I'd agree with you, I don't think the rapture is taught in the Gospels at all. It was a mystery - musterion, something only knowable by revelation - until God revealed it through Paul, so that was much later.

Before the flood one taken, one left behind.
That gathering is normal life and peacetime.
In fact all pretrib rapture verses are commerce and normal life.
Mabe Change your Bible to read that Lot and Noah were gathered after judgement?
Maybe Change your Bible to make acts 1 read " this same Jesus will return, not in like manner, but as a conquer and killer of the devil army with all of you martyred by the Antichrist. "
Maybe just jettison Rev 14:14.
Or maybe READ the pretrib rapture verses for the first time in your life without the rip and shread goggles on.?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something you are saying. The Gospels don't contain everything that the rest of the New Testament does, and not everything was revealed at the same time. This in no wise makes the one or the other in any way "less than". Jesus and Paul were not contrary to each other.

The virgin parable vividly depicts a pretrib rapture that is impossible to miss.
Mat 24 : 38 destroys any hope of a postrib rapture

It was Jesus HIMSELF that declared the 2 escape verses.
