GOD did promise the land to them and he also warned them if ye become as the inhabitants of the land
I WILL CAST you out . And HE DID . And any and all who rejected JESUS the CHRIST
wont be inheriting THE PROMISE . rather SUDDEN destruction .
Lets keep that in mind . The heavenly Kingdom will descend one day . Dont expect to see those who beleived not
and rejected CHRIST anywhere near that KINGDOM . The lake of fierce fire and destruction will be their place of torment .
So my advice remains , GET ANYONE outta interfaith and remind all of the dire absolute necessary NEED
to BELIEVE JESUS is the CHRIST . Turn the world upside down WITH THE TRUE GOSPEL
and be not as many who sell anti christs interfaith . Cause they will not EVER attain the very peace n safety

so i would say this is prety harsh punishment for a nation that disobeyed God to the point he punished them 7 times over..

You see God is not done with Israel. even then. And the prophets show. as shown here. they will repent. and God will restore them, and bring them back to their land when they have repented and he will be there God.

The prophecy of Jeremiah 30 is regarding "the time of Jacob's (not Israel's) trouble." Meaning that time when the children of Jacob came to crucify their Messiah sent to them. Which spiritually, the noted difference between Jacob and Israel by name, is to say: before--before Israel was saved by the coming of Messiah, just as Jacob was before God previously "changed" in name only. The name change itself was a prophecy, which Jeremiah elaborated upon.

The noted change, regards their being raised up "in Christ", at long last--"up to Zion, to the Lord our God" (Jeremiah 31:6). Which then is the context and setting in verses 7-14. Thus, it is not a prophecy of a worldly event, but heavenly.
