Yes, I was replying to Jay about the fundamental two factors in determining when the deadline could be determined for Jesus's return to begin the 1000 year millennium.

I was speaking in very concise terms. - which you are interpreting as me defining a generation, and not how long it would be before the people making up that generation would pass.
LOL!!!! You are so incredibly dishonest. You said "how long is a generation. Psalms 90:10, three score and ten. 70 years". So, you were defining a generation ("this generation") to last for 70 years based on a faulty interpretation of Psalm 90:10 which only referes to the human life span and not to the duration of a generation. Your beilef that "this generation" spans from 1967 to 2037 is based on you making up a new definition of the word generation that you can't find in any dictionary.

The numbers I posted of 1948 +70 = 2018 have expired, meaning that the fig tree cannot represent Israel.

But the fig tree representing Jerusalem, 1967 +70 = 2030 is still valid. Which also indicates that Gog/Magog should take place before the end of 2030.
No, it is not valid at all because it's based on a faulty nonexistent definition of the word generation which you are too stubborn and dishonest to admit.

Why aren't you talking about the topic of this thread - of when Gog/Magog will take place ?
LOL. I can talk about whatever I want to talk about just like everyone else does. Look at any thread on this forum. Do you think every post in every thread relates to the topic of the thread? Not even close. Do you always stay on topic? No. So, don't ask me such a ridiculous question.

We haven't been interpreting Revelation properly. We are in the "thousand year" reign of Christ NOW. 2Peter 3 shows that the thousand years as a day (while it is still called toDAY) is the time of His longsuffering which we are to account as salvation (this age of grace which when souls may be saved...again while it is still called toDAY as the bible says elsewhere) .

And Jesus said His kingdom comes not with our careful observation that you may say lo here or lo there, but it is within/among us. On the contrary, those who would say lo here it is, or lo there, as if it is a kingdom to be seen with our physical eyes are not to be followed or believed.

Read Luke 17:20-30 carefully. Looking for a utopian kingdom on this earth is what tripped up the Jewish leaders and Pharisees concerning what they expected their Messiah to accomplish. Jesus in the passage below attempted to correct them on this. No earthly utopian kingdom is to be expected at the coming of Christ because this world is all going to be destroyed at His coming, which 2 Peter 3 also says.

Luk 17:20-30

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
The thousand year reign of Christ on earth with his saints happens AFTER the physical resurrection of the dead in Christ which happens at the last day and at the last trump. The saints will be given gloried bodies, this of course has not happened yet.

These verses alone prove AMIL
to be FALSE doctrine.

Revelation 5:9-10

King James Version

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign (((on the earth.)))

This is showing the first resurrection and judgment of the saints at the last day.

Revelation 20:4-6

King James Version

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The scriptures all agree WHEN the saints will posses the kingdoms of this world.

Daniel 7:22
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and ((the time came))that the saints possessed the kingdom.

The timing confirmed…

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”

This is when the kingdoms of this world BECOME the kingdoms of God and of Christ….

Revelation 11:15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

More proof….

“Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, (((and filled the whole earth.)))

“But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

When does the Bible say that death is destroyed?

Much love!
At that last trumpet which is when Jesus returns and we inherit eternal life with immortal bodies in the kingdom of God in the eternal new heavens and new earth.

1 Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Your Premil false doctrine has 1,000+ years occurring after the last day. At least for Amil, the last day is just that. The last day of history. The last day is the day of judgment (John 12:48) which occurs AFTER the thousand years (and Satan's little season) as seen in Revelation 20:11-15.

As far as I can see it is at the judgment which is at the return of Christ....Rev. 20:13-14

Correct. I will explain more...

The first death is the spiritual death which all of us must suffer. The second death is the wages of sin (punishment) that all will suffer who have NOT had part in the First Resurrection. So exactly what is the first resurrection?

Revelation 2:11
  • He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 20:6
  • Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
The first resurrection in Christ is being BORN AGAIN with the Holy Spirit that made us alive from the spiritual death that we all receive from Adam. The chosen Elect will not go through the second death (Lake of Fire) which is the wages of sin, because we are already washed clean of sin in Christ. However, the unsaved people who have not yet experienced the first resurrection (regeneration in the spirit) must suffer the Second Death. All of them who have not been written in the Book of Life, will be cast into the Lake of Fire which is the Second Death.

So you are correct, Lizbeth that the destruction of death will take place at Judgment day "after" all unsaved people are thrown into the Lake of Fire:

1Co 15:25-26
  • For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
  • The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

The last enemy to be destroyed is death. How?

Rev 20:13-15
  • And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
  • And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
  • And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The Death will be destroyed and we, Elect, will live forever in our spiritual bodies that cannot die.

Blessings.

Not true.

Revelation 5:9-10

King James Version

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign (((on the earth.)))

You are correct! God has already made us, Elect, kings and priests, ON EARTH, to preach the Gospel to the world! Right now and it has been since Pentecost! This is when we got the First Resurrection in Christ, when we receive the Holy Spirit and authority to represent Christ on Earth.

