The parable is showing that the church is not ready. All 10 asleep. However, half of them have the oil which is represent the Holy Ghost. Those that have the Holy Ghost and per Acts 2:38 will be taken. That is why you must obey Acts 2:38 and… Walk in the Spirit.

Uh, wrong.

Matt 25:1-13
25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

All... 10 symbolic virgins had lamps with the OIL in them, and they all waited on Christ's coming. Jesus Christ is that symbolic "bridegroom".

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps,
and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The 5 foolish virgins did not bring a 'spare vessel' of the Oil to go with their lamps. They only had the Oil that was in their lamps.

But the 5 wise virgins did bring a spare vessel of the Oil to go with the Oil in their lamps.

The symbolic Oil represents The Holy Spirit, which Jesus promised to those who believe on Him and are baptized. The Holy Spirit Jesus said will teach us all things.

(How then does the 5 foolish virgins not having a spare vessel of the Oil represent their deception? Whatever one believes, that's the idea Lord Jesus is pointing to; they didn't have enough of the Oil, i.e., understanding by The Holy Spirit. To me, that points to their having been deceived by men's false doctrines instead of staying in God's Word as written).

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

All 10 virgins slumbered and slept. That is meant simply that no man can know the day or hour of Lord Jesus' future coming. Because Jesus would not use that metaphor to point to His faithful Church (wise virgins) being deceived, it has to simply mean He was pointing to no one actually knowing the day or hour of His return, not even His very elect.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Since symbolic MIDNIGHT is when Jesus comes per the parable, it means the time just prior to that had... to have been the "great tribulation" represented by the 11th hour just prior to midnight.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, "Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out."
9 But the wise answered, saying, "Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you:
but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves."

How does the above fit Jesus' command for us to 'WATCH', lest we fail to recognize what 'watch' the thief would break in? (Jesus was using the idea of the Hebrew 'watch' periods from sundown to dawn).

The 5 foolish virgins did not 'watch'.

So they failed to recognize what 'watch' the thief would come. And per Rev.16:15, Jesus warned His Church that He comes "as a thief", and blessed are those who watch and keep their garments, lest they walk naked (symbolically) and show their shame.

How do those 5 foolish virgins show their deception? Simple, can one actually BUY that Oil that represents The Holy Spirit?? God forbid, NO! But that's what they try to do going to the market. And notice they come back empty handed and are turned away by Lord Jesus.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, "Verily I say unto you, I know you not."

13
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
KJV

Who then would those 'sellers' represent??

Those represent Satan's servants that creep in pushing false doctrine designed to deceive brethren. You cannot BUY The Holy Spirit; remember Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8 that after he believed on Jesus he offered the Apostles money with trying to buy... The Holy Spirit. Can't buy it. Isn't that what some of the false churches actually are doing, using money to buy one's way into Heaven? Don't laugh, one of the old Catholic doctrines of men that Martin Luther hated was indulgences, paying money to get one's dead loved ones out of Purgatory.

The point is, the 5 foolish virgins show they were in a state lacking understanding in The Word of God. Otherwise they would have not TRUSTED they could go BUY the Oil from those 'sellers' that represent Satan's host.

You have to be beheaded or take the mark. There is no third option. Being beheaded is the act of Salvation during Satan's 8th Kingdom controlling the entire earth with the Abomination of Desolation. During these 42 months, God will not place a mark on those who chop their heads off. That is one's final choice after the Second Coming and final harvest.
Most of that idea is from MEN, not God's Word.

Not all the Church is executed during the coming "great tribulation", otherwise there would be NO gathering of the saints per Matthew 24:29-31 on the day of Jesus' 2nd coming!

So you need to also read Revelation 20 about those of the 1st resurrection.

Rev 20:4-5
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
KJV

The different groups of saints of verse 4:
1. "souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,"
2. "and for the word of God,"
3. "and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands,"

ONLY groups 1 & 2 are executed for giving a Witness of Jesus Christ.

Group 3 represents the majority of Christ's Church, as all of Christ's Church that remain alive, like Paul said in 1 Thess.4:17, are to go through the "great tribulation", surviving it waiting for Jesus' 2nd coming.

Warning:
Those who put their trust in believing false prophets that wrongly teach the coming "great tribulation" is going to be all out war and devastation and famine and pestilences and earthquakes are NOT paying attention in Gods written Word.

