Of course it does, teach only what they have said or have written. Since we do not know what they said, we can ONLY go by what is written and recorded that they have said.
Ummmmm, what they said was handed down by ORAL Tradition - the same way it was handed down in the OT.

Do you actually ever READ your Bible??

Can't say for sure. Perhaps smiling to Finally see the self-proclaimed Catholic teacher in Agreement with Scripture that Jesus came to earth "AS" a human.

Phil 2
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in [B Christ Jesus: [/B]
[6] Who, being in the Form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the Form of a servant, and was made in the LIKENESS of men:
[8] And being found in fashion AS a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Now... IF you can keep this knowledge IN your Mind, You THEN
will be blessed (by the POWER of God), IN your spirit, IN your Heart, WITH the Understanding thereof that knowledge.

Glory to God,
Taken
No - I'm not going to die in the same heresy that YOU espouse.

I'll stick with orthodox Christian teaching . . .

LOL...

The Verses "IN SCRIPTURE" have nothing at all to do "WITH SCRIPTURE" ?

Your Catholic teaching gets more and more Bizarre.

Glory to God,
Taken
No, they had nothing to do with the Scriptures pertaining to the phoney, man-made fallacy of Sola Scriptura.

When you cherry-pick like that, you wind up confused and ignorant . . .

Most catholics i talk with don't even understand sola scriptura. Whenever they bring it up, they do so incorrectly. But if ss is so bad maybe they can tell us about the sorry state of their own church with an infallible (allegedly) pope? Why is there scandal on top of scandal when they are all in union under their human vicar of christ?
Because YOU don't have clue about Papal infallibility. That's why you're confused.

Soooooo, enlighten us and give us YOUR definition of Sloa Scriptura, because I've heard several . . .

Yes, but then you have to assume the same oral tradition has been handed down 2,000 years. And considering the church contradicts itself, we know that must not be the case.

WRONG.
It’s about AUTHORITY.

WRONG.
It is the power to BIND and LOOSEWHATEVER they saw fit.

WRONG.
This is to the leaders of His Church, which is a SUCCESSIVE office (Acts 1:20, 1 Tim. 2:2, 2 Tim. 1:12-14).

Absolutely.
HOWEVER – Christ gave them the power to forgive sin and HOLD them BOUND in His name.
Once again – WHATEVER they BIND and WHATEVER they LOOSE . . .

This is SUPREME earthly Authority.
You really should get out of the church (which is not infallible) dogma and actually learn to study the Scriptures.

WRONG.

The Church doesn’t contradict herself. Can you give me an example??
Christ guaranteed that even the gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church. Can YOU tell me when they DID prevail and all was lost??
Because, if that’s the case - then Jesus lied . . .

Sooooooo, no actual refutation of what I posted. Just another cowardly hit-and-run comment.

Pretty much what I expected . . .

It's pointless to try and argue with this because you will just say that at the time of the contradiction the pope or bishop was not speaking with infallibility which is a pretty convenient cop-out.

How is that relevant to this discussion? The gates of Hell will not prevail against the true church which is the body of believers, not a man-made organization that calls itself the true church.

Your comments have already revealed the Truth, and now you want to DENY what you said?

Funny. You would rather NOT be found in heresy by your church, than be found in the Truth by God.

Facinating where your FEAR is settled.

The Pope is not infallible in everything he says. That’s a complete misunderstanding of infallibility.

For example - I wouldn’t necessarily take his advice on who will win the Superbowl
HOWEVER, in matters of teaching faith and morals, he cannot err or contradict himself or an official Church teaching.

So – if you can show me an example of this – I’m ALL ears. Otherwise – don’t make claims you can’t back up . . .

Like I said before - WHERE is all of your supppprt??

EVERY SINGLE Protestant Christian here has abandoned your side because you preached heresy about Christ's humanity.

This isn't about ME being Catholic. It's about YOU having abandoned Christianity . . .

Dear David,

One does not have to assume. There is documented evidence of that same oral tradition being handed down.
Further, we have 2 or 3 living witnesses to that oral tradition in Rome, in Alexandria, in Constantinople...

You too! Are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

Christ is risen!
Alleluia!

I stick with Scripture and where the church goes against Scripture I go against the Roman Catholic Church.
