This is a big day for me! I've finally met someone who thinks the Apostle Peter authored Second Peter! Everyone I have ever known or read who weighed in on the subject says it was pseudographical.

Not everyone doubts the word of God.
Just Catholics, and similar, who have no use for the Bible

Here is the thing..
Im not a bible corrector, im a bible believer.

Bible correctors, like you, have no foundation, other then "what my church told me to think".. "what this church father said".... or "what my commentary said about the bible".. or "our church history says that the bible needs to be updated, so we added to it all our man made TRADITIONS, and we have more on the way"...

See all that?
That is a problem, a deception, that you'll never overcome.

Never shy away from the Holy Scriptures as it is our CORRECTOR and HELPER and COMFORTER

Even when you disagree with it!

I don't doubt the word of God. I'm not Catholic. And I have great use for the Bible. I just refuse to read into it the things you do -- like the "our" in Second Thessalonians refers to more that Paul, Silas and Timothy, and like the Apostle Peter had a copy of all of Paul's letters. You don't know these things from the Bible itself. You are projecting into it what you WANT it to mean. I refuse to play that game.

A Disagreement with the word, is based on too many translations that are not good, and too many commentators who want to sit in authority over the word of God, who hate the Bible.

You can't love the bible, .. you can't love the word of God and then spend time reading "bible correctors commentaries", and listening to Bible Correctors.
See that?
That proves the person has no respect for the BIBLE.
They only respect the bible correctors, and the first being who corrected the word of God was Satan, and He's created an entire scholarship worshiping group of bible correctors that have long existed to destroy a Christians faith in the word of God.

The Bible does not need to be corrected, it needs to be TRUSTED, and these people who go to bed at night and dream about "errors" in the bible, have no idea who has control of them, which causes them to LUST to be involved with trying to find something wrong with scriptures.

In the Case of Catholics and those similar.......they never realize that all CULTS use the same mental trap,.... all religious cults use the same mental Trap to capture their victim.
And that is.....>"we are the authority".. "trust US"....
And how does the DEVIL keep a person from trusting God's Word?
Satan tells them.. "there are errors in that book", and that destroys their TRUST, and then they have nothing else as a foundation, other then their Opinion or their CULT that destroyed their Trust in the Bible as Satan Directed.

Whereas, Christianity, is built upon the Lord who loved the Scriptures, and the Apostles who spiritually manifested the NT.

HalleluYAH Brother

When you have time alone with the LORD, pray about Daniel chapter 2 and we can come back together on it and let the Scripture Speak for Itself.

I don't doubt the word of God. I'm not Catholic. And I have great use for the Bible.

If what you said had a shred of honestly connected to it, you will never be found talking about "errors" in the Scriptures.

Never would a person who Loves the Lord, and the word of God, .. .come to a forum or to a pulpit, and try to cast Doubt on the word of God, by trying to prove "errors".. as that is casting doubt, and that type of Christianity, is Vomit.
Nothing Less.

I recall that when i first came to this forum, i met a good brother who was very supportive of my teaching, and then one day, they decided to write a Thread that put themselves in the position of being a bible corrector..
So, i suggested that they not do that, and they have never gotten over it, and 4 yrs later, they still want to come on occasion to my Threads and give me a little kick.
And i did them a favor, and they are still unaware of it...

and like the Apostle Peter had a copy of all of Paul's letters.

What Peter stated, and it can be that someone with Peter wrote down (dictated) Peter's words.........as this was not uncommon.
However that is not the same as trying to prove that someone just came along and wrote stuff, and it was classified as "peter's".

And Peter said , in first person, that Paul's letters are "Scripture". and said that some of them are difficult to understand.

You dont have to believe the bible, and yet, you claim something different...
And apparently dont read it much, as you seem convinced that what im showing you, is not what Peter said in His Epistle.

You should do some study.

Jude Thaddeus brought it up; I just replied. And I guess you grabbed my reply as if it was intended to disagree with your thesis. I don't disagree with your thesis. You'll get no argument from me on the importance of oral tradition. I've already stated that a few times here.

Where we disagree is on your use of 2 Thess. 2:15 as a proof text for the equivalence of Scripture and oral tradition. We agree that they ARE equivalent. But 2 Thess. 2:15 doesn't say so. It only says that the Thessalonians should treat what they heard verbally from Paul (whatever that was) as of equal authority with what he (and perhaps others) wrote to them. 2 Thess. 2:15 says nothing, indeed it implies nothing, about any other writing penned by Matthew, or by Mark, or by Luke, or by John, or by Peter, or by Jude, or by whoever wrote Hebrews -- or for that matter by Paul in his letters to other churches that he hadn't yet written at the time he wrote Second Thessalonians.

