Do you realize that the New Covenant is an eternal covenant with the Israel of God, Jesus Christ? We, Elect, are under eternal Covenant, which is the New Covenant. The rest within the congregation are merely a representation of the covenant but not truly saved. Many are called, few are chosen.
do you realize the covenant of Dan 9 has absolutely nothing to do with any of this?
No, its in the Bible.

Premillennialism garbage.
Amil garbage.

when you have some actual scripture you want to discuss, let me know,.

until then I will continue to assume what I suspect..

He would be a roman As his people destroyed the city in 70Ad
He will be a Jew coming from the Roman Empire Empire (fourth kingdom, Daniel 7:23-25) manifested in the end times as the EU. He will also be descended from the Julio-Claudians (Revelation 17:10-11).

A Jew, because to become the Antichrist - the king of Israel, perceived messiah - he must be a Jew.

Word of God's response:

God did not divide the Olivet Discourse into different sections of time to fit your flawed doctrine, Douggg!

You, TribulationSigns, are not the Word of God.

The Olivet Discourse is Jesus's response to the comments/questions by the disciples, first as they departed the temple in Matthew 24:1-2, and then after they arrived on the mount of Olives, the disciples questions of when in Matthew 24:3.

Jesus's response was expansive. From when the temple would be destroyed, to the gospel being spread throughout the world, to the end times when He would return, His Second Coming.

Matthew 24:
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Thus, to analyze and understand the Olivet Discourse, it is necessary place the verses in their appropriate time frames of near term, long term, end times, which I have done in my table.

He will be a prince of the people who destroy Jerusalem.

Dan 9:
“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall [j]be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come

Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

70 AD.

who is the prince who is to come?

Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week

He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,

Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”

He confirms a covenant for 7 years
In the middle of this seven years. He places the abomination of desolation in the wing of the temp Or as Jesus called it in Matt 24. the holy place.

In the kjv, it says "the" covenant. The covenant that Daniel had been praying about his people having broke was the Mt. Sinai covenant.

In Deuteronomy 31:9-31, Moses established a requirement that all future leaders of Israel confirm the Mt. Sinai covenant on a 7 year cycle.

The prince that shall come after becoming the Antichrist, the king of Israel perceived messiah, will confirm the Mt. Sinai covenant for the 7 year cycle by making a big speech from the temple mount that God gave the land of Israel to the children of Israel as theirs forever.

big speech small.jpg
Later, in the middle of the 7 years, after the Antichrist person reveals that he is not the messiah, but the man of sin, and then shortly thereafter the beast-king, the abomination of desolation will be set up in the courtyard of the temple.

Later, that statue image will be indwelt by Satan and people will be required to worship it. When Jesus returns, the statue image will be turned to ashes, exposing Satan there on the temple mount.

Yes according to lewv 26. That is not the covenant that is confirmed for 1 week.

lol.. 70 weeks is context.

God is answering Daniels pray by showing that they will be given 70 weeks from this time until the end.

He then tells Daniel what will happen during that time

1. The first 69 weeks are a time when they will be in the land from the command to restore Jerusalem, until messiah the prince.

2. After messiah is cut off, The city and sanctuary will be destroyed and left desolate.

3. In some future time. They will be back in the land, and some covenant will be confirmed with many people (many nations I assume)

4. the covenant will be for one week

5. In the middle of that week, He will put an end to sacrifice by placing an abomination that causes desolation of the holy place.

6. Jesus said after this, which will be seen by everyone. there will be great tribulation such as never has been seen before (matt 24) So great is the time, that if Jesus does not stop it. no flesh will survive (some extinction event will happen)

so my origional comment stands

There has noever been a covenant confirmed by one week

It will be confirmed by the prince who is to come, out of rome

at the end, Christ will return, which also have not happened yet.

so it is yet future

I think the with "many" is indicating that Israel will be populous at the time.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

4. the covenant will be for one week

5. In the middle of that week, He will put an end to sacrifice by placing an abomination that causes desolation of the holy place.
If in the middle of the week, the person puts an end to the sacrifice and places the abomination of desolation - he is not confirming the covenant any longer, correct?

