While people may have a heart, for the trinity

Apparently the Lord does as well...

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

He makes us right with God

Does this include those they deny portions of scripture they reject such as 1 John 5:7 clueless-scratching.gif

What would make someone decide to reject portions of scripture which is in essence believing that some things the Lord says in His Word are.... not true.

It's up to you what you believe

I don't believe that 1 John 5:7 is a lie.

Try as you may... you cannot explain this way! disagree.gif

I believe and trust the bible

except for 1 John 5:7, right?

Therefore I do have you on ignore, and I don't trust anything you say

Be that as it may.... 1 John 5:7 cannot be explained away.

I have you ignore must because of the way that you tend to post

Yeah, when those that don't believe the whole counsel of God are confront with portions of scripture they have chosen to reject and not believe... they need to put those bringing what the Word of the Lord says on ignore so they can continue in their eisegesis (reading something into a text that isn't there)

Take care

No thank you.... I've cast all my care upon the Lord which is what His Word teaches.

Grateful to Yahavah is the way to be, thankful to the Lord Yeshua, and having relationship with the one whom loves us and cares about us. He would never treat as other people will treat us, he takes us in his care. He cares for us all, and sees us all more valuable than the birds themselves. It's a wonderful thing to be at peace with Yahavah, in faith to the Lord Jesus. I hope the best for all the people on this forum.

@Dan Clarkston, Yes I believe what that scripture says. I have no issues with that. What is your fixation on it? It doesn't mean anything more than what it states. You can see the Father working through his Word, and the Word working through the Holy Spirit all together as one.

I don’t feel condemned about it @Ronald Nolette. There is no condemnation for those in Christ. Thank you for your encouragement.
Well one has to ask, are you in the true Christ or an imitation?

If you do not accept that Jesus Christ is eternal God with HIs Father and Spirit, you are not in the Christ of the bible.

Matthew, let me give you a concrete example. The Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus is the christ. But they believe He is a created being and not equally divine as His Father.

They are wonderful people, very religious, zealous, and most of them have excellent moral character! But they are vey lost.

You can see the Father working through his Word, and the Word working through the Holy Spirit all together as one.

Those that believe the scripture wouldn't be trying to tell others the so called trinity is false doctrine.

1 John 5:7 very clearly tells us that God is a 3 part being Who functions in perfect agreement as One

God made man in His Own Image... so man is also a 3 part being that functions as one (see 1 Thessalonians 5:23)

This is all so simple that little children can understand, but with some adults... no so much

I know some have a problem with the word "trinity" which is not a word found in scripture... but what IS found in scripture is 1 John 5:7 which tells us that . . . there are THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE.

So really there is no argument about this for those that accept the whole counsel of God at all.

People may believe however they will. In the end it’s where you heart is in the end. Is God on the throne of your heart? That’s a question only oneself can answer. I’m not worried to much about debated topics anymore. Though I’ve placed one on here for a reason.

The truth is that it’s Yeshua who was raised up from the dead, whom makes us right with Him. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hello Dan Clarkston,

You are free to say and continue putting forward this scripture I accept. I do not believe personally that this signify the trinity as being a thing. You may, and that is fine. I don't know why you have the constant persistence to desire to speak about this as though it is something that has to do with making us right with God. I support and encourage people to read the bible. There is nothing wrong with this verse here. Now you suggesting within your quote, I find it just silly. What is the purpose? While I know for a fact, there are many people that disagree with me and suggest that the trinity being a real thing... that does not mean they do not love the Lord... So why you continue to persist in such a message is truly beyond me personally, but I will let you go ahead and comment away as much as you desire. I love you, and I hope the best for you in your life.

I love all people who belive in the trinity, those who do not, those who are roman catholic, mulism. It's imperative for people who follow Christ to put God first, and to love their neighbor as themselves, regardless of what certain standpoints they have. We are to love people where they are at, and encourage them to continue in faith, and to seek God which faith pleases him, and that I am truly thankful for.

Hebrews 11:6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Listen; to all the trinity believers. That’s fine if you believe that. It doesn’t affect my life at all. However is that what the Bible tell us to do? Believe on the trinity to be saved? I personally love the Father in Heaven, the Word which he had sent that became flesh, and was born of flesh and spirit, and am thankful that Yahavah places the Holy Spirit in the hearts of believers of the resurrected Yeshua; whom was raised by the Holy Spirit of the Father. Does all those things make me a “trinity believers?” Does holding the title card of believing the trinity make a person a better Christian than the other who may not believe that tradition?

