Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Sure. You just remember the Sabbath and keep it holy... something you should be doing every day anyway. There aren't any work restrictions attached to it in the New Covenant because doing good on the Sabbath is lawful. In order words don't sin... something we should not be doing every day...

Judas was not one of the non believers Jesus was referring to, but the one who would betray him. The non-believers left Jesus, Judas didn't. John 6 66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. The resurrection is the eternal life gifting event. If only people...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

I am replying to this question separately because it's a different topic and yes I was on that site over a year ago, but they banned me and I am okay with that. I am not a Trinitarian and I didn't know it was against their rules to not be so when the topic came up they just banned me, a decision...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Hey look here. You can actually quote Scripture. So, let's take a look here. The Father gave Jesus the authority to give eternal life to those who He gave him. Right? John 17 2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And...

Read about him. You will find he was empowered to do miracles and preach the gospel. He was also told he would receive eternal life. Yes and amen... after the resurrection. Jesus taught eternal life was after the resurrection in Matthew 25:46, Luke 20:34-36, John 5:29. So the resurrection is a...

Since eternal life is a gift and God's gifts are irrevocable then you might want to have a chit chat with Mr. Judas Iscariot because he was both promised eternal life and was a believer, but was ultimately lost for his extreme wickedness. ...after the judgement is when Jesus taught people...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Already read the Bible. A lot. There is nothing for me to mention in the Bible about OSAS. First of all, it is never plainly stated or described. If you mean that after you have been given eternal life, something you have not been given yet, that you would be OSAS then that would be correct...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Yes that's true about what Jesus said in Matt 7:1. I think it's almost human nature to find one's clique and who they can yoke with. On the one hand, we are not supposed to judge, but then on the other hand it's almost unavoidable to pass some judgements even if only subconsciously; doesn't make...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Yes that's a good point. A good question for every Reformed theologian is if people can be saved without Calvin's teachings. I mean, they're doctrines, not Scripture. I think this is an important thing to be cognizant of because Christian denominations say a great many things and then after the...

Predictable. Now you're playing the victim when people expose what you are behind your thinly-veiled guise of self-righteousness and fake piety. It doesn't take much to see right through it, though, since you already exposed yourself by immediately suggesting I'm going to hell, sinning, and a...

Seems your element is being dramatic and manipulative. In that case, it's better to take your toys away. You can't keep derailing this thread away from the topic if no one will play with you. If you change your mind and want to actually discuss what the Bible says, I will post my first reply in...

Proving it and you listening are not the same things. I will be happy to prove it once you cease with the personal attacks. You have been relentless ever since I first addressed the OP and you immediately inferred I am going to hell. Saying "He who is without sin cast the first stone" is...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Yes all true. I know you and I disagree about some other things, but on this we agree. I see that in this thread there is a bit of sleight of hand going on. Comment #1 conflated Christianity with Reformed theology when they aren’t really the same things. And Got Questions has a heavy Calvinist...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

Yes it’s me. Same person from the other forum. Nice to see you here. Yes. In OSAS and Calvinism there is not something one can do to lose their salvation or elect status even if they wanted to. In other words, they believe they’re going to heaven and there is nothing they can do about it. I’m...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

I didn’t lie. OSAS and Calvinism does permit unabated sinning day and night. If they don’t allow for this, then the doctrine is false. It's not desirable for one to admit this is the truth in those doctrines, thus the downplaying of this fact. It's entirely counter to what the Bible teaches...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

5 Point Calvinism isn't the same thing as Luther's 95 Theses nor are they compatible on all points even if they both fall under the umbrella of Protestantism. You're using what is called a category error. This thread is not even about the Reformation movement. Since you didn't seem to know...

Perseverance of the Saints is different from Once Saved Always Saved

You're right except the being told to depart is more akin to an unceremonious throwing out. The sad thing is their doctrines do ultimately allow for the sinning as much as one wants even though I know OSAS and Calvinist folk will say everything to downplay this.

How is being alone and right in your own eyes working out for you so far? You know, sometimes it's better to not double down. The Reformation Doctrine isn't the same thing as the Reformed Doctrine. You know that, too, and you still said you're right. You have a huge ego I see. Indeed, it is.

This is unrelated to my comment. This isn't even the same topic either. I am speaking about Calvin's Reformed doctrines, i.e. TULIP, not Luther's Protestant Reformation. Please take time to find out the difference. Baby steps.