So the confirming of the covenant is that of establishing a cycle of one week (7 years). Not the confirming of the covenant continuously for one week (7years) by his actions of adhering to the covenant - which instead he will break the covenant in the middle of the week.

Did Hyppolytus say that the Antichrist must be a Jew ? Yes or no ?

Yes, he did.

Hippolytus said:
"The Saviour came into the World in the circumcision, and he will come in the same manner."

But I do not believe the coming Antichrist will actually be Jewish, but will be 'presented' as being Jewish in order to fulfill the requirement of being The Messiah.

Just as the false Jews are not true flesh-born of Israel but foreigners that crept in, I believe they will setup the false-Messiah as king and present him as being of the circumcision in order to deceive true flesh-born Jews.

Just like the Ark of the Covenant, some in Jerusalem claim they know where it is, when in reality the Ark is shown in Revelation 11:19 to be in Heaven. The Ark of the Covenant is another requirement the orthodox Jews must have in order to re-establish old covenant worship in their future built temple in Jerusalem. So their claim to have found the Ark is probably false also, and will be a fake mimic of God's true Ark of the Covenant that is in Heaven.

The whole idea of the coming false-Messiah will be about one huge mimic of the old covenant by the "synagogue of Satan", but with their Messiah version.

I agree with this, but disagree with your understanding of the timing of some of the verses. But, Jesus definitely answered two different questions relating to two different events, one of which was local to Judea and Jerusalem that was fulfilled in 70 AD and the other of which is global and yet to be fulfilled (the second coming of Christ). And Jesus spoke of things that would happen over time leading up to His second coming and things that would happen soon before His second coming as well, of course.

this is pushing it.

Gabriel told daniel what will happen. Just believe him and try not to read to much into it.

What is "Iewv" ?
Leviticus 26.

27 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me,
28 then I also will walk contrary to you in fury;
and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.
30 I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols;
and My soul shall abhor you.

31 I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet aromas.
32 I will bring the land to desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.
33 I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you;
your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.

34 Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land;
then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
35 As long as it lies desolate it shall rest—
for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in it.
36 ‘And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness[i] into their hearts in the lands of their enemies;
the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee;
they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues.
37 They shall stumble over one another, as it were before a sword, when no one pursues;
and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38 You shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 And those of you who are left shall [j]waste away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands;
also in their fathers’ iniquities, which are with them, they shall waste away.

This happened 3 times in history

Assyria destroyed the northern kingdom

Babylon destroyed the southern (Daniel prayed during this time and mentioned God did what he promised he would do)

70 AD when rome did it the third time

The land still remains desolate

The land of Israel is no longer desolate. Israel, a nation again in 1948, has a population of 9.4 million. Jerusalem back in the hands of the Jews in 1967. We are living in the latter days, latter years, the end times.

So the little horn person (who becomes the prince that shall come, then later the Antichrist) should be close to making his appearance of who he is, the specific person.

In Judaism, and among Jews, who they consider is a Jew - is if the person's mother is a Jew. The nation of where the person is born is not a factor.

again, I just SMH

There is a pagan temple in Jerusalem. as well as an Islamic temple or dome.

the land is desolate and will be until Israel repents.. That is the requirement of Lev 26
Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 30:4-6, the portion about the return of the Jews to the land of Israel, has been partially fulfilled with the partial return of the Jews to the land of Israel. The complete fulfillment will be after Jesus returns, Matthew 24:31, Ezekiel 39:28.

The Jews will turn to Christ in the middle of the 7 years, after their bad experience thinking that the Antichrist is their king of Israel, messiah. Their turning to Christ is in Revelation 12:10.