Without the FATHER, the WORD/Jesus and the HOLY SPIRIT - no one could be SAVED

Dwell on that!

Hello @David in NJ,

What is there to dwell on, sir? I don't understand the sentiment. You know that word saved, in context means typically saved from sin, saved from the wrath of God coming, saved from type of disease, and there is another one I forget. In the Bible Jesus came to preach to the people of Israel to repent of their sins, in order to be saved from the coming wrath. Did you know that? Most people do not know that, or have not given it any thought but in that day in age, the Wrath of God was coming upon the nation of Israel.

I don't know why people are so fixated on the trinity... but I do believe in God, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit of God... It seems many really aren't sure of what I believe, but I am not to shy in sharing it at all. I'm thankful that our fellowship is with the Father, and with the Son, and our connection is by and through faith, and the holy spirit/spirit of Christ moves us into motivations to love God, and love other people.

The fourth saved would be in regards to being saved to the kingdom of Yahavah. I do believe that faith is a needed requirement, as that is the only thing that pleases God. It's all a choice though, at the end of the day. Hope you are doing well.

I believe all people who seek after God in faith, and love God and love others, by and through the resurrected Christ Jesus, are saved to the Kingdom of Heaven, and that is a promise which people can surely trust in even so today.

Genesis 1:26 - "Let Us make man in Our image according to Our likeness"

The FATHER is Elohim
The WORD that was Elohim became flesh = JESUS
The HOLY SPIRIT is Elohim

If you remove any One, no one could be SAVED = no one!!!

Remove the FATHER and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the WORD and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the HOLY SPIRIT and you have no SON and no Savior

This is why the Only True Elohim is a TRIUNE Elohim

Hello @David in NJ,
Genesis 1:26 - "Let Us make man in Our image according to Our likeness"

This scripture can just be seen as God speaking in a Kingly manner.

I’ve heard of God being Elohim, meaning plural. I do believe that, and perhaps why God made man in his image making them Male and Female.

Either way, you can say it one way, and I can say it another. I do not believe in the trinity personally and if you do. That is okay.

What makes people right with God is simply stated here by Paul to the people in his day.

“And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If you want to add to Paul’s words you are more than welcome to, but what makes people righteous, is believing that God raised Jesus from the dead.

You may desire to argue your trinity stance, that’s all fine and good however I believe it’s wrong to say it makes people right with God.

Paul wrote this:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

Remove the FATHER and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the WORD/Jesus and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the HOLY SPIRIT and you have no SON and no Savior

If you remove any One, no one could be SAVED = no one!!

Hello @David in NJ,

You can continue to argue, but no one is removing anything from God, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit as being one.

The question is, one what?
God speaks the Word and the Word created and the Holy Spirit of God was something that came from God himself.

I’m just saying this topic is “does the trinity make a person right with God.”

The answer is no. The word trinity never exists in the Bible not one time. Godhead does but not trinity.

But you know these things already.

If Paul is lying though, there is no reason to trust him.

“And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. This is the 3rd time you are being given the TRUTH to your question.

If you argue against this TRUTH you argue against GOD.

Remove the FATHER and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the WORD/Jesus and you have no SON and no Savior
Remove the HOLY SPIRIT and you have no SON and no Savior

If you deny any One, no one could be SAVED = no one!!

Hello @David in NJ,

If you follow Jesus then you should walk away. However you want to continue to banter. That is fine. You may banter all you want to.

I trust what Paul said, and I love you either way.

“And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. I love all these people on the board, but some people just seem very intrusive and they push for a narrative that may or may not be true.

If we have a Bible to look at and find answers too, why do people push narratives which suggest people are not Christian’s unless they believe what they say? Or that they are not saved?

I think people who become hardened in their heart on certain matters only can try and project certain things upon people that if they don’t believe it they aren’t really saved.

I disagree with people who believe in the trinity. But I don’t mind them believing it, I don’t believe it as I’m never told I have to.

What Paul instructed was to believe on God whom had sent him, Jesus and raised Jesus from the dead that is what makes people right with God…

My encouragement is for people to read the Bible and don’t believe anything I say or what others may say but see and test all things said by the use of the Bible.
