Only those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation will be saved. Salvation is conditional on faith, not works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) Placing your faith in "water and works" for salvation is not placing your faith in Jesus

Wrong, those who deny Jesus' gospel Mark 16:15-16, lack faith in Jesus.
If you do not believe how God has instructed us to be saved, you lack faith in Him.

No, Not wrong. Your misinterpretation is the error.
“Those who HAVE placed their faith”...
HAVE reveals something already accomplished.

FAITH, is a gift from God...a Blessing.
HEARING, the Word of God, is a mans act....of Service.
A man who HEARS Gods Word, receives, FAITH from God.
HEAR a little, receive a little FAITH.

Placing ones FAITH IN Jesus, IN Christ, IS equal to one BELIEVING IN Jesus, BELIEVING IN Christ.

Belief of a man IS an act of that mans SERVICE....NOT a WORKS.

Follow the ORDER;
Man HEARS Gods Word (Jesus)....a Service
God GIVES that man FAITH....a Gift, a Blessing.
Man BELIEVES Gods Word (Jesus)...a Service.
Man BELIEVES Gods Word is (Christ)...a Service.
Man CONTINUES HEARING....a Service
God CONTINUES Increasing FAITH...a Gift increase...a Blessing increase
Man CONTINUES BELIEVING....a Service
Man is “placing” his Belief IN that which is Gifting Him FAITH...a Service

IF that man CONTINUES....his Service...HE SHALL BE SAVED.

Continues unto WHEN? Until his body dies.
WHAT exactly SHALL BE SAVED? The mans soul.
WHEN exactly SHALL his soul be SAVED? When his body dies.
ONCE his body dies, and his soul IS SAVED, will his soul EVER become “unsaved” ? No.

The SAME APPLIES to a man CONVERTED IN CHRIST.
The SAME ORDER.
The DIFFERENCE IS...a CONVERTED man, “GIVEShis body unto death, CRUCIFIED WITH Christ Jesus.

Heard, received Faith, Believed, Continued Hearing, Continued Believing, Continued receiving Faith, Confessed to the Lord God, his belief, gave his Life unto death, Received his Salvation.

Once that man Receives his Salvation, will his soul EVER become “unsaved”? No.

Once a man IS SAVED, he never becomes unsaved.

Some men receive their Salvation after PHYSICAL DEATH.
Some men receive their Salvation after Crucifixion WITH Christ Jesus.

Peter denied Jesus THREE times.....I think he is Saved ....more later....golf course is calling me.....

There is a difference between Peter ending up saved vs. whether he was saved while he denied the Lord three times.
The Scriptures say if we deny Him, he will deny us. Peter had to confess or repent to be restored. Also, the Parable of the Prodigal son makes it clear that you can lose your salvation and come back to the saving of your soul.

As I mentioned before in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, when the prodigal son came home to his father seeking forgiveness with him, his father said that he was “dead” and he is “alive AGAIN.” (See: Luke 15:11-32). Meaning, the prodigal son was dead spiritually when he was living it up with prostitutes, and when he came back home to the father seeking forgiveness with his father, he was said to be alive AGAIN. Meaning, he became alive AGAIN spiritually. This same truth is taught in James 5:19-20.

Sorry. That’s just not true. You are speaking your own opinion because you offered no verses to back up your odd claims that are not in the Bible. I am going to keep showing our readers that you are not properly reading the rest of the 10 verses I put forth to you.
As I said, It is enough. We're through here.

But you confirm what a I said about you not knowing the scriptures and not recognizing them unless I give chapter and verse. And now you also confirm what I said of the prophecies from the scriptures, you saying about the scriptures: "That's just not true."

If you keep going after denying the scriptures are not even "true." That is on you. Go ahead pile it on that the smoke of wrath should reach unto the heavens.

Wrong, those who deny Jesus' gospel Mark 16:15-16, lack faith in Jesus.
The content of Jesus' gospel is not "whoever is not baptized will not be saved." (Mark 16:16(b). That is your gospel. Jesus instructed us 9 different times on how to be saved and in each occurrence baptism is omitted. (John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) We are saved through believing in Him.

