Yeah I know the whole thing is a mess. Folks don't know the difference between soul and spirit or that the new man has nothing to do with you flesh.
I'm not going to bother, since this isn't Peterlag's thread. You can address the OP if you please. If not, not interested.

The Catholics took the Apostles ministry over pretty early. It did not get big and popular until the second century. But for it to be that big then it must have taken roots much earlier. I read historians writing about holy water as far back as the year 80 or 90. They may have been around starting up even when some of the Apostles were still alive and if so they probably helped to kill them. So they got it early with the help of the Roman King and corrupted the thing so that even today there's a whole bunch of people who believe what the Catholics taught them and think it's from Jesus.

The law said we must be perfect. Cursed is the one who does not obey every word (every jot and tittle) As James said, if we even STUMBLE in one part. We are guilty

The law said once guilty, the only way to be made right with God is innocent animals without spot had to die and shed their blood, Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

The law was a picture of reality. It has not changed. We must be perfect. If we even stumble in one sin, The only way to be made right with God is the shedding of Blood. Jesus did that 2000 years ago on the cross. The lamb of God, the Great High priest who now makes intercession for us.

We can’t make ourselves right with God. We can’t keep ourselves right with God. The only thing we keep doing is stumbling and earning the Spiritual death we were saved from.

Jesus said we MUST be born again, it was not an option. We are/were dead in trespasses and sin. And must be made alive in Christ. Through the cross. Those who have been made alive, have the promise of Jesus himself that they will NEVER PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE.

Now either God has made you right with him, and continues to make you right with him as High priest.

Or you are trying to make yourself right with God with your works, you good dead’s. Or trying to think you are abiding in Christ, when you have not even really met Christ.

No one can come to the father except through me Jesus said. Again, Not an option. A command. Eat the bread from heaven, and you will not die. Hunger or thirst. You will live forever, have eternal life and Jesus will raise you on the last day.

the choice is yours

It’s sad that mankind is so fallen, Satan creeps in and distorts the truth and we fall hook line and sinker.

I looked up every word for sin in the New Testament and then wrote about it and you can see part of it by clicking on the following link. Every single human being that I have told this about tells me I'm totally insane or working for the devil. But when I trace what everyone has been taught... it leads me right back to the Catholics. www.carb-fat.com/walking-by-the-spirit.html

The concept of the original sin was first alluded to in the second century by Irenaeus, (Bishop of Lyon) who was working for the Catholics and not for the apostle Paul. Some two hundred years later another church father who went by the name of Augustine, (Bishop of Hippo) whose writings shaped and developed the doctrine of sin as he considered that humanity shared in Adam's sin. Augustine's formulation of the original sin after the year of 412 was popular among protestant reformer's such as Martin Luther and John Calvin, who equated the original sin with a hurtful desire meaning that it persisted even after baptism and therefore completely destroyed the freedom to do good. At first Augustine, said that free will was weakened, but not destroyed by the original sin. But after the year of 412 this concept changed to a loss of free will except to sin, and it's this Augustine's concept that influenced the development of the western church and western philosophy and indirectly all of western Christianity.

I've already addressed this argument: the eternal life is only in His Son (1 Jn 5:11), thus it makes sense that only those who remain in Him (by obeying His twofold law of faith) receive the eternal life/spirit (1 Jn 3:23, 24).

You need to stick to the topic.
Just make your argument from Scripture.
Personal attacks don't help anyone.
If you have answers, share them.

The fact is you don't have answers, so you're frustrated and you lash out. If you really were humble you would understand this, and not do what you're doing.

You should make your own thread about it--you've raised this topic several times already.

You seem interested in this topic--again, you may want to make a thread for it, bc, as you already know, it's not the topic.

Amen

It’s to be producing fruit because you are attached to the vine. And God works through you by walking in the spirit.

That is what abiding in christ means. It’s not working to earn salvation or keep it.
If we haven’t become Born Again.....then all they teach will be in vain as their teachings is from themselves...which is pretty noticeable.

It’s the Holy Spirit who is the fruit bearer , there is no fruit in us, unless we are Born Again....then it’s the Holy Spirit who softens our hearts, so that we can bear “ HIS” fruit....( he’s at work in our hearts)

Remember we are being made into Jesus, and that don’t happen overnight, imo.as for being tossed in the fire....they have no understanding of the rebirth...maybe in time, as I was pretty ignorant in God’s word as a new babe....all I knew was...I was Born Again...that was it.....the Holy Spirit has taught me what I know today...

So, according to you, contrary to Scripture, a branch doesn't need to abide in the Vine, and it is all right if it gets thrown in the fire. Interesting. I wouldn't direct anyone to NOT abide, and be destined for the fire, but "to each his own".

So glad women aren't permitted to teach men, notwithstanding their empty claims (eg, no actual arguments furnished) of having been "taught by God".

Prove it. This is the place for it. It's called a discussion. It's not helpful to anyone that you make empty claims, like a zoo animal throwing your feces around. Just make your point from Scripture. I'm waiting.

Being born of God is irrelevant, since we are required to abide, and many don't, and they will be cut off and thrown in fire.

Only a Born Again can understand the word of God, even then as new babes, it can take the Holy Spirit a long time to open up the heart/ mind of his child to understand what he is saying.

We never stop learning, especially when our spirit is in his word...Praise God For that!!

Then there are those .

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Only a Born Again would understand these words, through the Holy Spirit that has birthed us in the Spirit.

We see, because we+are in God’s Kingdom...we have received that new heart/ Spirit within.

We are in the world, but, we are not of the world....we the Born Again are in God’s Spiritual realm....try explaining that to someone who is still in darkness and sin.

[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God

I don't know how you think you're being helpful when you throw your fecal matter at me.

I can only conclude you're not actually trying to help me, contrary to what your words--that you're mature, and spiritually enlightened, etc, etc--would have everyone believe.

Only a Born Again has the Spirit of God.
As his word says.

1 Corinthians 2:14-16

1 Corinthians 2:14-16 GNBUK

Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God's Spirit. Such people really do not understand them; they are nonsense to them, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis. Whoever has the Spirit, however, is able to judge the value of everything, but no one is able to judge him. As the scripture says: “Who knows the mind of the Lord? Who is able to give him advice?” We, however, have the mind of Christ.
