Hello Ritajanice, and EG,
There is a verse I was reading earlier from the 1 chapter of Philippians, which speak of the fruit of righteousness.
He was writing to the Philippians, and he wrote saying,
8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
What is interesting to note here, is Pauls prayer is for their love to abound more and even so in knowledge, and depth and insight, that they may be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. I believe this is also achieved by abiding in him, which he explained to his chosen disciples at that time speaking and saying, in John 15. (Of course there is day of Christ referencing the coming day of the LORD.)
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[
a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
Sorry, to