If you do not believe how God has instructed us to be saved, you lack faith in Him.
Then you obviously lack faith.

I put no trust or faith in water as I have already explained.
Yes you do -- "water baptized or condemned is your gospel."

I put faith in Jesus and His word.
No you don't. You put "mental assent" belief in Jesus and in His words "as interpreted by your church."

Jesus explains confession must be made in order to be saved.
Jesus is not talking about 'lip service' confession from a check list of steps that results in salvation by works.

I believe in Jesus because I believe what He tells us.

Matthew 10:32-33,
-Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him will I confess before My Father in heaven.
-But whoever denies Me before men, him will I deny before My Father who is in heaven.
You believe what your church tells you. In context, this passage of scripture relates to the fact that the Pharisees had continuously denied Jesus while the disciples continued to speak about Him in every city they visited. We might paraphrase His teaching this way: "Whoever confesses me before men (such as you disciples), I will confess him before my Father in heaven. But whoever denies me before men (like the Pharisees), I will deny him before my Father in heaven.

Those who confess Jesus are those who recognize Him as being the true Messiah and trust in Him as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation. Those who deny Jesus (and those who give mere lip service confession) but refuse to trust in Him alone for salvation place themselves beyond any possibility of salvation, since salvation is found only in Him (John 3:15,16,18; 10:9; 14:6).

The word for "deny" is an aorist tense. This points to the fact that Jesus is not talking about a single instance of denial (as was the case with Peter, who actually denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:56-62) but is referring to life in its entirety. Hence, the person who throughout his life denies Christ (as was typically the case with the Pharisess and includes unbelievers who may even give mere "lip service confession" - Matthew 7:21-23, but lack saving faith in Christ) will be denied by Christ before the Father.

Danthemailman, do you have faith to do what Jesus commands to be saved?
Yes. I believe in Jesus Christ as the ALL-SUFFICIENT means of my salvation. (John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:39; 16:31; Romans 1:16; 3:24-28; 4:5; Ephesians 2:8 etc..).

Romans 10:9-10,
-that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
-For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I already thoroughly explained this passage of scripture to you. Confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our heart that God raised Him from the dead are not two separate steps to salvation, but are chronologically together. (Romans 10:8-10) *Don't forget to read verse 8 - But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart" (TOGETHER) that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, (notice the reverse order from verse 9-10) - that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confess/believe; believe/confess.

Danthemailman, you lack faith in Jesus for you have already told me that you do not have to make this good confession to be saved!
It's not believe unto righteousness (still lost) then confess next week at Walmart to a large crowd and finally saved next week. The word of faith was in my mouth and in my heart upon my conversion several years ago. My confession was an expression of faith and not a work for salvation. How can confession be made unto salvation according to your 4 step plan of salvation when you still need to get water baptized afterwards in order to be saved? As I said multiple times before, your false gospel is the result of bad semantics and flawed hermeneutics.

You have taught this confession that is obviously with the mouth, and must be done publicly.
So everyone who is moot (unable to speak) will remain lost according to your erroneous interpretation of Romans 10:9,10. Got it.

Is not a confession of faith in Christ that is done with the mouth publicly.
What if you are alone when you made this confession? Did you round up a group of people at Walmart when you made your confession as a work for salvation? You are confused.

You have taught me this "confession" is "our daily walk in Christ".
Are you hearing things? o_O

Danthemailman, no, Sir! IT IS A CONFESSION UNTO SALVATION!
Chronologically together with believing in our heart (and not just in our head -- understand the difference?) that God raised Him from the dead.

It is essential in oder to be saved.
1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except BY the Holy Spirit. There is divine influence or direct operation of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a person when confessing Jesus as Lord. This confession is not just a simple acknowledgment that Jesus is the Lord (even the demons believe that), but is a deep personal conviction that Jesus is that person's Lord and Savior. So simply believing in our head (and not in our heart) that God raised Him from the dead does not result in righteousness and simply giving lip service to the words "Jesus is Lord" from a check list of steps not by the Holy Spirit is not unto salvation.