The devastation time is just PRIOR to the start of the "great tribulation", a period Jesus called "the beginning of sorrows" (Matt.24). Lord Jesus said we'd hear of wars and rumors of wars, but don't be troubled for those things must be, but the END is not yet (Matt.24). What's He saying with that last phrase, that "the end is not yet"?

That END represents the time of "great tribulation" at the end of this world just prior to His future return. By His showing the wars will be PRIOR to that END, what is He indirectly saying the END will be like?? If you are saying to yourself like what pre-trib rapture sensationalist authors like Hal Lindsay and Tim LaHaye wrote books about and made lots of money with, then THROW THAT JUNK AWAY, because those books do not follow God's Word about the type of time the END (GT) will be.

Back in Daniel 8 we were shown the "little horn" representing the final Antichrist at the END will destroy using PEACE, and will even cause craft to prosper by his hand! And Apostle Paul showed in 1 Thess.5 that the deceived at the end will be saying, "Peace and safety" in that future time, meaning the coming great trib is to be a time of WORLD PEACE, for the deceived that is.

The ones that will stand against the coming FAKE WORLD PEACE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT will be those who stand in Jesus Christ and are persecuted for it, while giving a Testimony for Jesus against them. Some of us may be killed for it, but then Jesus is not going to allow them to harm a hair on the heads of the majority of His Church on earth for that future trib (see Luke 21:12-19).

…..as the wrath of God kills most saints beforehand.

That's definitely Biblical ignorance on your part.

Have you never read Daniel 3 about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nigo? how they were cast into the hot fiery furnace heated seven times hotter than necessary, and Nebuchadnezzar looked over at them, and saw a Forth Man in that furnace with them that had the appearance of The Son of God?

Those in Christ do NOT have to worry about God's consuming fire on the last day of this world harming us! Lord Jesus Christ is our PROTECTION THROUGH IT! just like He protected Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nigo whose clothes didn't even smell of smoke when they came out of that hot furnace!

Also see Isaiah 33:14-17.

If you mean the 'catching away' in 1 Thess 4:17, then your error is glaringly apparent.
That transportation occurs when Jesus Returns, as verse 16 says.....when the Lord descends from heaven......

So Jose; give me the scripture which clearly says there will be living saints in heaven.
First Thessalonians 4-5 is the quotation of Jesus per Matthew 24 when one shall be taken and the other left. I can prove this. It is Paul quoting Jesus. Jesus is talking about the days of Noah versus the coming of the son of man. The righteous were removed and the ungodly were drowned. The catching away verses the wrath of God on the unbeliever.
Matthew 25 depicts the exact same situation via the church situation. This is the church being split with those that are walking in the spirit removed and those that are not left behind.

You compared what... two passages?

I was proclaiming God's Word of what Lord Jesus taught in His Olivet discourse about the time of His future return and gathering of His Church, which those gathering events in His Olivet discourse He gave are the 'same' events that Apostle Paul taught in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 about the future gathering of His Church.
Paul is quoting Jesus. 1Thes 4-5 has Paul quoting Jesus per Matthew 24 with the one taken and the other left.
Notice in 1Thes 4 the righteous are taken. In Matt 24 the righteous are taken.
Notice in 1Thes 5 the unbelievers are left behind per chapter 5. Notice in Matthew 24 the unrighteous are left behind.

That is NOT about a pre-trib rapture.

1. Jesus was merely showing how at the time of Noah, he and his family were sealed by God inside the ark and that was how they were protected by God to go through... the flood. The ark never left the flood, but SURVIVED through it, thus showing the Church will also go through the "great tribulation" sealed by Christ, and thus go through... the tribulation, and survive it. Jesus even used the idea of waters as a flood coming out of the serpent's mouth as a symbol for the future tribulation while linked... to the flood waters of Noah's day! (see Rev.12).

2. Per Luke 17:36 with Jesus' answer when His disciples asked Him 'where'... those TAKEN would be taken to, Jesus shows the DECEIVED are the TAKEN ones, and is NOT Christ's Church! Your pre-trib rapture teachers are lying to you about the 1st one 'taken'. That's even what Jesus showed about those outside Noah's ark when the flood came; it TOOK them all away! So you aren't listening to Lord Jesus, you are listening to men.

3. When Jesus was speaking of the 'goodman' of the house that remains 'watching' like He commanded, it means that goodman will KNOW WHEN the thief tries to break in. That is why Lord Jesus commanded His servants to WATCH. And then Jesus said the watchman WILL BE BLESSED when He returns and finds him watching, and giving meat in due season, i.e., remain working in the field with the meat of God's Word, waiting for Christ's coming after the tribulation.

