Christians are not Pagans.....Dude
Do not call me Dude, Dude !

Any road, Dude. Most christians are Pagans in fact, like i said, one has to truly be born again, to be worthy to Christ Jesus in fact !

The World before the Fall, Dude. is about the correction ? This happend when Jesus came. Jesus came to Save us from that State in fact !
Jesus said That you must be born again ! see that Dude ! Religion does not cut it ! and it never did.
No Religion Saves. Only Christ Jesus Saves in fact !

Christians to not withdraw, they advance ! for the Kingdom of God !

You may go look into the Bible and you will find a list of people who can not enter, in to the Kingdom of God ! the reason why such can not enter is simple, for they are not worthy of Christ Jesus in fact. for they do not abide in fact. for they say X, Y, Z but they do not truly know him, nor do they abide in fact, nor do they claim to abide in him.
For They think that it's a done deal !

Fact of the matter is nothing is a done deal ! only the Devil does Deals in fact !
Like yo Dawg i cut a Deal with God ? o_O
Like Jesus cuts deals ? Never ! You abide or you don't in fact !
Did Jesus cut a Deal with the Devil ? No ! Jesus just exposed the idiot who was trying to do a Deal with Jesus. Jesus means Salvation !
So how can anyone cut a deal with Salvation it's Self ! Jesus said, Be gone. and the poor Devil, well he just lost another customer.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-9
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

We see that Paul, in his second letter to the Thessalonians, foretold the great apostasy which would result in the establishment of AntiChrist power. He declared that before the return of Christ would, "come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who exalteth himself above all that is called God;" Even at that early date he saw, creeping into the church, errors in belief that would prepare the way for the false teachings to come in, and history confirmed how it happen.

Little by little, and then more openly as it increased in strength and gained control of believers, paganism and idol worship came into the church. Almost imperceptibly the traditions and customs of Pagan Rome found their way into the Christian church from the former center of the Empire and spread. It had been held back by the persecutions by the Roman Emperors, but as persecution ceased, and Christianity was accepted, the true church began to lay aside its humble beginnings and truth of Christ, for the rites, sacraments and pomp of ancient Rome and the practices of pagan priests and ancient heathen worship with its Babylonian/Greek/Roman gods inscribed with Christians names.

It crept in, then really gained momentum with Emperor Constantine, who tried to politically not to leave out or alienate those who practiced paganism after he claim to convert to Christianity. He declared the Bishop of Rome as the enforcer of truth and forced the merger of paganism into the church, and the heathen religion now cloaked with a 'christianized' cover, walked into the church. Paganism, while outwardly looking to like it was overcome by the church, became the one that vanquished. Pagan doctrines, ceremonies, and superstitions were incorporated into the faith and worship of the professed followers of Christ.

This compromise between paganism and Christianity resulted in the development of "the man of sin" foretold in prophecy as opposing and exalting himself above God. In the early church, the bishop of Rome, along with Alexandria and Antioch, was regarded as a Patriarchate, or an autonomous diocese. To this group was added the patriachates of Constantinople and Jerusalem in the fifth century. This group of five was regarded as leading the church as a whole. However, gaining political influence and claiming "historical events" saying the tradition that Peter and Paul had been martyred in Rome, the Bishop of Rome made himself first among equals. To secure worldly gains and honors, the church was led to seek the favor and support of the great men of earth; the church was forced to yield allegiance to the the bishop of Rome.

Many of the ancient people worshiped the sun and other pagan gods as they thought that their sun gods and fertility goddesses died at the winter solstice and regained life again at the spring equinox. Note what it says in Judges..
Judges 2:13
And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

But history shows that Baal worship is sun worship, and Ashtoreth/Ishtar/Astarte is the queen of heaven. This is why there are so many sunburst images in Catholicism and why Mary is called the 'Queen of Heaven', the church at Rome incorporated them slowly in. It is the apostasy of idol worship of Baal and Ashtaroth that had started to come into the church.

History shows that long before Mary, pagans fashioned Madonna and child icons and placed them in sacred shrines. Many believe that with the rise of Christianity and papal power, the Goddess would slowly disappear from western culture and fade away. But they didnt, the names and the images of the Madonna and child have changed, and spread. For many pagan 'converts', the blending of their ancient goddesses with the Virgin Mary was a major part of what allowed them to keep their pagan gods but get in the church.

The Bible would have quickly shown they had turned away into false beliefs so its truths had to be concealed and suppressed. For hundreds of years the circulation of the Bible was prohibited by the papacy. The people were forbidden to read it or to have it in their houses, and the Bible having been removed, the papacy moved quickly. To afford converts from heathenism a substitute for the worship of idols, and thus to promote their nominal acceptance of Christianity, the adoration of images and relics was gradually introduced into the Christian worship. To hide what they had done, Rome presumed to expunge from the law of God the second commandment in their writings, forbidding image worship, and to divide the tenth commandment, in order to preserve the number.