It is part of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
You turn confession into an additional work for salvation. Paul did not. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Paul said the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. "apart from additions or modifications" (Romans 1:16)

You claim this confession of faith is not something that is proclaimed with the mouth.
You need to learn it is, and you cannot be saved without obeying this commandment.
Did you stand up in front of your church and give lip service to the words, "Jesus is Lord" from a check list of steps as an "additional requirement" for salvation? Was this confession unto salvation before or after water baptism? That is not what the apostle Paul had in mind in Romans 10:8-10.

John 12:42-43,
-Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Jesus, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Jesus, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;
-for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

The confession is not as you interpret as Dan. It is a literal public confession of faith in Christ.
In John 12:42, do we know the real condition of these "believing" rulers' hearts? Was it (mere mental assent belief James 2:19) or (trust and reliance saving belief John 3:16)? We do know that they loved men's praises (v. 43) more than God's (Jn. 5:44). Some may argue that the unwillingness of the chief rulers to confess Christ in this isolated situation throws doubt on the complete genuineness of their faith and others may argue that they simply have a weak moment in this isolated situation in front of the Pharisees. Does this mean they never confessed Christ at all?

The Apostle Peter at one point failed to confess Jesus before men (John 18:17-27), but after the Holy Spirit was given, he was a different man who boldly confessed Him. (Acts 4:8-13) We know that Peter was saved even though he had a weak moment and the same may be true for these chief rulers as well. Does the text specifically say that they were saved or not saved? If the chief rulers truly believed (trusted in Christ for salvation) even though they had a weak moment in this isolated situation, then they were saved (John 3:16). If their lack of confession was the result of a lack of genuine belief, then they are not saved (John 3:18). Regardless, this does not support your 4 step formula that culminates in water baptism salvation.

It would be comforting to believe I cannot loose my salvation even if I lost my faith and denied God.
But there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, in believing such tomfoolery.

Dan, listen to Jesus.
He will tell you, it is required of every one who desires salvation that they must believe in Him and His word (gospel) to be saved.
I do believe in Jesus and His gospel. You believe in a "different" gospel of "water and works" salvation.

John 12:48,
-He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
Why do you reject His words? (John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26)

Now learn of the example given of public confession of faith in Christ that is unto salvation.
Acts 8:37,
-Then Philip said, If you believe with all your heart you may.
And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
The word of faith was in my mouth and in my heart upon my conversion. You are preaching to the choir son. You turn everything into a work for salvation.

The Ethiopian Eunch made that good confession with his mouth publicly before his preacher Philip.
This confession is must certainly a prerequisite to salvation. Just as repentance and immersion in water.
So instead of confessing that Jesus is Lord BY the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3) you turn confession into a work for salvation AFTER we believe the gospel. Got it.

You lack faith in Jesus. You do not believe you must do as He commands to be saved.
I'm not the one who turns believing the gospel into a 4 step check list of works salvation. I have done as Jesus commands to be saved and just not according to your biased church doctrine.

1John 4:15,
-whoever confesses that Jesus Christ os the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
I confessed Jesus Christ as the Son of God upon my conversion and continue to confess Him. And? What's the problem?

1Timothy 6:12,
-Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Over the years I have confessed the good confession to many witnesses as well. So how many witnesses is enough in order to satisfy step 3 in your 4 step plan of salvation "confession is made unto salvation" - whoops! Still need to get water baptized afterwards in order to become saved, right? Notice how your 4 step plan of salvation that culminates in salvation by water baptism is in contradiction to Romans 10:8-10 and is also in contradiction to multiple passages of scripture that make it clear we are saved through belief/faith "apart from additions or modifications." (Luke 7:50; 8:12; John 1:12; 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26; 20:31; Acts 10:43; 11:17; 13:39; 15:8,9; 16:31; Romans 1:16; 3:24-28; 4:5-6; 5:1; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9; 2 Timothy 3:15; 1 John 5:13 etc..).

The true believers of Jesus Christ believe what He says will save us!
Not a false doctrine of do nothing disobedience, just believe and be saved.
Believe and be saved means that Christ saves us through believing in Him based on the merits of His finished work of redemption alone and not based on the merits of our works. Perverting the gospel and teaching salvation by works is not obedience. You clearly trust in your works for salvation and not in Jesus Christ alone.