Are all those other writings Scripture? Yes! Does Second Thessalonians say so. No!
I do think however we can make a very good educated guess, at least in this case, as to what it was that Paul was referring to which he had previously spoken to them about. Ithink in context, the holding on of teachings and traditions etc previously taught, was in direct reference to the second coming and the identity of the coming man of sin prior to that great event, and the actual identity of that which was holding up his appearance.

“2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand....
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? ....
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. ”
2 Thessalonians 2:2, 5, 15 KJV

In other words, don't accept any nonsense teachings that don't come directly from us, because there are many false prophets and counterfeit writings with our name attached. Remember and stick to only that which we previously spoke about. A reasonable question is often asked, why didn't Paul openly repeat and remind the Thessalonians in writing that which he had previously spoken about? Would it not have clarified much of what the whole chapter was about, and calming their fears? The answer is yes, it would have clarified and reinforced his former teaching, but it would, as many have pointed out, been dangerous to put in writing that which the occupational authorities, and perhaps traitors in the church itself, could have used as evidence for sedition.

Add to that 'Behold's' presumptions regarding your faith in scripture. Oh that we all could not only just accept what is written in scripture, but also what we tell each other on the forum, without the assumptions associated with the denominations we align with, or the prejudices of our own making.

Revelations does not explain Luke. You are projecting.
There is 1 flock-2 groups named of that 1 flock= The little flock(Luke 12:32) =numbered 144,000-will sit on thrones as kings and priests( Rev 1:6, Rev 20:6)=the anointed bride of Christ.
The great crowd no man can number are the other sheep( John 10:16) who are not of that fold.

You’re changing the argument.

Your initial argument was that nobody is to receive the Eucharist EXCEPT for the 144,000 – a claim that Scripture NEVER makes.
I just showed you, its a covenant to those who will sit on thrones. Only the 144,000 will sit on thrones--What don't you understand about that?

JESUS never said that nor did He ever allude to that either.

But HE did say this:

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice;
and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

To Build on this Foundation the Holy Spirit gave more detail to this One Shepherd and One Flock - Ephesians chapter 2

Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances,
so as to create in Himself One New Man from the two, thus making peace,
and that He might reconcile them both to God
in One Body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

I just showed you in the bible two different parts of the same flock-The little flock is numbered-144,000, the great crowd no man can number. Its there black and white, in every translation on earth. Your blind guides do not understand it that is why you don't.

If the flock you speak of is a literal number, then because they are of the tribes of Israel, then they must also be literal Jews. Are those JWs who make up the 144,000 Jewish by any chance?

Uhh, no – you didn’t show me where it says that ONLY 144,000 can partake in the Eucharist.

You’ll have to explain why Jesus taught the crowdsnot a select few – that they MUST eat His flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life (John 6:53-57).

You’ll also have to explain why Paul preached to the Corinthians about examining themselves before receiving the Eucharist instead of receiving it in sin, as they were doing (1 Cor. 11:27-30).

You; have to explain why the Apostles were teaching their congregations to gather on the first day of the week to receive the Eucharist (breaking of bread).

The Eucharist is for ALL those who obediently follow Christ and are in a state of grace.

This is the most asinine argument I’ve ever been involved in with regard to the authority of Scripture.

YOU ignorantly believe that each Book of Scripture doesn’t convey Truth – unless it is read in chronological order.

EACH Book is Scripture individually. – and they are ALL Scripture collectively. And whereas, Peter refers to Paul’s writings as “Scripture” – Paul doesn’t. He says, flat-out, “A letter of ours”
(2 Thess. 2:15).

Their Letters are was became the New Testament, collectively - authored my the Holy Spirit. And He knew ALL along that they were Scripture . . .

The Jewish religion is cut off( Matt 23:38) thus-spiritual Israel= Any Jewish person leaving Judaism and joining Jesus' 1 religion and gentiles who join that 1religion and are taught TRUTH.= spiritual Israel which just means-Gods chosen.

Most back then were apart of the 144,000--You will find out Paul's warning is to the Great crowd of other sheep( John 10:16) who are not of that fold , that they are unworthy( 1Cor 11:27) to partake, and its a major sin to do so. The blind guides tell all to partake.
Those same blind guides never teach a single word about the difference of the little flock and great crowd, because they know 0 about it.

No, I wisely believe that each Book of Scripture does convey Truth -- regardless of the order in which it is read.

I agree.

I agree that the author of Second Peter refers to Paul's writings as Scripture --and I agree that Paul doesn't.