Then they went after the fourth commandment also, and essayed to set aside the Sabbath, and put in the festival day observed by the heathen as "the venerable day of the sun." With great subtlety the papacy worked to bring about this change. That the attention of the people might be called to the Sunday, it was made a festival in honor of the resurrection of Christ. Religious services were held upon it; yet it was regarded as a day of recreation, the Sabbath being still sacredly observed.

In the early part of the fourth century the emperor Constantine as part his merging of paganism with the church had issued a decree making Sunday a public festival throughout the Roman Empire. It was the emperor's policy to unite the conflicting interests of heathenism and Christianity, and he was urged to do this by the bishops of the church, who perceived that if the same day was observed by both Christians and heathen, it would promote the nominal acceptance of Christianity by pagans and thus advance the power and glory of the church. Thus the minds of the people were turned away from God to fallible, corruptible men who claimed to lead the church, and the Pope who came to regard himself as supreme, with the elevation of false laws and corrupt traditions that always results from setting aside the law of God.

We must read the Bible and cleanse ourselves from any of the paganism and false worship especially the pagan festivals or "Holy Days" that have been spread into many churches beliefs. The Protestant churches that split from and began the Reformation because they saw the truth and fought so hard against the pagan Papal Roman church are now falling one by one to even worse beliefs in secularism and paganism. Slowly but surely they are giving up the true beliefs that were their foundation untlil they become nothing but secular social clubs with pagan traditions and festivals.

I hear your concerns and understand the depth of your convictions. But I must gently suggest that this perspective oversimplifies a complex historical narrative.

The evolution of Christian practices and beliefs over centuries was not a simple matter of corruption, but rather a gradual process of cultural synthesis and adaptation. Our faith has always engaged with the world around it, seeking to bring light to all corners of human experience.

While it's true that some pagan elements were incorporated into Christian tradition, this was often done with the intention of making the gospel more accessible to diverse populations. It's a testament to the universality of our faith that it could speak to people from various cultural backgrounds.

The human mind naturally seeks continuity and familiarity. As people transitioned from older belief systems to Christianity, some cultural practices were reinterpreted through a Christian lens. This doesn't necessarily indicate a corruption of truth, but rather a bridge of understanding.

Let us not forget that our faith is living and dynamic. It has the capacity to grow and adapt while maintaining its core truths. The Holy Spirit continues to guide the Church, helping us discern truth from error.

I encourage you to approach these historical questions with an open heart and mind. Seek to understand the context and motivations behind historical developments. And above all, remember that our unity in Christ transcends historical debates. Let us focus on living out the gospel message of love, compassion, and service to others.

Correct, but the teaching of the immortality of a soul, the pre-existence of Christ and the Substitutionary sacrifice all contributed to the start of falling away of Christianity into paganism.

What it means it the method of atonement has been lost for now.

I could list many more if you wish - there are a lot!

Isaiah 26:19
Easy-to-Read Version
19 But the Lord says,
“Your people have died,
but they will live again.
The bodies of my people
will rise from death.
Dead people in the ground,
stand and be happy!
The dew covering you is like
the dew sparkling in the light of a new day.

It shows that a new time is coming,
when the earth will give birth to the dead who are in it.”

Covers both the resurrection and people in the grave being awake.

God will be the judge of what is pagan and who is worshipping a pagan god.

- In AD150 they left full immersion and took up sprinkling

True or false?
Ezekiel 36:25
Then I will sprinkle pure water on you and make you pure. I will wash away all your filth, the filth from those nasty idols, and I will make you pure.

They did not give up full immersion, they just gave the option of sprinkling for different reasons. And later infant baptism….then in the 16th century the Protestants made the Pagan custom of wedding ceremonies mandatory to be married….put that in your pipe and smoke it.

What you bind on earth will bound in Heaven.
And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19) in living water. But if you have not living water, baptize into other water; and if you can not in cold, in warm. But if you have not either, pour out water thrice upon the head into the name of Father and Son and Holy Spirit. But before the baptism let the baptizer fast, and the baptized, and whatever others can; but you shall order the baptized to fast one or two days before.

I think it is God's Baptism of the righteous. And, could relate to NT Baptism.
If you would like me to show you many other teachings in the RCC which are Law Based let me know. It's a large study but an interesting one.

Ug I wrote a lengthy blog post on this basic silly topic years ago.

