Errmmm... No
It's not Algebra.
But folks are gonna search for justification for their disobedience addiction and call those who don't Legalists. That much is for sure. It gets worse all the time. 50 years ago no one claimed that the ten commandments were absolved by the new covenant. Nobody. Now it's Hippie Theology. "Just love one another. The Holy Spirit will magically show you how." What do these people think God planned to write on the hearts of New Covenant believers?

Count me out. :)

hippie theology? That’s a new one!

Paul tells us we don't have a license to sin because we are saved by Grace through faith.

I seriously doubt anyone who thinks that way has ever been saved!

saved?

Matt 24:13 he who endures unto the end shall be saved;

Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

so salvation cannot be by faith

As I posted previously about catholic Unbiblical Doctrine......they say this proudly, I suppose .Itvshould be said with shame——“ Give us a child until they are seven, and we will have them for life.”

The Brainwashing is being played out in here before your eyes....they put their trust in a fellow sinner that wears a funny collar —- they never read their Bibles —- they just figure,” well, THAT guy must have read it.....we’ll just take his word about everything”
Many Protestant Churches are no better.....at least the catholics are up- front with their ignorance....ya gotta give ‘ em that....

explain Jn 20:21-23

Lol.....you just make it up as you go along, don’t you?

Got any chapter and verse fir this?

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
(Even above “Faith alone”?)

logical if you can’t remember it how can you confess it
Your repentance covers them as long as your not hiding them

Yes, and he mentions that Christ personally gave him that Gospel 3 times in scripture.

If they would study that Gospel in his epistles we wouldn't have anyone to argue with!

Believe it or not, we could all be in one accord as the early church was at one time.

I talked to a catholic guy that I had worked with for 30 years.....he had been a catholic for all of his life....( he was around 55 or so) .....I started talking about Paul.... he asked me, “Who is Paul?”. He did not have a clue.....great job of teaching there, Romanists ! This guy is FAR from being alone in his Biblical Ignorance....and of course, the Protestants are almost as bad.....

Frankly I don't believe that, either; although @Blood Bought 1953 misrepresents me as saying that.

What I really believe is that when we come to Christ, we make a 180-degree turn away from sin, death, hell, and satan, towards righteousness, life, heaven, and God.

And this does not consist of dredging up every sin that I have ever committed and specifically repenting of each individual sin. The Holy Spirit will pinpoint those sins over time so that we can confess them and be cleansed, after we are saved.

Repenting means changing your direction so that you are no longer walking in the direction of sin. Then when the Holy Spirit pinpoints a specific sin to you, you will not any longer walk acccording to that sin because you were not walking in sin's direction.

If someone genuinely repents of sin, the love of God will be shed abroad in his heart; which is the fulfilling of the righteousness of the law. And therefore, through the love of the Lord, we will cease from committing sins, according to the spirit and not the letter; because love fulfills the law and if the law is fulfilled in my life, I am not sinning.

However, you have misrepresented my point of view.

Therefore it is not going to condemn a man if he is baptized and places his faith in the operation of God.

If you count on that and are never baptized, you are gambling your eternity on the idea that you are right. And if you lose that gamble, you lose everything.

Some people thrive in gambling; but I think it is sheer folly to gamble one's eternity on the idea that water in John 3:5 might mean the amniotic fluid of natural birth; especially when baptism is a viable interpretation for what water might mean in that verse. The context bears it out in John 4:1-2.

The Catholic trademark is repressing the scripture from the layman.

They are not to read but to follow instruction from the church.

That's why they are one of the water cults, and law-keepers of their own merit.

Justification by faith that Paul preaches is foreign to them.

repressing the scripture from the laymen
That’s why they have a reading from the ot
Sing from the psalms
Reading from the NT
Reading from the gospel
and only a short 10 to 15 min homily

Paul never taught justification by faith alone
And we are to be instructed Lk 1:4 matt 28:19 etc

The amazing thing is that they accept Peter but reject Paul.

But what did Peter say about Paul?

2 Peter 3:15-16

"And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."