4. Per 1 Thess.5 Apostle Paul showed how at the end the deceived will be proclaiming, "Peace and safety", because they will be deceived by the false-Messiah that comes first to 'play' Christ. Revelation 13 shows that coming false-Messiah will work miracles to deceive all nations, end all wars, etc. In the Book of Daniel, that Antichrist-false Messiah is to destroy using PEACE. That is "great tribulation" time when that false-Messiah is to appear and do that.

Lord Jesus Christ comes afterwards to destroy that false-Messiah, which Apostle Paul also showed in 2 Thessalonians 2. That means Jesus comes POST-TRIB to gather His Church, not pre-trib.

5. Because Lord Jesus proclaimed His future return will be AFTER THE TRIBULATION in Matthew 24:29-31, you cannot use those above Scriptures to CONTRADICT what He said with a FALSE pre-trib rapture teaching.

6. The above Biblical FACTS are available to any disciple of Jesus Christ that instead of listening to false prophets that created man's false pre-trib rapture that serves the devil, instead get into God's Word and study, and don't just believe those false prophets.
Matt 24 says the catching away is for the saints. Before the destruction.

You haven't proven that pre-trib rapture is God's Word, so I wouldn't get haughty.

Since you at present believe that false pre-trib rapture doctrine from men, it means you will be subject to being like a dead "carcase" taken to where the fowls will dine upon you. That was Jesus' answer about the 1st one 'taken' in Luke 17:36-37. Here is the Matthew 24:28 version of Jesus' answer...

Matt 24:28
28 For wheresoever the
carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
KJV

Luke 17:36-37
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 And they answered and said unto Him,
"Where, Lord?" And He said unto them, "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together."
KJV

If you want to be a DEAD CARCASE gathered to where those FOWLS will sup on you, fine, then go to, stay deceived by those false prophets you listen to. Or... you can listen to Lord Jesus' warning in His Word about that, and STAY in the field working for Him and waiting for HIS future return to gather us.
That is a goofy cherry picking doctrine that you are rehearsing. Matthew 24 is the depiction of first Thessalonians four and five.
They both say the exact same thing in their own words. It starts with a catching away, then a thief, then a drunken servant.
Do you, it is only a coincidence that it is worded that way.
However, Paul says this, we say by the word of the Lord. That means Paul was quoting Jesus.

I wonder about your reading comprehension.
It appears that you fail to understand about metaphors and analogies that occurs in all... languages. That was a subject even in grammar school English class. God uses that method of symbolic analogy a whole lot in His Word.

The asleep metaphor Jesus was using in Matthew 25 is a metaphor for deception about the time of the end, about the 11th hour which represents the great trib that happens just prior to His future return at symbolic MIDNIGHT.

Matt 25:6
6 And
at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
KJV

Like Jesus' parable of the laborers of the vineyard of Matthew 20, those who were hired last and worked only "one hour" got the same pay as those who had worked all day. That "one hour" is a symbol for the "great tribulation" time, the last hour of this present world.

Same symbol for that final "one hour" is also used for when the ten kings of Rev.17 come to power and reign "one hour" with the beast (i.e, beast king). Jesus also uses that "one hour" idea for Peter in Matthew 26 that could he not 'watch' for "one hour", a reference for us too, about Jesus' warning to 'watch' the SIGNS He gave us in His Olivet discourse of events leading up to His future return. In Revelation 3, Jesus tells the Church of Philadelphia He would keep them from the "hour of temptation", pointing to their not being deceived during the time of "great tribulation" at the end of this world. His elect will not... be tempted by the coming false-Messiah who will claim to be Christ while deceiving the whole world with the great signs and miracles he will do.

So since Matthew 25 shows Jesus coming at symbolic MIDNIGHT, then it means those 10 virgins are symbolically asleep going through the great trib that is on the 11th HOUR.

God makes His Own analogies in His Word. Man makes his own that are OUTSIDE of His Word, and that is definitely what man's false pre-trib rapture doctrine does.
So you think that Jesus and Paul both quoting these passages saying catching away, thief, then drunken servant are coincidence?

No, you are wrong. They did not show that they didn’t understand, they had no oil in their lamps. This means they were not walking in the Spirit . And trust me, you can be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins like the Bible commands, but if you don’t have the Holy Ghost or you’re not walking in the spirit, you are Spiritless virgin.