Introduction
In the last decade, Christmas, has come under attack. Most westerners are used to have such attacks coming from atheists, Muslims, and liberals, but what is truly, interesting is when CHRISTIANS object to Christmas displays. One of the anti-Christmas movements gaining some traction is the notion among certain Christian fundamentalists is that Christmas is a pagan corruption, and the Christmas tree itself is a form of pagan idolatry.
There are some grains of truth to this claim, but in this series, I will be putting forth some reasons why I believe the Crusade Against Christmas and Christmas trees is itself is a dangerous movement that has a few heretical implications for Christianity. Furthermore, in spite of whatever the origins of decorative trees, Christmas has been a way that Christians have celebrated some of the important truths of their faith for at least 1700 years (roughly speaking).

My Presentation of the case against the Christmas tree comes from a former Facebook Associate. He is a nondenominational Charismatic who claims to be a prophet. I will refer to him with the pseudo name, “Brother X”.

Brother X's Case against the Christmas tree in a Nutshell
1) Brother X, correctly notes the Early Church “used the Old Testament as its Bible” (Because the NT was still being written in the 1st century, and took a couple of centuries for copies to be made by hand to become widely available).
2) He then References Old Testament verses regarding Idolatry. Not only were the Jews of the OT not practice idolatry but they were supposed to avoid having a knowledge of it. They were to remove all traces of it from their land, avoid saying the names of pagan gods etc.
3) The Christmas tree is a practice that descends from paganism. (Not the exact custom, but pagans from various regions from Egypt, Rome, and Germany did decorate their homes during the winter months with greenery, like tree branches, vines, mistletoe etc. )

4) Brother X then references Jeremiah 10:3-4. Brother X “Doesn’t this sound like a Christmas tree?”
Jeremiah 10:3-4
“For the customs of the peoples are delusion; Because it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. 4"They decorate it with silver and with gold; They fasten it with nails and with hammers So that it will not totter.”
5) Brother X notes Old Testament passages regarding contamination (i.e. leprosy, mold, other disease) says this is a prevalent theme in the Pentateuch because “of the spiritual implications from contamination”. People can be corrupted by coming into contact with things that are impure, corrupt and evil.
6) Therefore, according to Brother X, all Christians should stay away from all customs and practices that descend from paganism, even Christmas trees... L
PS – or point 7) Brother X, believes the reluctance of other Christians to see things the way he does is a result of “Their conscience being seared” (1 Timothy 4:2) and is further proof of their idolatry!

My Rebuttal point 1) Brother X view is contradicted by Jesus and the NT.
Mark 7:17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

Our corruption is not a result of being exposed to things the Mosaic Law forbids but the sins we actually practice. I guarantee that 99.999% of people buy and decorate a Christmas tree not to worship it, or to celebrate pagan gods but because they think it is pretty and want to make their home a bit more festive and bright for the holidays. (This is especially true because the person most responsible for Christmas trees in our homes today is Martin Luther!)

Martin Luther's influence on Christmas traditions and atmospheric Christmas Markets - The Christian Index

Point 2) Bishop Elect Stan Smith reaction
My BFF is too busy to be blogging these days, but figured I would give his reaction which is very apt and on target. He cites: Colossians 2:21-23New International Version (NIV)
21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.
“This is a way of being special without having to actually do anything, Like help someone.”
(This is actually jumping the gun a bit, but he actually is on to something here. One of my later points, I was going to make Brother X seem to be on the road to becoming a cult leader. He never seems to be able to be at a church for any length of time. He seems driven to nitpick and fault find with everyone around him. He has his own little group that he is happy with, but he pretty much sets the rules and expels anybody that contradicts him).

Christians and non-Christians celebrate and refrain from celebrating Christmas for a variety of reasons. For many it is a stressful time. With that in mind, I offer this:

No true follower partakes of a holiday with additives off the table of demons-1 Cor 10:21--only the false religions allow it. God assures all if one partakes of things off the table of demons they CANNOT partake off of his table. The false religions are misleading their flocks into trying to do both, like this-2Cor 11:12-15

What if it is kept secular? In other words, the religious holiday is to mark, observe, and celebrate the incarnation of the second person of the Trinity. If that is jettisoned, and the holiday is about children, family, food, gifts - you’re opposed to those things happening on that day?

Yes satan made it look good like this-2Cor 11:12-15--Same with Easter the false God served for the Chaldean rites of spring festival( bunny rabbits and the dyed eggs of Pasch) was named Astarte( last t is silent) on the Assyrian monuments named Ishtar( pronounce eastar)--Catholicism named that holiday directly after the false god involved again-satan transforming into an angel of light getting ones to partake off the table of demons. The blind guides allow it.
All branches off Catholicism= all trinity religions) do not belong to Jesus--this is a guaranteed fact.

Do you like irony?

”How did the first settlers celebrate Christmas? They didn’t. The Pilgrims who came to America in 1620 were strict Puritans, with firm views on religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter. … Puritans were particularly contemptuous of Christmas, nicknaming it ‘Foolstide’ and banning their flock from any celebration of it throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. …”

The Puritans were trinitarians.