Danthemailman, answer my question please,
Peter did not have a "weak moment" in his faith as you claim.
The scriptures teach HIS HEART WAS HARDENED TO THE POINT OF NO FAITH!
Mark 16:14,
-Later Jesus appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table: and Jesus rebuked their unbelief and HARDNESS OF HEART, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
Peter had a temporary weak moment when he denied Christ 3 times and Peter also had a temporary weak moment when he temporarily did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. That's not the same as saying that Peter no longer believed in Christ and permanently turned his back on Him. Peter went on to preach the gospel and continued in the faith.

Now heres my question:
Peter and the eleven hardened their hearts to unbelief. So much so that they would not even believe the eye witnesses that told them they saw Jesus resurrected!
Temporary, weak moment. In Matthew 16:15, Jesus Christ asked His disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Now Peter had no clue that Jesus Christ would be crucified and resurrected. He only believed that Jesus was the Messiah. This is obvious when, only moments later, Peter rebukes Jesus Christ for saying he will be killed, and be raised again the third day" (Matthew 16:21). In verse 22, "..Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"

Before his death, Jesus told the twelve that he had to die and that he would rise on the third day. However, it is unquestionable that the disciples were ignorant of its meaning. "Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem,…And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. – Luke 18:31-34.

After his crucifixion, instead of anxiously awaiting His resurrection, the apostles were still ignorant, disheartened at the death of their redeemer, and did not even at first believe the testimony of his resurrection (Mark 16:14, Luke 24:19-24) but that quickly changed.

Dan, if Peter had died before his faith in Jesus returned to him.
Would he have been saved in unbelief?
It's one thing to not believe eye witnesses who claimed to have seen the Lord after His resurrection and it's yet another thing for Peter to go back and completely reject Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16; John 20:31) His faith in Jesus was not gone and his salvation was not in jeopardy. Since you teach salvation by works and mental assent belief in Jesus, I don't expect you to understand this.

Don't try and claim Peter had not lost his faith in Christ. Lest you expose yourself for not believing the scriptures.
Where do the scriptures say that Peter no longer believes Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God? Peter temporarily did not believe eye witnesses who saw Jesus. That's not the same as, "he who does not believe is condemned already.." (John 3:18) Peter still believed in Christ unto salvation and went on to boldly preach the gospel at Pentecost and beyond. Saving faith in Christ is not a revolving door.

Just about every sin is a “ willful” one....a person knows in his head and in his heart when he is about to do something wrong... and he does it anyway....

You ever exceed the speed limit knowingly and keep on doing it willfully because you are in a hurry and you put your selfish desires to get where you want to go above the law? That’s willful sinning, isn’t it?

The confusion about “ willful sins” comes from an ignorance of what Hebrews10 is talking about....people take it out of context .....you gotta read the Nine chapters before it....the “ willful” sin being discussed, and NOTHING else , is the damnable mistake of returning to the Temple to offer up the Blood Of animals to get one’s sins forgiven as opposed to putting your Faith in the Blood Of Christ in Oder to be Cleansed....It’s a warning to the Jews of that day to realize that this side of the Cross —- other than the Blood Of Jesus—there * IS* no other sacrifice for sin....

Text without Context is Error..... properly taught, a five year old could figure out what the “ willful sin” is......some of our “ stiff- Necked” friends in here continue to never understand it or admit that they are wrong....
In regards to Hebrews 10:26, to "sin willfully" carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is continuous action, a matter of practice. Now we don't walk along our daily life and "accidentally" fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a ongoing, willful, continuous action. *The unrighteous practice sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21); not the righteous, who are born of God. (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9)

is your gospel
Wrong, I have no gospel other than Jesus' gospel. Mark 16:15-16.

Now, Danthemailman's version of the gospel,
-Mark 16:15-16,
- he who believes and is not baptized will be saved;
But he who does not believe will be condemned.

That is your gospel.
You will answer for your lack of faith.

