St. SteVen said:
I believe that Jesus performed miracles in his humanity
As a human, so you believe he parted the Sea of Galilee , by human strength ..?

How did he exactly part that sea?
Hmm... I'm not familiar with that event. (send help)

Jesus did walk on the water and calm a storm on the Sea of Galilee.
He invited Peter to walk on the water. Those in the boat said this.

Matthew 14:32-33 NIV
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying,
“Truly you are the Son of God.”

I’m still trying to get my head round this trinity business @David in NJ .

If Jesus is God, why doesn’t he know about this?
Jesus knew this, we know by what he said
Also Jesus is seated with God at his right hand, how can that make him God?

What Jesus is seated at his right hand, is it Jesus that walked the earth, only he now has a glorified body?

Matthew 24:36
Audio Crossref Comment Greek
Verse (Click for Chapter)
New International Version
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

New Living Translation
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

English Standard Version
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

Berean Standard Bible
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father
He became lower than a man.. so he could pay for our sins..

6. God's eternal name is YHWH, not Jesus, and he is referred to using singular pronouns 1,000's of times.
Interestingly God's name, YHVH, appears about 6940 times in the Old Testament, which is more often than the word God, which only appears 2694 times (in the WEB).

Christ always did what pleased the Father, Christ never sinned, therefore the Father always heard Him

If God hears us, then we have whatever we have asked of Him

I John 5

13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, [a]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Jesus Predicts His Departure

21 Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”

22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?”

23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

25 Then they said to Him, “Who are You?”

And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.”

27 They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father.

28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift[m] up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” 30 As He spoke these words, many believed in Him.

Yes. It was God's will, God's design and plan, and God chose that His beloved Son should implement His plan, just a a human father would delight in teaching his young son how to create something. Colossians 1:12-20 (Updated American Standard Version - UASV+):

(12) giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in the light.
(13) For he rescued us from the authority of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
(14) in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
(15) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
(16) For by him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through him and for him.
(17) And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
(18) And he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
(19) For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fullness dwell,
(20) and through him to reconcile all things unto himself [God, the Father], having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.
But this beloved son helped create the heavens and the earth. All the way Back in Gen 1. you have the work of the son.

the son also helped to create adam and eve in his image

God is immortal, so He cannot die. His only begotten Son was not immortal - Jesus could die. Jesus humbly prayed to God that after his death that God would restore him to the glory that he had before the creation of the world - John 17:5 (WEB):
I already answered this before.

remember,

1. God can not die. So God had to enter a human body to taste death
2. God can not sin, So God had to be fully human able to sin.
3. God can not feel physical pain. So God had to enter a human body to suffer pain
4. God can not be tempted. so God had to enter a human body to be tempted all ways as we are. yet be without sin.

Phil 2: 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross

That’s exactly what I believe, Jesus is not Gods equal, he can’t be, imo.
I agree.
God the Father is over all.
Jesus was obedient to the Father.

Even in His ministry, Jesus watched to see what the Father was doing and participated with Him.

John 5:19 NIV
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself;
he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

God the Father sets the time.

You could ask the same question about why the Holy Spirit relays info from Jesus, or the Father to us.
If the Holy Spirit is God, doesn't he already know? Not the way it works.

Same with the mind of Christ that we have. See if you can wrap your head around this scripture.
The whole Trinity is referred to. The quote is from Isaiah, so refers to God the Father.

1 Corinthians 2:15-16 NIV
The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things,
but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[a]
But we have the mind of Christ.

Isaiah 40:13 Peshitta
Who has directed the Spirit of LORD JEHOVAH
or who was Lord of Counsel to him?

i was going to use this very scripture and 'thought' last night - GLAD to SEE you bringing it FORTH

Yet, if you ask most Christian’s what the name of God is, they’ll answer Jesus.

Another proof the trinity is false.

Jesus referred to Himself as the "Son of Man." Why was this significant?

Matthew 8:20 NIV
Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

This backs UP what JESUS says to those who do not believe, but for us it is TRUTH

"No one has seen the FATHER at any time but HE who is IN the Bosom of the FATHER"

Numbers 23:19 (WEB):
(19) God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?
Malachi 3:6 (WEB):
(6) “For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

All the sins of the world were placed on Jesus on the cross, at which point God removed His holy Spirit from Jesus, and Jesus cried out - Matthew 27:46 (WEB):

(46) About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

God is holy and He would not take all mankind's sins on Himself, and make Himself unclean. It was our high priest Jesus, God's anointed Son, who took on our sins and paid the penalty for those sins (death). God did not kill Himself for those sins - He couldn't even if He wanted to!
