Not my ways, Jesus's Ways "forever and ever" ! Do you also reject Jesus God?75 years old ... set in your ways forever and ever.
No, just the concept of eternal hell. Not my ways, Jesus's Ways "forever and ever" ! Do you also reject Jesus God?
It's not just a "concept". Jesus said it's FACT! Have you never read the NT?No, just the concept of eternal hell.
Goodnight Jack and goodbye. It's not just a "concept". Jesus said it's FACT! Have you never read the NT?
Jude 1Goodnight Jack and goodbye.
Since you avoid context, Let us paraphrase Luke 16 :)And it insists that the eternal Hell fire is real! The rich man died but was very much alive and tormented in the fire.
Luke 16
19 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' 25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
The doctrine of hell aside, if you believe that scripture is contradictory, why are you on a christian website? My username is @St. SteVen
The context does not prove Jesus lied. Jesus clearly confirmed His doctrine of eternal Hell fire. The penalty for removing this doctrine from the Bible may be quite severe!Since you avoid context, Let us paraphrase Luke 16 :)
Jesus was telling the disciples a parable Luke 16:1And he said also unto his disciples,
The Parable of the Unrighteous Steward
Jesus is then interrupted by Pharisees
Luke 16:14 The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all of this and were scoffing at Jesus. 15So He said to them,
A story of a rich man who, if he was a pharisee, a believer of hell :)
Brilliant. Jesus roasts a pharisee in his own hell. :)
Doesn't address the 3 Biblical but contrary views, does it?Matthew 25
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Revelation 20
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Contrary to Jesus?Doesn't address the 3 Biblical but contrary views, does it?
To inform you that scripture is contradictory. - LOLThe doctrine of hell aside, if you believe that scripture is contradictory, why are you on a christian website?
Jesus is a person, not a Biblical doctrine. And repeating the one verse STILL does not address the 3 views identified in the OP.Contrary to Jesus?
Jack, Jesus did not lie. The hell doctrine proof text has been refuted by the Scriptures and a logical explanation of the complete chapter. Jesus confirmed immortality offered by God to His sons. It is the modern day pharisee who dare impugn Father's Love and Character. The context does not prove Jesus lied. Jesus clearly confirmed His doctrine of eternal Hell fire. The penalty for removing this doctrine from the Bible may be quite severe!
Revelation 22
If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. You're on dangerous ground.
Matthew 5
Whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
It takes faith in God and his word, something you seem to lack.To inform you that scripture is contradictory. - LOL
Any questions?
Where did you get the idea that scripture is NOT contradictory?
If "eternal punishment" is error then "eternal life" must be error.Jesus is a person, not a Biblical doctrine. And repeating the one verse STILL does not address the 3 views identified in the OP.
Well gee, all of our Bibles say you're wrong.Jack, Jesus did not lie. The hell doctrine proof text has been refuted by the Scriptures and a logical explanation of the complete chapter. Jesus confirmed immortality offered by God to His sons. It is the modern day pharisee who dare impugn Father's Love and Character.
If I may say, you always seem to avoid completing the Scriptural thought, You quoted Revelation 22:19 but forgot to mention verse 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Jack, hell is a foreign false concept that is not belong in the Scriptures. Trust in your love of your Father not the tongue of the dragon.
I know my words are wanting but rest assured I mindful of the Scriptures. In fact I insisted to speak only with logical deduction to avoid debasing such beautiful literary pearls of the Scripture. :)
I faithfully paraphrased Luke 16 and showed you your error. Please reason through your sin.
On that note, here's a quote to study:) Jesus really did not like the pharisee doctrines.
Matthew 23:15
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
I've never seen draught horses on a race track and race horses pulling a plough is probably not a possibility.Well gee, all of our Bibles say you're wrong.
And I hope you don't see this:I've never seen draught horses on a race track and race horses pulling a plough is probably not a possibility.
