No born-again Christian that "understands the trinity" rejects it as an invalid doctrine....only those in denial reject it because they DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT. I understand people have difficulties explaining it but they accept it as a heart matter inspired by the Holy Spirit according to the teachings of Jesus , the apostles and NT writers....not using the word but living it in faith because we do not believe those terms that He said are contradictiory - otherwise Jesus and the Father would not be able to use the term "Holy" for either one. There is a difference between not understanding and not agreeing. I understand the trinity and I reject it as a valid doctrine derived from:
Tri-une born-again Christians...use it to describe the impossible and the incomprehensible. Until you have a heart-change though the power of the Holy Spirit you will never be able to understand the trinity.I add it for emphasis.
There is no rapture of "the church" and "tribulations saints" prior to the "last day at the end of the world" when all who are dead (believers and unbelievers) will be raised first and then those who are alive will be changed in a twinkling of an eye. The unbelivers go to hell, the believers rise to heaven to be with the Lord for eternity. (1 Thess 4:13)Since we know that Resurrection/Rapture, as well as the resurrection of the Tribulation saints, occur over 1,000 years before the Great White Throne Judgment, and the "last day" includes all three events, it cannot possibly be a 24 hour day. It is simply a metaphor for this period of time.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit - a revealed mystery - are overwhelmingly present in Scripture.Tri-une born-again Christians...use it to describe the impossible and the incomprehensible. Until you have a heart-change though the power of the Holy Spirit you will never be able to understand the trinity.
A lot of people hold to this fallacy. We will agree to disagree. But it is not a literal 1,000 years.
This is exactly how the serpent fooled Eve; only quoting a portion of what scripture really says in 1 Cor 8:6 which the context is about idols and "many gods" vs the Christian belief of "one God, the Father." It is deception in the sense that it ignores other scripture that DOES indicate a triune Godhead. One God, the Father. For the purpose of this thread, that is the important part of 1 Cor 8:6.
I always get a chuckle when people use this term because it really says that "I will hold onto my false beliefs....just because it's mine and I don't want to listen."We will agree to disagree.
Cute!I always get a chuckle when people use this term because it really says that "I will hold onto my false beliefs....just because it's mine and I don't want to listen."
I don't think @Wrangler wants to understand it.Tri-une born-again Christians...use it to describe the impossible and the incomprehensible. Until you have a heart-change though the power of the Holy Spirit you will never be able to understand the trinity.
It would be nice if you could explain why you believe yourself to be a Christian, since to do so requires you to believe Jesus is God.One logical fallacy after another ... It's not the word. You are adding 'the word' to weaken the argument. Some claim the trinity is the central message of the Bible. It's so important that in 66 books, it is not mentioned once - not the word and not the doctrine.
To this, trinitarians offer another Strawman, to offer verses that do not explicitly state the doctrine of the trinity. Something like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the F, S & HS who are co-equal, co-substantial and co-eternal - and if you do not accept this, you cannot be saved but will be damned to hell forever.
It would be nice if you could simply admit the trinity is not in the Bible. Can you admit this?

Ah.My existence as a Christ follower proves you wrong. Once does not have to believe Aristotle is God, or any man to be a God in order to follow that man.
Ah.
So you do not pray or worship Jesus.
OK
Are you depending on Him for your salvation?
Uh, it's more like..."Your IRrationalizations invoke illogical fallacies." Look it up.Exactly. Your 'rationalizations' are opposite of logic as they invoke logical fallacies. Look it up.
So you are claiming to be God now???Scripture says God new us before we were born, before the foundations of the Earth were laid. How is this possible if we are not God?
What Bible did you get that "ridiculous revision" from? One example is John 3:16. ‘God, in his unitarian nature, so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.’ God in his fullness, wholeness, completeness. That is what ‘God’ means in such verses.
Oh, the old serpent is at it again I see.It would be nice if you could simply admit the trinity is not in the Bible. Can you admit this?
Who on here ever said "Aristotle is God?"One does not have to believe Aristotle is God,
Serpent talk again?or any man to be a God in order to follow that man.
