Romans 4:3 KJV
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

This is our example.

Why was his belief counted as righteousness? Why did God justifiy Abraham because of his belief? If indeed believing is put into a person by God, with nothing to do with that person, then believing is the result of justification, not the precursor.

Romans 4:19-20 KJV
19) And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
20) He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

I've made mention of active voice verbs, that this is something the person themself does. Here, in vs. 20, we see a passive voice verb, "was strong", literally meaning, was made strong. This being passive voice, the action was done to him.

Abraham believed - active voice, he did that - and God counted his belief for righteousness. If believing God were not prerequisite to justification, This should say, And God counted Abraham righteous. But it was that Abraham believed God, specifically, that Abraham would have countless descendants.

Then comes the day to day living, and how will Sarah actually become pregnant this late in life?

In this, Abraham's faith was strenthened by God, "giving glory to God", since it was God Who did that. Again, these are facts known by the tenses of the verbs. But don't just assume that there is no spiritual part to this. Without the Holy Spirit, these things will mean nothing to you. As the Holy Spirit reveals His truth to you, you will see that His Word means exactly what it says.

What does this believing mean? Where does it come from?Romans 4:20-25 KJV
20) He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21) And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22) And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23) Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24) But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25) Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

God told Abraham certain promises, and Abraham believed the truthfulness of those promises. The wording used is "being fully persuaded".

How does the Spirit of God bear witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God?
But the Spirit especially bears witness to Christians' sonship by co-testifying with believers' own spiritsthat they are children of God (Rom. 8:16). Christians themselves bear witness to their sonship when they cry, “Abba, Father,” and the Spirit adds his own, and better, witness by testifying along with their cry
1 Corinthians 15:11 KJV
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
We communicate with God in our spirit, why, because we have been Born Of The Spirit...we are spiritual children...Gods witness the Living Holy Spirit is our teacher and guide?

Only the Spirit can bring you to understanding Gods written word, as it can only be understood in the spirit as it’s a spiritual book.

Remember we have a new heart and spirit within,,we are also partakers Of the divine nature?

Ezekiel 36:26-27

King James Version

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

2 Peter 1:3-4

King James Version

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Romans 8:9
Verse (Click for Chapter)
King James Bible
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

New King James Version
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

American Standard Version
But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Berean Study Bible
You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

Douay-Rheims Bible
But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Active voice verb, something you do. If this were a believing that God caused to be inside you, not from yourself, but from Him, it would need to be written with passive voice verbs, otherwise, it would not be accurate, correct. The language is very specific. And you won't understnd the message without the Holy Spirit causing you to understand.
We understand in our spirit when we are Born Again my lovely, by The Spirit testifying with our spirit that we are Gods children...it’s called the Living spiritual/ supernatural birth....Only Gods Witness can perform this spiritual birth....we are Born from above, we aren’t Born from the written word.....although Gods Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit could decide to make your spirit Born Again while reading the written word...
When the Holy Spirit does cause you to understand, this is what you will understand, exactly what is written.

The Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children.thats where we understand in our spirit ...God caused to be inside you, not biblical?

We are supernaturally Born Of The Spirit, our spirit is Born Again.
Much love!
I ask again how can you believe in your spirit that Jesus hung on a cross?

How can you believe in your spirit in God?

How do you know that god made Adam from the dust of the ground?

How do you know that the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus ?

Where in you do you need to know this and who brings you to this spiritual knowledge?

I’ve already answered this question..I don’t need to know who is condemned.
If you know who is condemned you know who is not condemned

Then you have to ask why these people are in this condition.
Not everyone reads a Bible including me at one time ,so many are ignorance , as I say God is in control on who becomes Born Again by His Spirit
He will not just make you born again. You can not be born again unless you hear his word and believe.
God does not talk as in when it’s convenient for you to tell him when you choose for him to make your spirit Born Again...no he doesn’t...he testifies with our spirit as he’s indwelling our spirit .....he does not have a conversation with anyone in regards to getting your permission to be Born Of The Spirit, that is folly.
He said we must believe. If we do not believe we are condemned
Now you are telling God what he can and cannot do. Amazing
I said there are many of my questions you haven’t answered.read my post regarding this.
I have answered all of them

I am still waiting for you to answer me about the words I highlighted in eph 1 and 2.

I am bearing no false witness..as I posted above many of my questions you have not answered.

There is no sin in a Born Again as they have been Born Of God’s seed....that can only come by heart/ spiritual revelation, when Gods Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit makes our spirit Born Again of imperishable/ incorruptible seed.
lol.. Your not sinless my friend

No wonder your pride is so deep you think you make no error. if you are decieved enough to think you have no sin.. There is no helping you

No I don’t.

There are no instructions on how we become Born Of The Spirit
He will not just make you born again. You can not be born again unless you hear his word and believe.
That is not how God says we are Born Of The Spirit....The Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children...that’s my testimony...mind Blowing...much more to my testimony than that, which I’ve explained many times.

Already explained all this countless times.

