I agree that when Christ returns His angels will be with Him. Also returning with Christ are the living souls/spirit of those who have died and are with Him a living spirit or as Paul describes a spiritual body. Because the spirit in man will be kept alive through His Spirit in us until we are physically resurrected, and our body too shall be changed from mortal and corruptible to immortal and incorruptible. If our spirit did not continue to live after our body dies, then Christ would not have said the life we have when we believe is eternal.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 (KJV) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Paul tells us not only of the physical, bodily resurrection and change that shall come for believers when the last trumpet sounds, he also tells us of what becomes of our spirit that possesses eternal life, after our body dies. Paul says when our natural body returns to the dust from which it came, we, as spiritual body go as living soul to heaven to become as they which are heavenly. Just as we, as natural man had borne the image of the earthy man, Adam in life, so too in death we shall bear the image of the spiritual man, Christ after physical death.

When our physical body dies the spirit within every man, giving them natural life shall return to God Who alone gives life. Our spirit will return to God alive through the life-giving Spirit, or in death without the life-giving Spirit.

If the resurrection is the bodily resurrection and change that shall come for believers, Christ would not say, "are as the angels of God in heaven." Christ says this is true because even Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are alive in heaven at the resurrection because God is the God of the living and not the dead.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Typically, as believers we understand fairly well our bodily resurrection and change that shall come. But sadly, many have little if any understanding of the "first resurrection" that man must have part of in life to overcome the second death. I agree that when Christ returns His angels will be with Him. Also returning with Christ are the living souls/spirit of those who have died and are with Him a living spirit or as Paul describes a spiritual body. Because the spirit in man will be kept alive through His Spirit in us until we are physically resurrected, and our body too shall be changed from mortal and corruptible to immortal and incorruptible. If our spirit did not continue to live after our body dies, then Christ would not have said the life we have when we believe is eternal.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 (KJV) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Paul tells us not only of the physical, bodily resurrection and change that shall come for believers when the last trumpet sounds, he also tells us of what becomes of our spirit that possesses eternal life, after our body dies. Paul says when our natural body returns to the dust from which it came, we, as spiritual body go as living soul to heaven to become as they which are heavenly. Just as we, as natural man had borne the image of the earthy man, Adam in life, so too in death we shall bear the image of the spiritual man, Christ after physical death.

When our physical body dies the spirit within every man, giving them natural life shall return to God Who alone gives life. Our spirit will return to God alive through the life-giving Spirit, or in death without the life-giving Spirit.

According to the promise of Christ, once a believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit, He will not leave us until our bodily resurrection to immortality and incorruption that shall come when the last trumpet sounds.

Christ, speaking of the spiritual resurrection that through Him believers possess by grace through faith, He tells us when a believer dies, we become like the angels in heaven, who are spirit beings. If the resurrection is the bodily resurrection and change that shall come for believers, Christ would not say, "are as the angels of God in heaven." Christ says this is true because even Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are alive in heaven at the resurrection because God is the God of the living and not the dead.

Matthew 22:29-32 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Typically, as believers we understand fairly well our bodily resurrection and change that shall come. But sadly, many have little if any understanding of the "first resurrection" that man must have part of in life to overcome the second death. When we understand the "first resurrection" is the resurrection life we partake of spiritually through Christ in life according to faith, then we have no doubt that death will not separate us spiritually from the love of God in Christ after we are physically dead and buried.

There is a difference between;
Those who sleep “IN” Jesus and those who are alive or asleep “IN” Christ.

OT men who believed IN God, believed Gods Word, had not received the Knowledge that Gods Word was Called by the Name; JESUS.

Studying Scripture can be challenging, particularly when the END is revealed, before bit by bit Study has been accomplished.

Raptured and resurrected believers do NOT return with Christ.

We shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (raptured) when He comes the second time. If we are still physically alive when Christ returns the second time, we will be caught up together and physically changed with those who return with Him. That is also when all believers are physically resurrected immortal and incorruptible bodies, having both eternal spirit and immortal & incorruptible body.

Only those who have physically died in Christ (faithful saints both OT & NT) return as spirit with Christ the second time. It is at His return, when the last trumpet sounds that the physical body of every believer will be resurrected immortal and incorruptible and with their eternal spirit that returns with Christ shall be as man was first created to be before sin and death through sin entered God's creation. You can only understand once you realize the first resurrection, we must have part of is Christ's resurrection life. After that the one and only physical resurrection for ALL humanity will be at the same hour that is coming. Our physical destination is determined by whether in life (time, a thousand years) we are declared good or evil.

Christ will come in judgment for those who are not looking for Him (evil), but for those who are looking for Him (good) He comes not to judge our sins done in our body of death, but unto salvation. Those who are declared good, and already have immortal and incorruptible bodies are resurrected to life, and those that have done evil, still with physical mortal & corruptible bodies resurrected for damnation.

Hebrews 9:27-28 (KJV) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

What returns with Christ when He comes the second time is not men, but the spirit of men who died with faith in Him. They return a spiritual body from heaven with the Lord to receive resurrected physical body of immortal & incorruptible flesh. Men of faith, because they have physically died in Christ (had part in the first resurrection through Christ), are no longer encumbered with physical body of mortality and corruption, because flesh, blood and corruption cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These men physically died having faith to believe death was not the end for them because Christ has given His assurance that all who live and believe in Him shall never die. That's why Paul shows us that when our body dies (as it is destined to), men/women of faith continue to live on through eternal life spiritually because they died possessing eternal life through His Spirit in them.

Yes, the 144,000 from Israel of Old are now alive in heaven since they ascended to heaven with Christ after His resurrection. In Rev 7 we first read of the 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel being sealed by the Spirit. To be sealed by the Spirit is to possess eternal spiritual life, which is how those of faith continue to have spiritual life after physical death when we are indwelt with the Spirit. Which is what being sealed by the Spirit means. No Old Covenant faithful saint could ascend to heaven until Christ came and defeated death, and through His Spirit sealed them for eternal life with Him in heaven. Though the Spirit had been WITH Old Covenant faithful saints, He was not permanently IN them until Christ sent Him. These Old Covenant faithful from all the tribes of the children of Israel are the firstfruits of the dead to go spiritually to heaven as living souls, being the first to have part in the resurrection life of Christ who is the first resurrection. That's why we see the same group standing with the Lamb on mount Sion in heaven, being the firstfruits unto God and the Lamb.

Mount Sion is where the Kingdom of God in heaven is located, a spiritual Kingdom, not an earthly one. Every believer is part of this spiritual Kingdom in time (a thousand years) when we have part in the first resurrection life through Christ's resurrection. Our spiritual abode with Christ does not end when our body dies, we simply leave our body destined to die on this earth and go a spiritual body, as living soul to Mount Sion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem that will come down to the new earth after this first heaven and earth has passed away.

At His ascension before going to heaven Christ first descended into the lower parts of the earth, or the place for saints of old who died in faith waiting for Messiah to come and redeem them from death. This part of the grave Christ referred to as Abraham's bosom in His parable of Lazarus and the rich man, Christ emptied taking with Him to heaven the faithful saints of old who had been held captive in death. Which includes the 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel, the remnant of faithful Jews.
