Then where is Jesus now?
Hello @Moriah's Song,

Christ Jesus the risen Lord is at God's right hand in the heavenlies, far above all principality, power, might and dominion. A position of great power and authority. He is our great high Priest, our Intercessor.

Praise God!

The Church which is His Body, await His appearing, when they will also appear with Him in glory, for He is their life.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Christ

That is not a strawman argument; it is a "put-down" and a diversion tactic in order to ignore the truth of that thought. Denying that Jesus is not eternal is a whole different ballgame and has extremely serious end times consequences to it.

Only his humanity dies Christ is eternal

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Mat 1:23..."Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel" (which means, God with us).Luk 1:31...And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.

Emmanuel = God with us = his name is Jesus.
So tell me what Bible you use that says Mat 1:23 and Lu 1:31 differently.
This is not in Scripture.
Then prove it.

Hello @theefaith,

'Therefore doth My Father love Me,
because I lay down My life,
that I might take it again.
No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.
I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.
This commandment have I received of My Father.'

'Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent He,
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The hour is coming, and now is,
when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God:
and they that hear shall live.
For as the Father hath life in Himself;
so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself;
And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also,
because He is the Son of man.'

(Joh 5:24-27)

Praise God!

God breathed life into Adam, gen 2:7 and we received this life from our fathers!

Christ breathed on the apostles our spiritual fathers, we receive the new covenant life of God’s grace from them thru faith & baptism! Jn 20:21-23 Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38

only God gives life!

I already have proved it.
Once again you side-step everything that you are unable to prove through scripture. So, if you already have "proved it" from scripture then what was the # of the post so I can read it there?
So tell me what Bible you use that says Mat 1:23 and Lu 1:31 differently.

Mat 1:23..."Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel" (which means, God with us).

Emmanuel = God with us = his name is Jesus.

You are projecting. It is you who have failed to prove this claim

Guess what. The son of God was not called Emmanuel. You are so desperate to proof your heresy. Sad.

This conversation is going nowhere. I’ll let you have the last word.

I already have proved it. You just don’t have ears to hear.

Jesus has many names!

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Lk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

His body lay in the grave (sheol/Hades - or 'the place of the dead') until it was quickened by the Spirit,
That is a serious misunderstanding of the afterlife. The body of Christ lay in the tomb of Joseph or Arimathea. That was NOT Sheol/Hades. So you need to get a proper understanding of Sheol/Hades. The soul and spirit of Christ were in Sheol/Hades and that is also where all the souls and spirits of both the OT saints and the unsaved dead were -- "in the heart of the earth" or "in the lower parts of the earth" (but separated by a huge chasm). And that is exactly where Christ preached to the spirits in prison. So that is the only way that one can understand this passage:

ACTS 2: THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
[Note: Christ knew He would rise again after three days]
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [Note: the KJV translators should not have inserted "hell" for Hades. Hell is Gehenna, the Lake of Fire]
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Men
and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in Hades, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

He was "quickened by the Spirit" or "made alive by the Spirit" at His resurrection. The Bible says that the Father raised Christ, the Holy Spirit raised Christ, and Christ also raised Himself. This was the combined work of the triune Godhead.

The son of God was not called Emmanuel.
You are outright in defiance of God's Holy Word. You have no defence against those two verses and that is why you are running and hiding.
Guess what. The son of God was not called Emmanuel.
That is a boldface lie and denial because you have no proof whatsoever.
You are so desperate to proof your heresy. Sad.
It is not MY heresey, it is your blaspheme against the Holy Spirit that your heresetical "opinion" of mankind leads you downhill - along with whoever it is that you follow. But for certain it is not God's Word; Jesus.

You are projecting. It is you who have failed to prove this claim
Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Imman'u-el.(k)
(k)
That is God is with us

Matthew 1:21-23 - "...she will bear a son and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people* from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

"Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and his name shall be called Emmanuel"
(which means, God with us)."

Luke 1:31- 34 - "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob * forever; and of his kingdom there will be not end." ...And the angel said to [Mary], "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born [of you] will be called holy, the son of God.

Luk 4:34 - "Ah! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God."

*Psa 46:7 - The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Add them up:
  • Isaiah, God's prophet said..."His name is Emmanuel"
    • Luke: His name is Jesus
    • He will be called "Son of the Most High"
    • the child to be born [of you] will be called holy, the son of God.
    • Others called Jesus "the Holy One of God."
    • Yet again, the prophets said of Jesus...The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
**************************************

(αὐτός = His) (ὄνομα = name) αὐτοῦ (Ἐμμανουήλ = Immanuel) (ὅ = which) (ἐστιν = means) (μεθερμηνευόμενον = translated)
(μεθ = with) (ἡμῶν = us) (ὁ = see Strong's Def.) θεός/God

Strong’s Definitions - ὁ ho, ho; - the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):—the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.

Add them up:

If one wants to, one can synthesize any doctrine by this procedure. Hardly proof.

Isaiah, God's prophet said..."His name is Emmanuel"

Given that his name is NOT Emmanuel (but Jesus), it Scripturally proves the opposite of what you claim.

Beyond your idolatrous commitment to your heresy, I don’t know why you don’t get this.

Have a nice day.

Hi MS
I don't particularly enjoy speaking to the other poster...
However, I would like to tell You something I've already told him but he has not studied this at all apparently.

Emmanuel is a title.
Jesus is a name.

Simple as that.
Easy to read up on this.
These days we have Prof. Google.
;)