The latter verse says,
-he who does not believe will be condemned.

It does not say,
-he who does not believe and is not baptized will be condemned,
Because that is a redundancy.
No amount of water is going to be of any benefit if one does not believe.
Faith must be the motivating factor that causes you to obey the commandment to be water immersed.

I see you and Eternally Grateful do not agree on the baptism in Mark 16:16.
You believe it is water.
Eternally Grateful believes it is Holy Spirit.
You are correct! Baptizo= water immersion

Why do you not correct your friend Eternally Grateful?
Why do you give him likes when he teaches error?
Seems to me you only care about one issue.
If I believe in faith onlyism, you will ignore error.

That is your gospel.
Everything else Jesus taught is of no consequence to you regarding ones salvation.

Peter was not saved when he denied the Lord Jesus.
At the very least he was backslidden; interesting to remember also that the event was before Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came to indwell His people permanently; so Peter at the time did not fully have the same resource as the believers did after Pentecost.

The Holy Spirit revealed to Peter who Jesus was earlier.....His eyes were opened...
He confessed with his mouth that Jesus was not just a man....Peter confessed that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son Of The Living God....that was enough.....I believe that he was Saved...

You are pointing out Reminders given to a Believer, of what they must do, to receive Salvation AFTER they bodily Die.

The Believing man, continues, Believing (to the day of his bodily death) by his own Willpower.

You pointed out encouragement, and result, IF a man continues, by his own Willpower to Believe, to the end of his bodily life.

There are also Scriptural Warnings, FOR a Believing man.
The Warnings are a Reminder of Evil spirits and Wicked men OF this World: WHO are greater than and outnumber a Believing man.

The Warnings are a Believing man, will regularly be in the presence of
Wicked men, Evil spirits...WHOSE intent IS to trick and deceive the Believing man.......TO DOUBT his belief in God...TO STOP BELIEVING.

The Warning rests on “power”.
Evil spirits ARE more “powerful”, than A man.
Wicked men CAN be, and in many cases ARE more “powerful”, than A man.

*Evil spirits...ARE demonic angels/spirits...Spirits are always more powerful than a bodily man.
* Wicked men...ARE any man, who holds some measure of power OVER you, AND encourage you, to doubt or deflect from Believing.

~ A parent, teacher, govt official, a news outlet, a blogger...that in any way, shape, or form....direct speech Against God, implication, their own doubts, their own unbelief, etc. intended to weaken a believers OWN willpower to doubt, to sway to their unbelief, to trust their words, over trusting Gods words.

~A Believer acting under his own “willpower”, CAN easily be swayed to a parent, teacher, govt official, caregiver, doctor, etc. Beliefs, Unbeliefs... BECAUSE there is an “instant” reward...
~ parent approves, lets the child have or do something he wants.
~ teachers approves, gives kudos, good grades, recommendations.
~ gov’t approves, gives freebies, forgives charges, etc.
~ news outlets approves, gives favorable air or ink space.

~A Believer......WHO.......is ALSO “CONVERTED IN Christ”;
No Longer is “UNDER his OWN Willpower”.
No Longer is “HOPING” his Willpower KEEPS him Believing, to the day of his bodily death, so he “will receive” his Salvation.

~A Believer.....WHO.....is ALSO “CONVERTED IN CHRIST”;
IS “UNDER the POWER of God”.
The POWER of God, IS IN that person.

Converted...MADE changed...by, through, of Gods POWER.
IN..............Gods Power
Gods Power....IN.....that person.

Gods Power is Identified...IS Christ.
(1 Cor 1: 24)

Gods Power is Greater than ANYTHING in this world.
(1 John 4:4)

All the hope, continuing, warnings, DO APPLY to a Believing man.
All the hope, continuing, warnings, DO NOT APPLY to a Converted man.

The DIFFERENCE in determining WHAT does and does NOT APPLY...

Gods Spirit is WITH a believing man.
A Believing man is WITH Gods Spirit.

Gods Spirit is WITH-IN a converted man.
A Converted man is WITH-IN Gods Spirit.

WITH and WITH-IN are completely different things.