God brings us to initially believe in Jesus...then he forgives our sins then he gifts us the faith to believe in our spirit..faith is a manifestation of the Spirit..you cannot believe anything about Jesus unless you have been Born Of The Spirit...you need God’s Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit to,Witness the truth of Gods written word to our heart/ spirit
I have answered all of them

No you did not..scroll back and you will see.

A Born Again does not sin, I go by Gods Witness His Living Holy Spirit Spirit...then I check out what he has witnessed to my spirit in the written word and there it is A Born Again does not sin because they have been Born Of God’s seed.

No one said I was never without sin.

Our bodies are like tents that we live in here on earth. But when these tents are destroyed, we know that God will give each of us a place to live. These homes will not be buildings someone has made, but they are in heaven and will last forever

I ask again how can you believe in your spirit that Jesus hung on a cross?
The Bible tells me so, and I believe it's report, because God has shown me the Bible is true.

How can you believe in your spirit in God?

How do you know that god made Adam from the dust of the ground?

How do you know that the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus ?
The Bible tells me all of these things. God did not whisper into my ear that He created Adam from the dust. I read it in His Book, and His Book is true, as He is True.
Where in you do you need to know this and who brings you to this spiritual knowledge?
Where in me? Are we into dissection now?

I was first persuaded by God in my mind, and then I received Him into my heart, and He made me born again, alive in the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:1 KJV
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1 Corinthians 1:17-18 KJV
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Much love!

How would you know this?

By your own human understanding?
Where in me? Are we into dissection now?
Where in me isn’t biblical.
I was first persuaded by God in my mind, and then I received Him into my heart, and He made me born again, alive in the Spirit.
That I’m afraid is not how we are Born Of The Spirit.

There is no scripture that says God persuaded you in your mind...that is your opinion/ testimony and belief.

1 Peter 1
Berean Standard BiblePar ▾
A Greeting from Peter
(2 Peter 1:1–2)
1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To the elect who are exiles of the Dispersion throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, chosena 2according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by His blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
A Living Hope
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birthb into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials 7so that the proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
8Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9now that you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully, 11trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
12It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.
A Call to Holiness
(Hebrews 12:14–17)
13Therefore prepare your minds for action.c Be sober-minded. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance. 15But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”d
17Since you call on a Father who judges each one’s work impartially, conduct yourselves in reverent fear during your stay as foreigners. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. 20He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.
21Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him; and so your faith and hope are in God.
The Enduring Word
(Isaiah 40:6–8)
22Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth so that you have a genuine love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from a pure heart.e 23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24For,
“All flesh is like grass,
and all its glory like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25but the word of the Lord stands forever.”f
And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.

Just found this from Got answers....

What is Calvinism and is it biblical?

podcast video five points of Calvinism
audio

ANSWER

The five points of Calvinism can be summarized by the acronym TULIP. T stands for total depravity, U for unconditional election, L for limited atonement, I for irresistible grace, and P for perseverance of the saints. Here are the definitions and Scripture references Calvinists use to defend their beliefs:

Total Depravity - As a result of Adam’s fall, the entire human race is affected; all humanity is dead in trespasses and sins. Man is unable to save himself (Genesis 6:5; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10-18).

Unconditional Election - Because man is dead in sin, he is unable to initiate a response to God; therefore, in eternity past God elected certain people to salvation. Election and predestination are unconditional; they are not based on man’s response (Romans 8:29-30;9:11; Ephesians 1:4-6, 11-12) because man is unable to respond, nor does he want to.

Limited Atonement - Because God determined that certain ones should be saved as a result of God’s unconditional election, He determined that Christ should die for the elect alone. All whom God has elected and for whom Christ died will be saved (Matthew 1:21; John 10:11; 17:9; Acts 20:28; Romans 8:32; Ephesians 5:25).

Irresistible Grace - Those whom God elected He draws to Himself through irresistible grace. God makes man willing to come to Him. When God calls, man responds (John 6:37, 44; 10:16).

Perseverance of the Saints - The precise ones God has elected and drawn to Himself through the Holy Spirit will persevere in faith. None whom God has elected will be lost; they are eternally secure (John 10:27-29; Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:3-14).

While all these doctrines have a biblical basis, many people reject all or some of them. So-called “four-point Calvinists” accept Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints as biblical doctrines. Man is definitely sinful and incapable of believing in God on his own. God elects people based on His will alone – election is not based on any merit in the person chosen. All those whom God has chosen will come to faith. All those who are truly born-again will persevere in their faith. As for Limited Atonement, however, four-point Calvinists believe that atonement is unlimited, arguing that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just for the sins of the elect. “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). Other verses in opposition to limited atonement are John 1:29; 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:6; and 2 Peter 2:1.

