Here are 3. (Deacon // Deaconess}
-
-
NIV:

""I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae.""

New Living Translation :

""I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a deacon in the church in Cenchrea.""

Amplified Bible:

""Now I introduce and commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess (servant) of Cenchrea""
yeah I forgot to qualify there was no such translation of deaconess in the KJV

Even if you want her to be a deacon how could she be a husband to qualify by beiing a husband,,,,,,,,,[1Ti 3:12 KJV] 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Its not up to me to "want her" to be anything.
What i do, is read a verse that says....>>"husband of one wife" and then i read another verse that says "she is a deacon/deaconess" and both verses are written by the same Apostle Paul.
And then in this case, i see that Paul has allowed her to be a deacon/deaconess........as i noted that he didnt instruct her Local Assembly to "stop that".....
That informs us, that in this case.....there is some leeway, some flexibility, that is not found regarding a "woman pastor".
See , the bible is very careful to be clear when something is definite, and that is why there is a female deacon, in the NT , but not a Female Pastor.

What i can do is offer an opinion.
My opinion is.....that Phoebe is a special anointed woman, and so, an exception is made.

Sometimes God does this.......He makes exceptions..
For example, in the OT... The Son of the Father, according to the Law is the HEIR.........but in one case, there was no Son, and the Father had daughters only... so, in this case......THEY were allowed to become the "rightful heir" of their Father's estate, even tho the OT Law does not offer this option.

It can also be the case that this Local Assembly was matured, and had no "strife" issues, related to a woman being a deacon.

So, what i do is not refuse the office of a Deacon to a woman who is proven to be faithful to her Congregation.
That is how i teach this particular situation.

No, Thyatira's mention of Jezebel wasn't a prophecy. It was a declaration about a single individual woman in those first-century days who was then teaching and seducing the servants of God to commit fornication and to eat things offered to idols. If you want to know the actual name of this woman nicknamed "Jezebel" who was calling herself a prophetess, it was Helen, a former prostitute who had come from a brothel in Tyre (the connection to the original Queen Jezebel whose hometown had been Tyre).

This woman Helen had been joined to the cult of the corrupt Simon Magus from Acts 8:9-24. Helen began serving as Simon Magus' consort and fellow-teacher. Together, they had been teaching the "doctrine of Balaam" in the days of the early church, a corrupt doctrine which is excoriated several times in the NT writings and in Revelation 2:14 & 20. One can read about Helen and Simon's history in Eusebius. Simon was pictured as a "dog" that "returned to his vomit", and Helen is the "adulteress" which 2 Peter 2:14 warned about, and "the sow which was washed" which returned to her "wallowing in the mire". God promised to soon kill this woman's converts with death, for their participation in this cult's sinful practices.
The letters have a three-fold message, the last being the history of the church until He comes. Don't cut God off short. Revelation means prophecies so why wouldn't the letters be prophetic? That is shortsightedness. It is very clear that the last four are current deominations that overlap each other till the end.

That she has this ministry proves the exception.

A few versions do translate her office as both "deacon" and "deaconess".

The reason the majority translate it as "deacon" is because this ministry is usually "the husband of one wife', but in HER case.... she has the ministry.

She could correctly be called a servant and still retain having a ministry

A Deaconess is a servant.

Think of it like this..

Paul has given her the title of "servant" in a Local Church......so, its a ministry....and all ministries are defined in the NT.

Jesus, on earth, was a "suffering servant"..

All ministries are "servants".
