When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

As far as Jewish theology goes, Jesus was himself of the Pharisaic tradition who didn't believe the Messiah would be God. All of Jesus' teachings are compatible with the Pharisaic tradition in Jewish theology. Virtually all scholars I've read agree with that as well. So I agree with the...

When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

Thank you for your comments, but I would offer you that in the preceding verses, Jesus identified who the Father as the only God. So whether or not Jesus literally pre-existed in some form or another prior to a being a man doesn't necessarily mean that he would have pre-existed as God before the...

When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

That's a good question. I certainly agree that no one thought Jesus was God before the cross, but there is good evidence that, at least in the Bible, they kept on believing Jesus isn't God as well. To the best of our knowledge, the letters and books of the Bible were actually written, sometimes...

When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

I would offer you that the oneness with God that Jesus was referring to has nothing to do with Jesus actually being God himself, but rather unity. Jesus commented on this same oneness in John 17:20-23, praying that his disciples would have the same oneness with God that he does and with one...

When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

There are many reasons, but one of them is that John 17:3 says the Father is the only true God.

When Jesus Came out the Grave, he was Born Again.

I would also add that Thomas didn't technically address Jesus as God. As to whether or not that is what Thomas meant, only God and Thomas would know. However, the Apostle John, in recording this event, didn't interpret Thomas as having addressed Jesus as God—at least not in the God Almighty...

    IS THE REFORMED FAITH BIBLICAL?

One thing that should be stated, which I am not sure if you agree with or not, but if the original sin doctrine is false then Calvin's TULIP loses all of its petals. I, for one, believe the original sin theory is false. Just something to consider if you want to bring the Reformed faith to its knees.

    Not according to Scripture.

    The Case for Eternal Security

I think like all doctrines regarding salvation (or anything) people will find a way to explain away all of the opposing Scripture that either suggests or directly states otherwise. There are a lot of theologians and apologists who are good at defending what they believe, just like a lawyer...

How did Paganism get into the church?

It possibly happened when the pagans influenced Christians. It didn't happen overnight, but gradually, step by step, a few ideas here and there crept their way into the church. It was bound to happen because people are influenced by ideas and sometimes can't separate biases, beliefs, and wishful...

Why more Christians need to stop equating Allah with the God of Abraham

John 14 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 15 10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's...

Why more Christians need to stop equating Allah with the God of Abraham

True, while Jesus was in heaven they did speak out to him, but I believe it's debatable as to whether or not crying out to or speaking to someone in heaven necessarily equates to praying. While it's true praying can be reduced to speaking and/or asking - speaking and/or asking doesn't always...

Why more Christians need to stop equating Allah with the God of Abraham

Sorry, but speaking to someone standing nearby isn't what constitutes a prayer. As a matter of scholarly interest, the word "prayer" is also never used in reference to speaking to Jesus in Scripture. Fascinating.

Why more Christians need to stop equating Allah with the God of Abraham

Technically, there are no instructions to pray to Jesus is Scripture or Jesus answering prayers in Scripture. When Jesus taught on the matter of praying, he only spoke of praying to the Father and taught his followers to do the same. See Matthew 6:6-9. When he spoke of prayers being answered, he...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

Haven't read it, but I know that Justin Martyr isn't a Trinitarian by today's standards. The Trinity doctrine evolved over time and began as a sectarian offshoot of Christianity. Here is what Justin believed:

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

We already talked about this and you ran like the devil when I said Isaiah 9:6 is a subjective translation because the same exact words in their plural form appear in Ezekiel 32:21 and they are not "mighty God" in English.

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

What's your take on the viability of Isaiah 9:6 in Brenton's Septuagint Translation? 6For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

and yet he was never called those things because he isn't the Father. lol. You quote things you don't understand. Begin here and you'll be on the right track: John 17 1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son...

Can AI be used for the Gospel?

I have observed AI produce bad results and sometimes seem to just make things up. I would fact check anything it says and not assume it's giving accurate information.
