I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.


That is talking about those who go back to the law, rather than trust Christ.

If you don't do works of faith, if you do what you doubt, you are "condemned", not justified (Ro 14:5,23), because "God's righteousness" is only "revealed from faith to faith" (Ro 1:5,16,17). This is why James says Abraham was "justified by works [of faith]".

Paul is talking to Jewish believers, or proselyte believers who have decided to be circumcised.
So, they are thinking that way, because someone who is a Teacher of Moses Law.... has told them, "you need to do this"..

PETER did this same thing one time.. .He got caught up in Jewish'ism, and Paul corrected him to his FACE and told Him He was out of order,.. that he was not obeying the Truth., that is found "in Christ".
And Peter was still born again, just like he is right now.

So, Paul is explaining that ... "if you keep some of the law, you have to keep it all"....>"you are putting yourself back under the law"... and in that place, Christ is not found. = "Of no effect".
Yet, at the same time..>"Christ IN YOU< the hope of Glory" is still their eternal reality.
These Galatians never stopped being "'the temple of the Holy Spirit".

So, this is the same as we find today, when you have people on forums who are probably a real Christian, telling you that you have to keep the law, keep the commandments, do works of righteousness"..

Yes, "the righteousness of faith" is that God declares the ungodly to be in right standing because of the righteousness of being forgiven (Ro 4:6-8). That is what Paul is talking about. The same Paul goes on to speak of "footsteps of faith of Abraham", and that the believer who does not walk in faith but walks in doubt is condemned for sin not justified.

Okay. May we continue to look in faith towards Yahava, and look towards loving others by the spirit. That is what is gonna matter in the end. I actually love scripture, however I do not hold on to things like sola scriptura and everything else. I mainly try to go by the spirit that brings life, where the letter kills.