When you are engaged in conversation with A CONVERTED MAN, and quote a Scripture that APPLIES to an UN-converted man, AS IF, that Scripture APPLIES to the Converted man...
The Converted man, will and should DISAGREE with you.
That Converted man, IS NOT disagreeing with Scripture, HE IS, disagreeing with you IMPLYING it applies to him, WHEN it does NOT APPLY to him.

I am “Converted IN Christ Jesus”.
All of your Scriptural Quotes in this post, DOES NOT APPLY to me.
Those Scriptural Quotes are NOT ONE THING, “I must do”.
BECAUSE, the Fact is, THOSE are THINGS “CHRIST” does FOR me.

Get it?

Glory to God,
Taken

“ Willpower does not Save...Paul warns in Scripture about “ Will Worship” ......Most “religions
rely on will power, but Christianity is not a religion.....We should leave will- power and self- discipline to the Buddhists, the Religionists , and the “ Fallen From Grace” so- called “ Believers”..

I just don't believe that resting in the gospel means resting in sin like you do

That is a lie....
And if by now , you do not KNOW that is a Lie, you are Stupid....

How many times over the months have I told you that I hate sin, and when I * DO* sin , it has the same appeal as sticking my hand in a fire....I am such a “Rabid Sinner” , I can’t even kill a bug without feeling bad about it....how do you think I react to way more serious stuff in life..

What you will never understand is that just because I actually BELIEVE that Christ paid the price for “ALL” of my sins and therefore there is NO Sin left to condemn me —— THAT is the impetus for “ Right- Living”.....Knowing that I can do what I “ want” makes me NOT “ want” to do sinful things....If you “Want” to do something Sinful —— you are as Guilty as the one that goes ahead and does it ....The Power Of Christianity is NOT God you giving you more “ Will- Power”.....it’s God changing your “ Wants” so that they line up with His.....God will only change your Wants and desires if you Trust Him to do so....I did that ....I am STILL doing that ....I am still a rotten sinner that needs plenty of Grace - just like you—- but looking at things in a Milk - Fed viewpoint such as years, I am not NEAR the Sinner That I used to be..

Please shut up about me being the scum of the earth — Sinning up a storm because I derive some kind of sick pleasure from it....doing sinful things because I think that I can “ sin and get away with it”....Nobody “ gets away” with Anything...you ever hear about God’s Chastisement? You think that I want that? I rest in the Finished Work Of The Cross and because I do THAT , God Works His Goodness THROUGH me and I don’t even have to try....I do more things that truly please God By accident than you Grace - Rejectors do on purpose......Naturally and effortlessly....You will never get it....You prove it in here daily......you and your False Gospel ....

It would be comforting to believe I cannot loose my salvation even if I lost my faith and denied God. But there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, in believing such tomfoolery.

At the early stages of my studying God’s Word: I was hoodwinked into believing OSAS for like an hour or two by a church down the street, but when I went home to look up the topic some more with the Bible, I knew it was clearly false. Since that time, my discussion of that topic on online forums over the years, I found more verses and not less for Conditional Salvation. It was definitely not hard to figure out that OSAS is false by simply reading the Bible plainly.

Here is a testimony of a woman named Catherine involving OSAS:

Hypocritical Christianity
Was All I Knew

Catherine

I grew up in an once saved always saved (OSAS) home. Lukewarm, worldly, hypocritical Christianity was all I knew. When I wanted more of "real Christianity," my Mom called me "legalistic" and other not so nice names. I found it impossible to have deep, spiritual conversations with her. When I pointed out to my Dad that my brother was living in drunkenness and fornication (pornography) like the world, my Dad said that I "didn't understand true grace" like my brother. (Almost a decade later, my brother finally became saved and acknowledged-- to my parents' surprise-- that he wasn't saved like they thought as a kid.)

