I do believe that anybody who reads the OT should already know that God isn't opposed by the death penalty,.. but I wanted to know everybody's thoughts and opinions about it.

I'm a USA citizen and believe in the constitution. Where we protect the rights of others, even if that means stopping some from threatening the rights of other citizens.
Because of that I like the idea of stopping crimes, especially when they break the law against constitutional rights of other citizens. And the best method is to keep the criminal alive and incarcerate them so that they can't harm the constitutional rights of others. Then perhaps they can be re-rehabilitated.
Now what happens and what should we do when killers kill people when they're incarcerated? Them I believe should receive the death penalty. Isolation if it is within reason. But isolation may not be feasible such that the death penalty is necessary. Because isolation may be a naive attempt to stop them from killing.
Some people need to be killed.
That may sound evil, but well I know of some that it would of been much better that they were taken out before it came to what was to come with them killing others not to mention raping and destruction that they caused many people.
We had one moron back a few years he got out of Jail and even the Hells angels did not want him around at all, even the cops were scared of this moron and then he did kill a Cop. everyone knew that such was going to happen one day with this monster, but the lefty's demanded him be out on the streets.
I knew of a moron who was raping people all the time steeling selling drugs threating cops you name it, all the cops were scared of him and the lawyers as well and Judges and Political people as well.
The lefty's feed all the morons so as to create the problems, the cops hands are tied and criminal bikie groups getting about running loose, all a creation of the Left political full on undermining police power, I got people claiming, The Police will sort them out ! and I was saying you have to be kidding ! you moronic fool, you are dreaming. their hands are tied. wake up to yourself, why is their a problem in the first place you should ask.
I have seen this all my life, the cops run about dealing with all the small fry problems but the big problems are all to hard to deal with. don't pull up some mob of bikies because they are going to be punched in the face and whoever does such could not care as jail is not a problem, it's a 2ed home to them.
Then it comes to our Abos the same thing the Laws are set against Police truly dealing with them as well, so the Police fear truly dealing with them as they should, it's all a creation of the Left Governments and soft wealthy stupid people in our what's called the Liberal Party here that lets all such go on, so you find the left and far right rich they are fine with all the stealing going on. they have created the problems getting out of hand, the rich can afford insurance, so being robbed is no real problem to them.
So when one is up against you loosing everything you have worked for and you want to be able to shoot any bastard who comes trying to rob you, they will claim you are the monster.
They think that you are mad, what's the problem man ! They live in another world they do not care for you, they will sprout that's what insurance is for buddy ! and it comes down to this for some, well how about the government pay my insurance bill because it's higher than what I can earn. we are being left out to dry here. no insurance company will take such on and if they do they work 100% to get off from paying a cent out, you can be sure of that.

Some people have lowered themselves so much that they behave worse than animals...but I know that also good men who are actually innocent can become institutionalized by being in jail.
And several people on death row have been freed because of recently discovered evidence...kinda difficult to free a dead man.
But I also know that criminals behave worse when there is no death penalty.
So I don't know what to do.

Yeh. I don't believe in the death penalty....I really havent thought about the reasons why though. I think on the side of grace. That maybe spending life in prison can bring a man to Christ. Death penalty to Hell...I guess I feel like voting for it would do that. OT functioned differently then we do now under Christ.

I only support it in cases where there is incontrovertible proof of guilt, such as DNA. Otherwise, I oppose, lest an innocent person be put to death.

I am very much for the DP and don't believe we use it enough and we allow to many appeals that waste money
Not about the death pen, but What I have seen of people is that they are un repentant types, and people who are about to go up before the beak I have seen them, many a time they are looking for the easy way out with the lawyer, they are not truly repenting of wrong that they did at all and being open to the problem that was at hand. how can they get a reduced sentence that is what they are on about or wriggle off the hook. such a person is not a man ! such is a grub and a real problem for a society. they should be marked as dishonourable rat bags.

OK. Time for a single mainstream brainusing Christianity of any background to say something. Jesus Christ tells you to visit them in prison. They have groups for that. Most of the world lives in codified laws only the government cares about, not the people. They should look into death penalty cases, of course.
What about "Facebook Jail" have you considered, I met a man served me I've never met , he never wanted my name or offered his, he said, he already removed me from a premises with police accord, I of course had personal decision not to use facebook, nothing goes my way to ever join facebook, and only the police and further actions against me would Include joining "Jail Facebook". So if you want to "friend request" and be a Christian, ya, join a Facebook where they legally put prisoners instead of hand chopping and cursing and yelling and prisoner abuse. It depends: on the reason for the murder.
My Vote for the Death Penalty is more in favor if it involves a Terrorist.
Any Type.
The type that shoots people in a Church or in a Theater, for example.
The type that is trying to please allah the false god, is another.
What i think, is that they should create a DOA Law that is strictly related to a Terrorist.
The Law is : Dead on Arrival.
DOA Law.
This law states that one you are identified as a Terrorist....once this is confirmed, (by Murder) then you instantly forfeit your right to live.
You forfeit your Constitutional rights.
You forfeit a right to a judge, a jury, and a trial.
You forfeit your citizenship.
You forfeit your existence.
You are to be destroyed, without the right to be heard, because you have decided to murder all of us if you can.
So, your judgement is passed, and you will arrive DEAD ON ARRIVAL, as the final outcome for your choice.

hmmmmm, I wonder whether anyone is against the consequences resulting from getting hit by a moving Mack truck if you walk out in front of it on a freeway?
I’m afraid if I read the OT in the way you seem to read it I might easily come to the conclusion that God’s also fine with abortion, infanticide and genocide.
But as Christians we ought to make sense of the OT in light of the NT. So I don’t think God is fine with any of these, nor is He fine with the death penalty.
Here’s Paul quoting what he deemed worth noting in the OT: ” Do not repay anyone evil for evil. (…) Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. (…) Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:17-21)
And in Matthew 5:38-39 our Lord Jesus Christ counters the OT’s “ eye for an eye” with a big authoritative “but I say to you …”.
How much clearer can it get?

These we should visit. Give them hope and encouragement. At the least do not make them face death alone.
Minor crimes that do not intentionally hurt other people, or accidental.. No.
These always have an opportunity for repentance or restitution. Mercy and forgiveness.
Murderers, child molesters, elderly abuse... bye.. take it up with the JUDGE after your gone.
Evil can not be allowed to roam freely through the streets.
If there is no severe penalty for such actions it will only increase.
The punishment should fit the crime.
Justice is a double edged sword.

Agreed but it should be proven that they're a hundred percent guilty first. And I guess people can repent as well.