You cannot try and hide your false idea that the final 70th week of Daniel 9:27 was fulfilled by Christ's Ministry at His 1st coming, no matter how much ad lib Scripture you post in attempting to support such a false idea.

The final 70th week, called "one week" (or one seven) in the Daniel 9:27 verse is still yet to be fulfilled. And it will ONLY be fulfilled by the coming Antichrist/false-Messiah in Jerusalem at the very END of this world for the coming future "great tribulation".
Your twisting a Messianic prophecy to include the Antichrist is bordering on blasphemy. I will not apologize, nor will I back down, for believing the 70 weeks are one complete fulfilled prophecy. Screenshot_2024-07-05-10-25-19-40.jpg

"And in the midst of the week, He shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease".

If that is actually a metaphor, then there is no bride. There is no bridegroom and there’s no cry made. I think you’re looking for another word to describe the coming of the Lord for his bride.

No, one thing doesn’t mean something else. The 10 virgins slumbered and slept because they were asleep and not watching. That’s why the end of the passage says watch. Same for you, watch.

So the entire earth is going to be in the midst of burning flames, earthquakes, overheated sun, seven plagues vials of wrath and saints won’t be touched? Only the antichrist can touch them? Oh boy.

Sleeping is a normal thing humans do every night. 5 of them were wise and had light as they slept.

So half of them were ready and went to the wedding.
That is quite comprehensible what you just posted. We need to keep it simple and not be like that other fella that has this massive commentary on a simple verse.

KJV Psalms 91:1
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

KJV Psalms 57:1
1 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
So you’re going to have a shadow cast over you when the sun overheats and there’s an earthquake leveling things, people all around you are gonna be crying rocks falling us, and hide us from the wrath of him to come per Rev chapter 6? How about everybody else, are millions of shadows going to be cast over them? Every believer gonna be subject to seeing all of their loved ones perishing around them and they just walk in the rubble for seven years? Are they gonna also get Manna from heaven? Is this what you’re advocating for Christians during the wrath of God?
Water from a rock? Horrible famines on earth and your endless supply of food cannot be given for relief to those under wrath? Is this what you’re advocating for Christians to expect during the wrath of God? It easier to let the rapture happen to them first and escape wrath like Noah, Enoch, Lot etc?

Are any of you post tribbers going to lend a hand to those that are dying all around you? When God feeds you and gives you water and shelter from the sun and they’re perishing and they’re in heat you’re not gonna let them in your spirit bunker?
So are you gonna rescue them from God‘s wrath? Are you gonna plug your ears and sing louder as the train going to the concentration camp did to the Jews and the German people just let it happen?
Will you refuse to take the sinners in and tell them “my 4 and no more?”

Why do you take the book of Revelation so literally? How does your understanding of earthquakes and plagues being a sign that the end is at hand line up with what Jesus taught here:

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

It seems like you have those things as indicating that the end is at hand, but Jesus said those "things must come to pass, but the end is not yet". We've had two world wars and many other wars and many earthquakes and such just in the past 100 years or so, but that obviously didn't mean the end of the age was at hand. Jesus said those things are only "the beginning of sorrows", so why do you (seemingly) have them as the ending of sorrows instead?

Whenever you interpret any passage of scripture that causes you to contradict other scripture, you need to reconsider how you are interpreting that scripture. You need to think about what type of book Revelation. It was purposely "signified" (Rev 1:1), which means it's message is purposely coded with symbolism and its meaning purposely hidden to unbelievers similar to how Jesus's parables were. Yet, you still somehow think it's talking about literal earthquakes and other plagues when in reality it's describing spiritual tribulation symbolically using terms that are normally associated with physical tribulation.

Other scripture focuses on spiritual tribulation occurring before Christ returns at the end of the age (Matthew 24:9-13;23-26, 2 Thess 2:1-12, 1 Timothy 4:1-2, etc.) rather than physical tribulation like wars and earthquakes and such.

Other scripture indicates that people will mostly be going about their normal every day activities before Jesus comes rather than their being total chaos with wars and natural disasters and such going on throughout the world (Matthew 24:37-39, Luke 17:26-30).

Why would you not interpret the book of Revelation accordingly? Interpreting it as saying earthquakes and other plagues will be the signs that the end is near contradicts what Jesus said in the Olivet Discourse and contradicts what Paul indicated in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.
