Peter and Paul thought that, if memory serves. To put it simply, if you follow Scripture, yes.
Wives are to submit to husbands.
Women are not to have authority over men in the church.
Women are to remain quiet in the church (yes that means women pastors is wholly against Scripture).
Several here liked my comment.Agreed but that is not the focus of the thread.
Correct!!! My brother was someone who thought his wife was on board this and for a while she was. Then she started hanging around feminists and became one….she recently moved out and filed for divorce.Feminists hate this truth and have worked hard over the decades to abolish such order. Now its about equality which means whenever there is a disagreement couples break up
Doesn't change the fact it is not the focus of the thread.Several here liked my comment.
God made them male and female, and ordained marriage that the two become one flesh, in order to provide the closest possible example we could see of our relationship with Jesus the Son of God.Do you have any idea why God wrote so extensively about divorce and remarriage? Because there is a much bigger spiritual picture significant hidden within it, but really is in plain view..
Amen!!This is because you are not reading scriptures as frequently and completely as you should:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The judges in the gates were the city's judges. You could think of them as the lower court, and Deborah as the supreme court.Have you ever noticed this women was judging the people contrary to the Law?
Deuteronomy 16:18 King James Version
18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
Judges 4
4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, judged Israel at that time.
5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in Mount Ephraim, and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
She judged the people outside the city gates in the hill country of Ephraim under her palm tree. Why were the people not following the commands of the LORD?
The people were not following the LORD, they were doing their own things, often whatever felt right to them. God would give over time and again to evil rulers and terrible things, because they did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD. The judges such as Deborah and all the others were a kind of deliverer, but they were not of the Prophets, did not write scripture and were of course as fallible as the rest of the people, Samson is an example of this too. It was only God being merciful that they were not all of them destroyed. Deborah was as the others, she should not have been judging outside of the city gates, but she did it as the people were not following the LORD and wanted her to judge. I am sticking with it, as we all know how evil the times were of the judges. Now the other male judges often led armies of the Israelites to destroy their oppressors, the ones the LORD had sold them to, but Deborah being a women could not do so, so she called out for Barak and it was Barak who led the troops into the battle. The judges in the gates were the city's judges. You could think of them as the lower court, and Deborah as the supreme court.
Much love!

All the prophets are men?If you noticed, all kings and judges in the Old Testament were men, and Deborah was an exception. Just as all the prophets are men and again Deborah was the exception.
THE EXCEPTION IS NOT THE RULE!
and interestingly, the relationship between The Father and SonGod made them male and female, and ordained marriage that the two become one flesh, in order to provide the closest possible example we could see of our relationship with Jesus the Son of God.

Where would I find Scripture speaking of that?and interestingly, the relationship between The Father and Son
John 1:18Where would I find Scripture speaking of that?

John 1:18
Consider the expression, 'the bosom of the Father'.John 1:18 KJV
18) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
I don't see the connection, could you elaborate?
Much love!
OK, I understand how you arrive at that. I don't see it myself, but I see how you do.Consider the expression, 'the bosom of the Father'.
The creation of humans mirrored an aspect of the Godhead......like, let us make man in our image
Male and female are a single unit in that image.
We also see the angels do not have the ability to procreate.
God's declaration of a creation in their own image stands apart from other creations.
how do you see it?OK, I understand how you arrive at that. I don't see it myself, but I see how you do.
