He absolutely DOES differentiate.

God doesn’t want us to exalt ourselves.
He rewards his faithful servants with exalting them (Luke 1:52, Luke 14:7-11).

He told the Apostles not to exhalt themselves – but they were venerated by the faithful. The bones of Elisha were venerated and instrumental in bringing a dead man back to life (2 Kings 13:21).

How do you know who is saved or not saved are what authority do you have to judge who is saved and who is not saved? You are not Jesus Christ and even your Bible states that it is not up to humans to judge others. As far as graven images, if you read the rest of it, it states not to create them and worship the image itself as a God. In the Catholic Church, the statues of Mary and the saints as well as pictures of them are to honor them just like there are statues of our Founding Fathers in the United States in honor of them. Mount Rushmore is one example of honor and recognition to the first four presidents of the United States. It is also the exact same thing as recognizing someone who is Valedictorian or Neil Armstrong as being the first man on the moon. We pray for Mary and the Saints to pray to God for us and intercede for us. It is only sinful if you make a statue and believe the statue itself is a God with divine powers, in which we Catholics DO NOT do. As for me, I believe what Martin Luther and John Calvin preached during the Reformation in the 1500s is heresy and is something that I completely reject as false teachings. Not to mention, there is a statue at Christ of the Ozarks in Eureka Springs, Arkansas of Jesus Christ himself. The first commandment already prohibits worshiping idol so the second commandment is thou shalt not take the Lord thy God's Name in vain.. The Nineth commandment of thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife and tenth commandment of thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods is two separate commandments because someone's wife is a separate person and not property. As far as the question, "Am I saved" is concerned, this is something you have to take up with God and pray to God about and get the answer from God himself.