Act 1:8
  • But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Rev 11:3
  • And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
We, Elect, are the Two Witnesses that God empowered and sent to the world to preach. So yes, we already rule with Christ in HIS KINGDOM on Earth as kings and priests to share His Word with the world. Not something that will happen in the future after Christ's second coming, or else we are NOT saved today. Crazy!

This is showing the first resurrection and judgment of the saints at the last day.

Incorrect, you got everything confused.

FIRST DEATH: Spiritual Death in Adam by his disobedience (bringing the unrealized wrath of God). This brought upon all men after Adam.

Rom 5:12
  • Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

FIRST RESURRECTION: Raised from Spiritual Death in Christ (born again).

1Co 15:22
  • For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Colossians 2:12
  • "Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."
1st Thessalonians 1:10
  • "And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come."
All people who have been born again will be make alive in Christ and work for him on EARTH to preach the Gospel. If they physically dead, they will immediately go up into Heaven and continue reign with Christ while their body rots in the grave. But those who have not yet born again, their soul will remain in the grave as explain below:

SECOND RESURRECTION: ALL unsaved men in the grave who have not yet received their first resurrection (born again) will raise up to stand before Son of Man on Judgment Day.

Psalms 115:17-18
  • "The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
  • But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD."
All unsaved people, who are the "rest of the dead" do not live, they cannot speak, they cannot feel, they cannot hear, because they have NO CONSCIOUS EXISTENCE upon physical death UNTIL they are raised up from that death in what is this second Resurrection. That is when "these" souls will face the wrath of God for their sins.

SECOND DEATH: Spiritual Death (bringing the realized Wrath of God).

All unsaved people go into Lake of Fire as Second Death where the death will also cast into.

3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.

I'd say this is when death is defeated, though after the 1,000 years following Jesus physical return to earth.

Much love!

Again, you misunderstand this with litral physical city, literal old men and old women, literal streets of Jesualem, etc. You are missing the point. The city, Jersualem, which God illustrated was the Old Testament congregation of God, is no more. It was brought to ruin or desolation, and the New Testament congregation of God is in a rebuilding. Why it is it even debatable, I can only fathom because of a lack of reading, understanding and grace!

God has already brought again the captivity, already rebuilt and made the streets of the Holy city full of children, already brought people from the east and west to be His people in the city. It's just that some, like you, are so enamored by the outward forest that they cannot see the spiritual trees.

Acts 15:14-17
  • "Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
  • And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
  • After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
  • That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things."
The tabernacle representing the spiritual (not physical) house of God, and how it is rebuilt in the person of Christ, the progeny of David and true heir to David's kingdom and throne. Once more, illustrating a spiritual house rather than a earthly or literal one. Every stone was brought to ruin in the old house because it was totally done away with, and the rebuilding in the New Testament church...with a lively stones!

Selah!

half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.”

Revelation 22

King James Version

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

47 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

13 Thus saith the Lord God; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.

5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.

7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lordliveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

8 But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.”

FULFILLED!

Zechariah 14:8
  • "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be."
Christ is that living waters that went out from Jerusalem. This is talking about Him going forth to Jew and Gentile. The former and hinder pertains to the "first and the last" that Christ references in His sermons, as it relates to salvation first to the Jews and also to the Gentiles. Half of the living water (salvation) went back to Old Testament Congregation and half of the Living water went forth to the New Testament Congregation. The Hebrew word "former" illustrating the Jews being the former or first of the sea, and the word "hinder" being those who come after or behind. In other words, the last. The living waters now go out to all the world, Jew and Gentile, and this seems also to be illustrated in the context of verse that follows.

Zechariah 14:9
  • "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."
There is no longer the division of Jew and Gentile, but we are all ONE Israel, one body of Christ and one Lord, the Saviour of all the earth. The spiritual congregaiton of Israel! Not physical city Jersualem. Those who were before not His people, will now be His people.

Ephesians 4:4-6
  • "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
  • One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
  • One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
So Zechariah 14:8 is primarily addressing "that" mystery revealed here, namely, that salvation is going forth to all the world, and is not primarily just for the Jews. And the kingdom of Israel is extended to the whole world so that both the former and latter sea is nourished by these living waters that go out from Jerusalem under one Lord Jesus Christ.

Receive this Truth, if you have spiritual ears to hear!

41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

42 For thus saith the Lord; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

43 And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the Lord

Crazy!
Exactly. It's very strange how he emphasizes the reigning of the priests and kings on earth, but seems to completely ignore that it says we have been MADE kings and priests now. So, the reigning has to present tense since we are on the earth NOW and have already been MADE priests and kings. Only doctrinal bias can keep someone from seeing this.

6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

10 Thus saith the Lord; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.

12 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the Lord.

14 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lordour righteousness.

27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.

28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

30 Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God.

31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

I haven't got hold of everything in Rev yet, but one thing I realized is that we err if we try to interpret earlier scrips working backwards from Rev. We need rather to interpret Rev in light of all the scriptures that were written before.

31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
