    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Unitarianism (which I also believe) is considered to be based more on conventional logic than on theological reasoning. For example, a Son is born and therefore did not exist eternally. On the other hand, in a theological or philosophical argument, the Son may have always existed, which defies...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

May I ask, are you a Binitarian?

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

To be fair, the Bible does not explicitly state what you claimed anywhere, especially in regards to specifically "three persons." However, God is described as one person repeatedly even though, as far as I know, the KJV is the only one that actually calls God a person in Hebrews 1.

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

According to Trinitarianism, God is one being that exists as three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is the standard, but it also depends who you ask. In any case, an interesting anomaly in Trinitarian logic arises immediately in John 1:1. The KJV says, "In the...

Made Sinless Forever : By the Blood of Jesus.

Unfortunately, being sinless forever isn't really a doctrine. I wish it were so. It would tidy things up a lot and be nicer, but the reality is that believers who go on sinning without repentance, regardless of whether or not they believe, will be held accountable for those sins and possibly...

    Thought for today

The Bible is not very specific about a lot of things, but it covers a wide variety of topics. It's almost missing a lot of topics. It's also extremely abbreviated sometimes.

    AI Trolls?

Yeah forum bots or chat bots have been a thing on forums for a long. Just with AI they are a bit more sophisticated and maybe a bit more difficult to spot.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Yeah but what does it all mean to you? Who ever said "you must understand it in X way or you got it wrong." Unfortunately Christendom cannot agree with one another what the Bible means.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Yes that's true, but I think people approach it from their worldview and experiences.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

There are verses that might apply to specific people. Example: God wanted or needed to help some people repent while it's not necessarily true that God want or needs to help everyone repent. On the other hand, God desires all repent yet all do not repent. The way that comes to reason for me...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

While it's true those verses exists, repentance is spoken of as a personal and deliberate choice one must make on their own throughout the Bible.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Probably a lot of different things depending on the context. There are some foundational and universal truths and then there are some things that matter depending on where someone is. God, independent of people, I don't know what the truth is that matters to God. Anything He wants I guess. He...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

At the end of the day, even if we got it all wrong about something, fall 100 times, God will forgive and bless the repentant. That much is true. At least we can still repent after all.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

First thing that comes to mind from my experience is to just be real about it all. It's tempting to make ourselves out to be someone better than we are, say all the right things, and check all the right boxes when we interact with God. I would actually advise against this, based on my...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

What I had in mind was along the lines of the below. However, I would also add my own words in which we come to God as servants, but with the attitude that we are also His children and He loves us. Hebrews 11 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

I think it’s possible to become so absorbed in doctrines because we can control them, argue about them, and bend them to our will. We can’t do the same with God. We cannot control God or tell Him what to do. I believe only those who truly love God will approach Him, for He is both kind and...

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

I believe God exists everywhere or can be somewhere specific.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

Yes I have read these and have considered them. I have pretty firm ideas about what I believe they are talking about. They're good verses.

Absolute truth - Do we know what it is?

I believe the answer is that they would say one can't be saved without the tenets of Calvinism, at least that would be the argument.
