I avoid the news as much as possible in part because I hear about important things anyway.
Gen Z (ages 18-29) men are increasingly holding conservative views about dating and gender roles in particular while women are still very liberal.
Im going to link some articles and a video just to show I didn't make this up but if you read them, understand that they're likely written from a liberal point if view.
An ideological shift?
How Men and Women Are Dividing On Politics
My husband and I are Gen Z by the skin of our teeth. I'm 29, he'll be 29 this year. We married at 19/20. He was liberal in the beginning and I was actually more conservative. He converted to Christianity as we got to know each other.
I just think most Gen Z singles will have the opposite experience. I joined a Reddit group for Christian single discussion topics recently because singles don't just need to hear advice from other singles.
I saw a pattern. The men who posted dating profiles were open to women with kids, different ages, and different locations, but they wanted women who would see them as leaders, women who wanted children, and in many cases...trad wives.
The women wanted men who were spiritually mature amongst other things but a lot of them added things like "not into the trad wife thing, sorry", "I want an egalitarian marriage", "Please keep in mind, I have progressive views"
There were a lot of posts from singles in despair about dating. Mostly from men not getting opportunities to date at all and women not liking their options at all.
I think the conservative men should be open to using different methods for finding women besides dating apps. Dating apps are designed to make money, not great matches.
Proverbs 31 suggests a virtuous woman is hidden and hard to find. God can help reveal her, so rely on Him. He understands and its not wrong to want a good wife. It just might not happen right away.
As for the women being liberal... stop it. Do better. If nothing else, do not just take advice from other single women about dating and having good relationships. Men have to have qualities women want to date successfully. Women do too. To find out what men want, ask the men.
