in Christ.

RJ says....yes, once my spirit became Born Again..".God speaks to you one way, he speaks to me another way...it’s fascinating how he speaks to us all so very differently...

Marks says...You are saved to eternal life in communion with God and His people, to know Him forever, to be holy and righteous before Him.

RJ says....I think we both agree, it’s just that the Spirit explains saved to us...the way we will come to understand it ,within our hearts/ spirit...

What we have posted is all Biblical...

Everyone’s testimony/ belief is theirs and God has shown me, that all testimonies need to be respected.

A Born Again ,after becoming Born Of The Spirit, are then saved from eternal damnation and the wrath of God.
Entering His Kingdom through baptism, which is being born of water and the Spirit, John 3:5, does not guarantee salvation. Whether we are eventually saved, (upon one's departure from this world) depends on our faithfulness to abide by the promises we made at one's baptism. I Pet1:3-5 (through our faith(fulness)

Only if we desire to work with the Holy Spirit. Anyone is free to depart from the living God and go his own way.
Chosen and predestined to represent the Living Spirit Of God.
No person is predestined to be saved. As believers Christ predestined that we would be conformed to His Image Rom 8:29. As believers we are His Chosen.

(You have two texts here that you are conflating. Eph 2:1-5 is addressing the work of Christ by His incarnation and resurrection. Christ made mankind alive, How? By His resurrection He made all men alive, I Cor 15:22, Rom 5:18. By the use of the preposition (with) clearly shows this as the distinction is shown in verse 8. Christ needs to defeat death before He could call all men to repentance and belief in Him.
It would not make sense if this is ONLY about believers. This would make Christ part of those who were dead in sins and tresspasses, and lived according to the course of this world. Some translations use the word "quicken" which means to be made alive physically. a more accurate meaning.
Paul also puts the last phrase in parentheses and in the past tense. Why? Christ's work is done.
The next verses tell us why He did this.
10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life
So that those, to whom Paul is speaking could be saved THROUGH FAITH. This is the purpose why He needed to save all men from death, defeat death, redeem His world.

Above you also used Colossians 2:6F
Verse 12 is the key verse because it essentially repeats Eph 2:1-10

That’s your understanding of spirit baptism..

I was Born Of The Spirit, having never read a Bible, the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.

Born Again of imperishable seed that liveth and abideth forever....the Spirit testifies with my spirit all day every day, that I’m God’s child..I am permanently Born Of The Spirit....the Spirit will never leave my spirit ...and I can never leave the Spirit...I belong to God The Father, Jesus paid the price for me to be his...none that the Father gives to the Son...he won’t lose one.

I am a representative for the Living Spirit Of God and his mighty Living power....that’s my calling...
Only if we desire to work with the Holy Spirit. Anyone is free to depart from the living God and go his own way.
Sorry don’t agree. Once we have been supernaturally birthed by divine heart revelation, I can NEVER be un- birthed, just as his word says.

Your post doesn’t resonate with my spirit...neither does it have to.thats your own personal testimony, no more valid than mine or anyone else’s.

I stand on God’s Living Witness/ testimony, His Living Holy Spirit.

I don’t stand on woman’s/ men’s testimony/ opinion or belief.

I stand on what was testified to my spirit 33 years ago.

If you start telling people that they have it all wrong, then you will butt heads.

You weren’t there when my spirit was birthed.....Spirit gives birth to spirit?

I have been called to question..but also to respect the testimonies and beliefs of others....God touches us all very differently, as we can see on many threads and by different testimonies.

All of us are seeking the Lord God out with all of our heart.....we all Love God on this forum and we should all start to love one another...not keep arguing until the cows come home....been there done all that for years...I ain’t going back to that again...I’m maturing in Christ...Praise God.

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

This sounds good; but it made me think of God’s purpose in Election standing. We know the word Predestined exists in the Bible, so God’s purpose in Election could also predate the World...
Why would God speak with Cain, and try to get him to not kill Abel, if Cain was predestined to do it, anyways?

Why would God test Abraham by telling him to kill Isaac, then stop him right before he did it, then tell Abraham: “Now I do know that you are God-fearing…”, if it was predetermined?

We have to reason on the Scriptures, and then alter our suppositions accordingly.

Why would God test Abraham by telling him to kill Isaac, then stop him right before he did it, then tell Abraham: “Now I do know that you are God-fearing…”, if it was predetermined?

We have to reason on the Scriptures, and then alter our suppositions accordingly.
The reason why, is because God has his Preceptive Will; thou Shalt not Kill. But God also has his Permissive Will; allowing for our Agency. Because of Original Sin, God was within his Rights to punish Abel and Isaac; through Cain and Abraham. God Meant the Killing of Abel to be a Type of Jesus Christ; his blood cries out to God. Since God has the Right to have a Sinner killed, God didn’t Sin. But God 'Meant' Abel's death for Good; for the saving of many lives. The same goes for Isaac; God Meant this instance as a Type of the Crucifixion of Christ, and of Substitutionary Atonement. Again, because of Original Sin; God was within his Rights to have a Sinner like Isaac killed. But God 'Meant' this for Good, for the saving of many lives; by establishing a Typology which proves Jesus is the Christ...

Reasoning with Scripture, reveals Typology; not Molinism. Types are Foreordained Acts, right?
