It was always understood by the apostles that ALL would eventually be with God.
No, it was not. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Satan would like nothing better than for people to believe that they will eventually be saved no matter what they do. That gives them a license to sin and rebel against God all they want. What a terrible doctrine. You are so terribly deceived.

The only question was whether or not souls would purify themselves through their belief in Christ or if they would be condemned to the LOF for the remainder of "the age" or perhaps a period of time in the age.

In the end, ALL will be resurrected and given to God the Father.
That is a flat out lie that is not taught anywhere in scripture. Please pray for wisdom (James 1:5-7) because right now you are completely lacking in wisdom when it comes to this particular doctrine.

All mistranslations.

Look up those verses using Young's Literal Translation.

Young is just one more Translator.

Listen.
The reason God sent the Cross to the World is this.

"Jesus said..>"i have come to save Sinners'.

If you think you are not a sinner, needing salvation, before you die, you have a hard landing in eternity to complete.

Jesus said, 'you must be born again", and thats not a mistranslation from the Vulgate or the Koine Greek.

I know there are KJV-only people, but you're the first YLT-only person I've seen. You're acting as if the Bible was originally written in English as shown in the YLT instead of originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

This means that He died to give the whole world the opportunity to have their sins forgiven, but the only ones who have their sins forgiven are those who believe. You are making it as if people don't have the responsibility to believe in Christ in order for His sacrifice to cover their sins. Why are you interpreting verses like this in such a way that contradicts many other verses? That is not wise.

This is a part of your misunderstanding.
Don't just say things like this to me without explaining what you mean. That is meaningless. What is your understanding of what is portrayed in Luke 16:19-31?

You know what is confusing about you? You seem to be very open-minded regarding end times doctrine, but not open-minded at all when it comes to this doctrine. Why is that?

To believe in "forever Hell" requires one to reject God's word.

2 Corinthians 5:19
that is, in Christ God was reconciling[c] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

You seem angry and have disparaged me repeatedly. But since you asked, to "torment" is a term that Bible authors used to describe testing. You see, God is a refiner. God defines us and fixes us. He doesn't say "This guy is FUBAR" and throw them into the garbage.

Basanos speaks about a touchstone. A touchstone is a black siliceous stone used to test the purity of silver and gold. The person would rub the metal on the stone and the color of the streak produced would show what it is. However, this word also means when someone is tortured. That’s because there is a force exerted in torturing someone for them to expose the truth.

This word is used of physical diseases (Matthew 4:24) and those in hell after death (Luke 16:23).

“And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

– Luke 16:23

No, it does not. You interpret verses in isolation hyper-literally without taking context and the rest of scripture into account. That is a terrible approach to interpreting scripture. Scripture is VERY clear that those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire and NOWHERE does it say that they are only cast there temporarily. Tell me why that would be the case. Tell me why they would ever be let off the hook for rejecting God and His Son? Why would God ever save people who don't want anything to do with Him? That is nonsense.

The poster teaches the false doctrine of "Universalism", that being all will be saved in the end, even Satan and the fallen angels

I am angry and I will continue to speak against your universal salvation doctrine. Your doctrine of universal salvation comes from the pit of hell. It's a horrible doctrine that can lead people to think they can do whatever they want and not worry about having to repent before it's too late because they will eventually be saved regardless. That's an absolutely terrible thing to promote. You clearly don't understand the urgency for people to repent and put their faith in Christ before it's too late. Why does scripture say that now/today is the day of salvation if it doesn't really matter when someone is saved? Have you ever thought about that? Your doctrine makes evangelism completely pointless.

But since you asked, to "torment" is a term that Bible authors used to describe testing.
Where? Don't just tell me things and think that I'm just going to take your word for it. Where are you getting this from?

You see, God is a refiner. God defines us and fixes us. He doesn't say "This guy is FUBAR" and throw them into the garbage.
He refines those who believe in Him. You left that part out. He doesn't refine people who don't want anything to do with Him. That is never taught in scripture.

I don't know what you were intending to say here. That person expressed regret at being separated from God and His people in Abraham's bosom. That's why he wanted the beggar Lazarus to be sent to his family to warn them about hell because he didn't want them to end up there and to be separated from God. It's not about torture, it's about sorrow and regret like I already said.

Luke 19:27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

Have you been reading what I've been saying to him? If so, you would already know that I am well aware of this. That's why I'm strongly refuting what he's saying. It's a terrible doctrine. A lie from the pit of hell.

This false doctrine is so outside of orthodoxy it doesn't demand attention, the ole swine and pearls comes to mind?

Matthew 7:6KJV
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Yes, I'm saying you should have already known that I know he believes that if you've been reading my responses to him. That is the false doctrine that I have been refuting.

It's worth taking the time to refute it for the benefit of others who might be deceived by it.

Yes, one must believe in and follow Jesus in order to be saved from God.
Yes, and what if someone refuses to do that and then they die? They will be resurrected later and forced to do that eventually and then will be saved? Is that what you think? Scripture never teaches such a thing.
