The debate is circular.
The truth is BOTH ARE TRUE.
We are both elected and choose Him.
It is vividly illustrated in the Jewish wedding .
Look at it this way.
Billions of people.
God visits them through supernatural circumstances.
They choose him.
Some do not.
But he died for every single one.

Actually God predestined all He knew would be born to be conformed to the Image of Jesus
Romans 8:29,30 - For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (In other words He has provided salvation for all)
NOTE - Romans 8:29,30 is not saying all are automatically saved which would be the false doctrine of universalism, but rather is teaching us that God has in fact provided opportunity for all to be saved which is evident in other scripture references such as Titus 2:11-12, 1 John 2:2, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:1-4

A Born Again can never be un- birthed from the Spirit...they are on that narrow path,because they were chosen by God and predestined to become his child and belong to Jesus... of course we have to walk that path and through walking that path, the Living Spirit who indwell s our spirit, teaches us to stay on that path...of course we can step off the path of life and walk in self, but, God has his children in the palm of his hand ...he will always get us back on that narrow path, because we are his spirit children.we belong to Jesus we are his 100% ..he owns us and we were brought for a price, which was the death and resurrection of Jesus.
If the Father has given those from him to the Son, he will never lose one...Praise God...we are being conformed to become more and more like Jesus from the Living Spirit who indwells our spirit.

They can in fact become corrupt by turning away from the Lord and walking after the flesh
Galatians 6:7-8 - Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Sadly some people mock God claiming if one sows to the flesh they do not reap corruption which is why so many believe they can live in sin and still be saved which is exactly what the devil was trying to trick them to believe and do.
@One 2 question @Ritajanice if you're listening to "spirit guides" you're asking for deception.

Amen. Strong meat belongeth to the mature. The whole sad story of Israel is a warning and admonition to the church.
Just for the sake of clarification, when YOU use the term God's word, are you refering to what some people wrote down and has found its way into the bibles?

He is amazing, isn't He. God within us. This is incredible. His Spirit communicating with our spirit. By design, we are perfectly compatible.
So wording is that important? Great. The Spirit sent to guide us, according to Jusus, leads us unto all truth. Is He not a Spirit Guide.
The term came probably came from Jesus and occult use it as well.
Shall we not use the word Rainbow because of its use by the LGBTQ+ community?

The story is a mixed bag hey. The good, bad and ugly.
You won't find the term "spirit guide" in Scripture. You do, on the other hand, find rainbows mentioned in Scripture. Jesus didn't mention a spirit guide. He called Him the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth.
"Born again" necessitates a first death. When did one die and can they die more than once? Can they be born again a second, third, fourth time, etc, if the first birth wasn't sufficient?

There is only one Supernatural divine spiritual birth....my spirit can NEVER die, for it’s Born Again, my spirit is in Christ..
When I die my body of sin will go back into the ground.....my spirit will go straight back to my Father God,...I know that I will have a glorified body ....just like Jesus...

Born Again. means exactly what the written word confirms what the Living Spirit testifies with our heart.
The Spirit testifies with “ our spirit “ that we are Gods children, as the Living Spirit was coming in through my body, and taking up residence / manifested in my spirit/ heart..he testified with my spirit , ..he regenerated my spirit, that I never even knew that I had..,God brought my spirit Alive in the Spirit Of Christ..I am Born Again of His Living imperishable seed....the Living seed that permanently indwells our heart.
As my spirit has been Born Again of Gods Living seed...from the moment my spirit was birthed, Spirit gives birth to spirit...the Living seed of God will start his work in my heart/ conforming me into the image of Jesus.
I am becoming more and more like Jesus every day, plus we bear the Spirit fruit...
Why, because God chose us and gave us to Jesus, just as his word says, ..if God gives us to Jesus, I repeat if God gives us to Jesus, none can pluck us out of his hand....we have that Living testimony within us, testifying that truth to our heart, all day every day...we are 100% secure in the hands of Jesus...

It has taken God many years, for me to understand when he gave birth to my spirit....what it means to be Born Again.
If you don’t understand the Living birth yet, don’t be concerned, as he will bring you to understanding who you are in Christ, all in his timing...be patient and wait on him...God Bless.

Took God a long time to get me to understand what civil and polite meant, as I was brought up in “ verbal abuse and a very dysfunctional family.to me growing up that was normal...I couldn’t relate to being nice, I thought that there was something wrong with people when they were nice to me...we all come from very different backgrounds my friend.....all Glory goes to God....we will never stop learning TIL the day our bodies die....God is preparing us for heaven....