The five-point Calvinists, however, see problems with four-point Calvinism. First, they argue, if Total Depravity is true, then Unlimited Atonement cannot possibly be true because, if Jesus died for the sins of every person, then whether or not His death is applicable to an individual depends on whether or not that person “accepts” Christ. But as we have seen from the above description of Total Depravity, man in his natural state has no capacity whatsoever to choose God, nor does he want to. In addition, if Unlimited Atonement is true, then hell is full of people for whom Christ died. He shed His blood in vain for them. To the five-point Calvinist, this is unthinkable. Please note: this article is only a brief summary of the five points of Calvinism. For a more in-depth look, please visit the following pages: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints.

Well if you can show me a verse that says they are automatically born again at conception or birth- I am all ears. but once again this is what Jesus said:

JOhn 3:3 "Unless a person is born again, they cannot see the kingdom of God".

Do you believe a baby is a person?

You sound just like a pro-abortion supporter.

What do the following tell you? Where did Jesus mention Born Again regarding children?

Matthew 19:13-14
Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Mark 10:13-16
And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.
( Seems like children do not need to be.)
Luke 18:15-17
And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them. But Jesus called for them, saying, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
(As above)

Matthew 18:2-5
And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Mark 9:36-37
Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, “Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

Luke 9:47-48
But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking in their heart, took a child and stood him by His side, and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.”

Matthew 18:10

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 18:14

So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.

John Calvin.. who Calvinism came from also

John Calvin succeeds in stating his position on baptism in such a way that it becomes not only an integral part of his entire system of theological thought, but also an occasion for a very lucid exposition of the central themes characteristic of his theology.

Sounds good right????? NOW ENTER HIS THOUGHTS ON.......................

John Calvin on “Infant Baptism”

“Reason would tell us that baptism is rightly administered to babies. The Lord did not give circumcision long ago without making them (infants) partakers of everything represented by circumcision. He would have been deceiving his people with a sham, if he had reassured them with false signs. The idea is very shocking. He distinctly states that the circumcision of the infant is the seal of covenant promise. If the covenant remains firm and unmoved, this is just as relevant to the children of Christians today as it was to the children of the Jews under the Old Testament…The truth of baptism applies to infants, so why do we deny them the sign? The Lord himself formally admitted infants to his covenant, so what more do we need?”

John 16:13-14 ESV / 24 helpful votes

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

John 1:11-13 KJV
11) He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Much love!

For those of you familiar with the late Billy Graham... he taught this.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

By Excerpted from "Does the Holy Spirit Shine Through You?" by Billy Graham February 10, 2011

First, the work of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of our sin. “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:8, NKJV). He uses a mother’s prayers, or a tragic experience, or a pastor’s sermon, or some other experience to convict us of sin and of our need to run our lives over to Jesus Christ. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. He points to us and says, “You are a sinner. You need to repent.”

We don’t like to hear that, but that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Without that work we could never have our sins forgiven, we could never be saved, we could never go to Heaven.

Second, the Holy Spirit gives new life. The Bible says that we are dead in our sins and trespasses (see Ephesians 2:1). Our spirit within us, made in the image of God, is dead toward God. Mankind needs life. All have sinned. Therefore, all are dead toward God. The Holy Spirit gives us new life in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “No one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again” (John 3:3). You must be born again.

And the Holy Spirit is the One who does the work of making you a born-again person. It is a supernatural act.

Paul said to Titus, “not by works of righteousness which we have done”–not all our good works and all the good things we have done are going to save us–“but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5, NKJV). We are saved by the mercy of God, by the grace of God. It is something I didn’t earn, something I didn’t work for. It is the gift of God, the gift of salvation.

Third, the Holy Spirit indwells us. As you read this, you may realize that you are spiritually dead, overdosed on our hedonistic culture. God says, “I will put my Spirit in you. I will come to live in you.” You body becomes the temple where God dwells by His Holy Spirit.

That is the reason we should never take anything unclean into our bodies. That is the reason we should discipline our bodies. God loves your body. He doesn’t want it polluted by fleshly lusts and the things to which you give yourself. The Bible says, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Fourth, The Holy Spirit gives you power to serve Christ. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8). I couldn’t do the work I am doing without the power of the Holy Spirit. I am a communicator of God’s message. He called me and gave me that gift. What counts is the message that–according to the Scripture–Christ died for our sins, He rose again. He is coming back again, and He is ready to come into your heart by the Holy Spirit and make you a new person.

That is the Gospel.

You're trying to turn the table and claim RJ doesn't understand scripture?
Well, lets explore that for a moment.

She made a very rash statement about Nicodemus which she is yet to retract.
She doesn't understanding the method upon which which God has used to "cleanse" and "save" His People.
Just to avoid answering questions she posed to you.
If you go back in the heat of the discussion we both failed to answer all the questions!
You accuse her of Trolling you?
That is due to her inability to read, comprehend plain Scripture as presented in 1 Peter 1:23 and James 1:21 - then she made that ignorant statement about there being no text which speaks to the Word of God not being the mode of Saving us (born again)
That method of avoidance won't work either.
It's nice you want to defend Rita and I'm sure she feels comforted by your message but in the end if you hold lies and teach them you are not helping yourself or others.
