Why don't you just relax and have a good vacation? The forum will still be here when you get home. :)
That doesn’t fix the situation where I’m being completely misrepresented, explanations I spend lots of time typing up are ignored, and... this is beyond frustrating.

It has been shown on this forum how some Mormon doctrine blatantly contradicts Bible doctrine; therefore, it is anti-biblical. This has been shown from LDS scriptures and other LDS materials, including quotes from the founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith, as well as from other LDS leaders.

I pray that you will come out of the darkness into God's glorious light and see the truth about LDS doctrine!
The Book of Mormon has MANY historical errors and mistakes in it, as do the so called Joseph Smith Kjv revision!

That's true, and I have said as much in threads about some of the groups that you list in your post. This thread is not about those groups.

I don't place groups who get some of their main doctrine from sources other than the Bible--doctrine that blatantly runs contrary to Bible doctrine--in the same category as Christian denominations that get their doctrine from various aspects of Bible doctrine.
That is one of the sure marls of a cult, having religious founder/leader seen as having infallible theology, and seeing themselves as only true church, such as both Mormons and JW do!

probably due to you expressing theology and doctrines contrary to what Mormonism actually jolds with!

The reserve actually.

The major irony of this statement.

So does the Catholic church going by your definition. The Pope is the leader of the Catholic church seen as having infallible theology. And the Catholic church believes that it's the only one true church and it's the only one that you can get saved at, no other church. Fact check me on the Catholic Church's website.

Yes, many do see the Church of Rome as being largest Cult in the world, but would also state that there are many saved catholics, saved by the Grace of God, despite nad doctrines and theology being taught!

*feeling incredible frustration*

Indeed, I feel it here for you sister!

"Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase" I Cor 3:5-7

What Paul wrote here with regard to himself and to Apollos also applies today. God alone gives the increase. People may be and really often are wrong in the way they present what they have determined through their studies of scripture to be truth. Don't be surprised if your own knowledge of the scriptures and logic does not faze them. At the end Jesus was walking to the cross alone.

All of the thousands who had listened to his words, all of the 70, and even all of the 12 were gone, but He kept on walking to the cross because it was God's will. Too often people decide what God's will is without listening for and hearing His voice. Logic can be a good thing, but sometimes following it too closely takes away from God's will. Help us dear Lord!

Praying for God's will for you!

I know that this will most likely fall on deaf ears, but I'll explain it anyways. If anyone wants me to cite sources here, just ask:

If you talking Christology, here's a comparative blurb--

LDS Christians and Athanasian Christians (aka Christians that believe the Athanasian Creed) both believe:
Every single word about Christ in the Bible.
The Son of God, Jesus Christ is 100% divine.
The Father is 100% divine.
The Holy Spirit is 100% divine.
The Father, Son, and Spirit are all without beginning nor end.
The Father is not the Son, nor vice verse. Christ doesn’t pray to Himself. Neither of them are the Spirit. They are 3 different persons.
The Father, Son, and Spirit together are 1 God (are monotheists).
Christ was/is the great I Am, the Only Begotten Son of God.
Christ was one with the Father before the Earth was created. He then created the Earth, was born of a virgin, lived a mortal life with lots of suffering, took the world’s sins upon Himself, died on a cross, rose again on the 3rd day, later rose to heaven, and is coming back again.

The difference comes in:
LDS Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are 1 God through unity.
Athanasian Christians believe that the Father, Son, and Spirit are 1 God through consubstantiation (Consubstantiality - Wikipedia).

What difference does this make in the day to day:
Very little. Realistically, a lot of people sitting in Trinitarians pews have never even heard of the Athanasian Creed. This is a level of deeper theology which doesn’t affect day-to-day.

If you want to specifically about the Father:
Like Athanasian Christians, LDS Christians believe that the Spirit is a person of Spirit. The Son has a spirit, which inhabits a body of flesh, once mortal but now resurrected and glorified. Obviously having the body in no way diminishes the Son's glory or Godliness. The Bible is mute on to the specifics of the Father. Athanasian Christians generally believe that He's like the Spirit (just a spirit), LDS Christians that He's like the Son (a spirit in a gloried body).

If you want to talk salvation:
LDS Christians believe that salvation is a gift from God, received via faith. You don't get it via "works" or "earning" it-- such an idea is laughably impossible. However, faith without works is indeed dead, as a disciple of Christ should indeed strive to follow Him -- empowered by Him, and with repentance when screw ups happen. LDS Christians very firmly believe this.

If you want to talk crown in Heaven:
LDS Christians do indeed believe that Christ's atonement is miraculously powerful as to take crimson strained wretched sinners and transform them into pure white perfected saints of the Lord. 100% pure white, even as He is and joint-heirs with Christ. God's atonement is just that incredible. Even when fully crowned and as perfected as He is, obviously the Father will always be the Father, and the Savior still our Savior. Just is a testament to God's majesty, and should never be trivialized or cartoon-ized... such is just disrespectful to God.

Fact check me on the Catholic Church's website

.... All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church.

You can find that here: Catechism of the Catholic Church - IntraText

Peace be with you!

Mormonism holds to 3 Gods, one in purpose, that Jesus and Lucifer were spirit brothers, that God has a celestial Wife, that Mormon men can became gods, just not Christianity!

@JesusFan1 , I literally just covered the actual facts of these topics, and you... suffice it to say that you've convinced me that you are completely not interested in having a fact-based or thoughtful conversation. So I'll quit trying with you.

Do they qualify?

Maybe Jeremiah 23:16-17 helps. Do not know if it has been brought up yet as I’ve not read the whole thread. But maybe ask do they prophesy unto you to make you vain? Do they speak a vision of their own heart.? “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. [17] They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.”

They say unto every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart ...no evil shall come upon you
^which is a lie yeah? 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down (vain, empty)imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

“...they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart” and not His.
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Another interesting (imo) connection to ‘they make you vain’ is ‘they teach for hire’ to make you slaves to their own heart and ways and every high thing that exalts itself. Micah 3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.

“...they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart” is a good test ...do they teach for hire and divine for money?

*speaking as an actual member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (nicknamed "Mormon")*

If a person is interested in making money, then joining a church where you're expected to spend several hours a week preparing & leading sermons/lessons/youth group/etc for free, is probably not what you want to do. Sermons in the LDS Church are given by lay members, all of whom have normal day jobs. The local leader is also a unpaid lay member with a regular day job, and only serves as the local leader for a few years before somebody else then takes a turn. Same with every other position in your congregation.

Was not speaking or aiming the post at Mormons. I know nothing of Mormons. What I have read of your post...I wish I could be more like you as what always stands about you is your willingness to listen to others before judging them based off their beliefs.

Only meant anything that leads to vanity, even in myself...that is why “they teach for hire” stands out, more as a question of am I guilty of doing the same? For hire, paraphrasing where the word says ...yet we have not used (abused)this power over you but instead suffer all things for your sake.
