No one knows what it is but it’s not simply symbolic. You can’t buy or sell without it. That means people can see it or detect it somehow.
Or that it means to be apart of the society

Scripture can’t contradict scripture Jesus blood is enough to cover taking a literal mark

The whole of scripture is greater than the sum of its individual passages. You can not comprehend the bible as a whole without comprehending its individual passages and you cannot comprehend its individual passages without comprehending the bible as a whole. The individual passages can never be interpreted in a way as to conflict the whole of scripture

The above method is the best way to interpret scripture especially prophecy

Of course the heart has to match it but are you really saying that Jesus blood can’t cover willful sin?

We all at one time willfully sin and then repent and turn away
For willful, use the word arrogant, proud, obstinate, presumptuous, rebellious. Willful isn't a result of temptation or deception, but particularly this applies to the mark of the beast because at that time, everyone on the planet will know absolutely that accepting the mark is beyond any doubt, a choice against God and His authority over your life. That state of affairs is not yet evident as there are many who are still uninformed as to the truth of who the beast is, and what his mark is and it's significance.
These threads are essential in bringing understanding to everyone who is willing to learn and have a love for truth. Sadly, many Christians even, aren't listening. They have already settled into a variety of deceptions and lies (as this thread has proven), but the holy Spirit will, when the time comes, open people's minds to the truth, and their future decisions will either be based on their love for truth or their despising of Christ's claims on their lives. This decision will be a form of blasphemy against the holy Spirit because they chose despite knowing the truth and the Spirit's convictions. That is unforgivable for the only reason that such choices are final. Such choices lock the individual into only one possible destiny.

I don’t know where you went to seminary but what you have been taught or taught yourself about the mark of the beast is in error.

Here's a scenario... The global Babylonian apostate church, in union with all world governments, establishes a doctrine in harmony with what they espouse as being for "the common good". This doctrine is an essential belief of the vast majority of members of this church, and due to public pressure as a result of increasing disasters and desperation to please the God they believe is punishing and judging mankind for ignoring said doctrine, imposes the doctrine on all the world. This must be an observance of some type, one to which people will swear allegiance to and actively practise, and if not, will be cut off from all banking and associated services... Which it is very easy to do, and will be more so as cash is abandoned and the global financial system established.

Such a scenario has been accomplished in the past at various stages in history, and in localized areas. Today, everything is global, and the strictures, perhaps first warnings, then fines, prison, financial destitution, and finally death, will persuade many to accept.

It will seem like a good idea. How can you buy illegal drugs or stolen property if there is no cash and no other monetary system? What would there be to rob? It will sound good.

"let him understand" means it is symbolic.

Paul defines what the temple of God is:

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Adam is the man of sin, and he lives in God's temple.
So we live inside each other's bodies? That is a strange interpretation.

You may be living in another human's body, but not me.

And of course everyone already knows the main theme in the book of Revelation is how the Antichrist will outlaw sabbath keeping. That's all through the book, especially a lot of it mentioned in the middle of the book. Don't go to any church services on a Sunday or you are going to hell! You have been warned!

Without a rapture, if you can never lose your salvation, what happens to a believer who takes the mark of the beast? Lose salvation?
Believer is one thing.
It simply means a person has heard the Word of God (called enlightenment), and is believing what he has heard.
At any time that person can doubt, believe, doubt, wonder, be influenced by hearing words other than Gods Word and consider believing other words.
Their HOPE (to Become Saved) rests on Believing IN the Lord God at the moment of their mortal bodily Death.
* Their HOPE comes with a WARNING...wicked men and evil spirits roam the earth searching for the vacillating and vulnerable to convince them their Doubt of God is justified and to continue Doubting is Wise.
* IF they are in a moment of Doubt, Disbelieve at their moment of mortal bodily Death, they will not be Saved.
* Definitely IF they were influenced to receive the Mark of the Beast; that is an express pledged allegiance Against God, and they will not be Saved.

Salvation for every man has been PAID FOR.
Salvation for every man has been OFFERED to every man.
Salvation is A GIFT, that an individual “MUST TAKE”, in order to HAVE it.
Losing Salvation means, NEVER HAVING “TAKEN” the Gift.

It’s a parallel to the foreshadow of Adam in the Garden of Eden.
He was offered the TREE OF LIFE to eat of it’s fruit.
The Tree of Life was readily available sitting in the midst of the Garden.
He did not once reach out and TAKE from the TREE of LIFE.
Even as Adam was being escorted OUT of the Garden, and passed by the TREE of LIFE, he did NOT reach out and TAKE of the TREE of LIFE, which was freely and expressly provided for him.

Glory to God,
Taken

Amen! Also the mark will be in the right hand or forehead. Not everyone has a right hand, but everyone has a head. Not being able to buy or sell without out the mark means that the mark is read through whatever means will be used at the time and could very well be similar to the way groceries are scanned at the check out line in the supermarket.

The mark of the beast is a mark that will be placed on a person’s forehead or right hand in the end times as a sign of allegiance to the Antichrist (Revelation 13:15–18). Further, no one will be allowed to engage in commerce without the mark (Revelation 13:17). It appears that some form of worship of the Antichrist is associated with receiving the mark (Revelation 14:9; 16:2), and those who refuse to worship the image of the beast will be killed (Revelation 13:15).

The question then arises as to whether a person who has received the mark of the beast can be forgiven. The answer to this question seems to be “no.” Revelation 14:10–11, describing the fate of someone who takes the mark of the beast, declares, “He also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

The eternal destiny of those who take the mark of the beast is the lake of fire. Why is taking the mark of the beast a damnable sin against God? Why would God condemn a person to hell for taking the mark of the beast? It would appear that taking the mark of the beast will be a blasphemous act of willful defiance against God. Receiving the mark of the beast is essentially worshiping Satan. Those who take the mark have made the choice to serve Satan rather than obey God and receive Christ as Savior. When people make that decision during the tribulation, God will grant their request to be eternally separated from Him Source. So how do you explain satanist who have repented and turned to Jesus today or Paul who tried to wipe out the church?

Do you see how your view falls apart? Gods grace doesn’t change it can only be an unrepentant devotion to satan the scriptures prove it let scripture interpret scripture

The mark on the forehead is the proof of your devotion and the mark on the hand is the proof of what you do just like in the verses below isn’t a literal mark

Ephesians 1:11-14
11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritanceuntil the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory

And how would someone at a grocery store that doesn't know you or your family going to know whether you serve the beast or not? There won't be any mark on the forehead or right hand for them to identify.

It says you can't buy unless you have the mark so if the mark is unforgivable, God will be dam-ing people for buying food in the GT.

If they take the MoB HE will = HE said so.

Denying the words of Christ in Revelation comes from a spirit of error = this is the dangerous path you are on.

There is a spirit of error that misleads christians into false teachings.

The Apostle John wrote this by the Holy Spirit: 1 John 4:6
"We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."

What spirit are you currently listening to.....? = not the Holy Spirit = be careful how you handle God's words.

Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words,
lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar.

Okay when the day comes you go ahead and take the mark (because you’re sure you’ll be forgiven). I’m not going to take that chance.

John McArthur, under the spirit of error, believes God will forgive those who take the MoB.

It is important to note that John McArthur also speaks against the Holy Spirit in other areas of Scripture as well.