At age __, right after I was determined to "live for God" as His disciple, a fellow "missionary" and "Christian" brother date raped me. I didn't know what to do. (I always wanted to be with only one man my entire life), so I gave into his request for more sex the next three days, making me a fornicator. (I thought that I had to "submit" to him, since he was now "my headcovering". I hated the sex, but didn't think I was allowed to say "no" as a "loving" wife would always do what her husband wants"--according to all those Christian self-help books.) When I came to my senses and realized what had really happened-- I had been deceived like Eve-- I began two years of crying non-stop. Literally. It became like a full-time job.

In between crying bouts, I began to ask God "Why?" and "What was going on?" I was very, very confused. When I challenged this man over our sin, his response was "There are no consequences. Grace covers it." At first, I believed him. Why would he lie to me? He was a Christian, in love with God, right?... However, over time, it became apparent that he was a liar, a swindler, and a "murderer" in his heart.

As I pressed further, it became apparent that we believed in two different gospels. Though he called Jesus his "Lord," it was obviously lip service. He was still living for himself. He told me that I was going to hell for believing a works gospel. He also told me that he would "trample all over me," if he could, especially if he married me. Knowing I only wanted to be with one person my entire life did not deter him from taking my virginity and then trying to boot me away from him when I was no longer willing to have sex anymore with him. I remembered the verses in Scripture about "trampling on Jesus' blood" and wondered if he treated Jesus' body (me, a fellow believer) this way, could he be saved?

I got into the Bible and started looking for answers. I was very scared that maybe I was not going to inherit the kingdom because I was a fornicator. I read many opinions. I was very confused. Things did not make sense. Most "teachers" with PhDs from seminary contradicted themselves. During this time, at one Sunday School class, the teacher made us very confused about salvation. At the end, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Now that I have thoroughly confused you, you are dismissed!" (Yes, his exact words!) I was indignant, but no one seemed to notice how strange it was that man with a PhD didn't know what the Bible said about salvation. That made me realize that something wasn't right with this version of Christianity, even though my parents told me my entire life that we were "right" and everyone else was "wrong."

I taught myself Greek as I read the New Testament interlinear Bible, and also I learned Hebrew from friends. (God had told me not to go to seminary when I had graduated from college, though I didn't understand why at the time.) God slowly but surely brought the puzzle pieces together. I understand now how these "false gospels" came about, and what the true gospel is.

And I am living it out. No more depression or suicidal thoughts. My heart is pure. I don't crave things of the flesh or things of the world-- not only is sin not an issue, but selfishness has also been defeated. It's all about God.

After considering the implications of different "frameworks" for reading the Bible, I am convinced OSAS is a doctrine of demons. I have read The Believer’s Conditional Security, and agree with it. The Bible does not make sense any other way. I have looked at different interpretations, and all of them fall short except conditional security. The framework we believe will influence how we live and what we do. That's why it's important to have the proper framework. In the past, when I believed in OSAS, I would skip over any verses in the Bible that didn't make sense to me. I understand God better-- His unchanging character, His personality, His values, His love. Things make sense now. No more confusion!

How I wish that I knew this as a kid. It would have saved me much heartache and pain! I could have spent 20 plus years living for God, not wasted on selfish pursuits. How much time I lost! I regret it! Moreover, the sins I sowed have reaped mental illness, heartache, and pain which I could have spared myself if someone had shown me the power in the Cross for overcoming sin, self, and Satan. I am still healing, and perhaps may not be completely healed until I die-- how I long for that day to come!

eAnd we're not talking about the absence of a struggle with a besetting sin. We're talking about a change of mind, a change of nature. One that has resulted in the desire for and the pursuit of righteous living.

All that stuff? I got it. In spades.

Just because I happen to believe that Jesus really * DID” die for my Sins and therefore I can not be Damned for any reason.....that does not give me the desire to go out and Sin up a Storm ....it’s just the opposite.....getting that Performance burden off of my shoulders results in a gratitude and the True Love for God that is at the Root of anything that pleases God....

As long as your “god” is that constantly displeased and demanding “ Mean Old Man in the Sky” , eager to cast you into Hell as soon as you die with an unrepentant sin on your record.....you ain't ever gonna Obey God , much less KNOW Him....LOVE is the Engine that Drives Obedience...use any other “ engine” and you are just spinning your wheels....more or less just doing “Dead Works”......