The Jews (Judaism) call the complete gathering of all the Jews from around the world to Israel - "the final redemption". info, for your awareness of what they believe - in case you start discussing the matter with a religious (Judaism) Jew.

The dome is going to be torn down and removed following the Gog/Magog event of Ezekiel 39. Ezekiel 39:9 coincides with the 7 years of Daniel 9:27.

Why didn't you make that clear then, buddy? You only asked about my understanding of WHEN these things would take place.

Liar. Obvoiusly you did not read carefully what I asked:

"Really? Let's test your claim:

1.) What do the war and rumors of war, famine, pestilences, and earthquake in divers places, Matthew 24:7, refers to?"

Where did I ask "when" like you falsely accused? Shame on you.

You need to take a class on how to communicate.

No thanks. It's on you. Read better next time.

They are literal, physical events.

Nope!

Jesus was making the point that it would not be literal, physical events that would show that His coming is near, but rather spiritual things like persecution and increased deception, apostasy and wickedness that would indicate that His coming at the end of the age is near.

You are not really answer my question. Let try again. God is "specific" in these things for a reason. Let try again if you understand what God's definition of:

War and rumors of war?

Famine?

Pestilences?

Earthquakes?

And why are these considered the beginning of sorrow? What sorrow is it?
I sure do, buddy. You saw that I said it relates to Satan's little season, right? So, it's because of Satan being loosed. What Jesus said in Matthew 24:9-13 is all related. It results from being deceived by false prophets and such.

Good job, student. However, I noticed that you insist verse 15-20, in the middle of the chapter's context, refers to the physical destruction of the Jewish temple and instructs Jews to flee when the Romans attacked. Then, you went on to discuss the "little season" for the rest of the chapter. This seems inconsistent. It appears you're selecting specific verses to support your doctrines. That is the inconsistency I warned you about. Therefore, your interpretation of the Olivet Discourse can't be correct!
Too bad. You allowed yourself to be deluded into thinking that Jesus had nothing to say about the temple buildings being destroyed despite being asked about it.

The Lord corrected my understanding according to context. He was applying to the New Testament congregation. There was never an abomination of desolation in 70AD. And you don't even know exactly what it is anyway!

Tell me, why did Jesus say it would be more difficult for pregnant women and nursing mothers to flee? Tell me, why did Jesus say that they should pray that they wouldn't have to flee in the winter or on the Sabbath? I can't wait to see how you spiritualize all that.

Do you have short memory or something? I have explained this many times in the past with you. I will repeat, for the sake of readers, who are curious to know, too.

Christ did not talk about "pregnant women and babies" in Jersualem! God is talking about the unsaved in the congregation! It was woe to the unsaved, not to those God is warning to flee "BECAUSE" of the abominations in their midst. Here is an important spiritual lesson for you to learn, which requires understanding sound hermeneutics! When we compare Scirpture with Scirpture, the phrase the woman who gives suck is an illustration of the Holy City Jersualem, which is allegorically the congregation/church! Selah! The congregation is the woman who gives suck! The Elect were part of the children who fed with the milk of THIS WOMAN, but now they are told to flee out of the midst of Judaea (type of Church). Flee this very same congregation, the representation of theHoly Temple of God in the New Testmaent, and go to the mountains.
Isaiah 66:10-13
  • "Rejoice ye with JERUSALEM, and be glad with her, all ye that Love her: Rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
  • That YE may Suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; and ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
  • For thus saith the Lord, behold, I will extend PEACE to her like a River, and the Glory of the gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall Ye Suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dangled upon her knees.
  • As one whom His mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem."

Hello?!?! The children of God are the, "Ye that suck," and the woman is "her that gives suck!" Two clearly distinct entities. One, the Holy city, the representation of Christ, and the other her children (including the election) within her. Plainly, and without ambiguity, this is that great city Jerusalem, and the elect are within her, satisfied with her milk. The very same Great City Jerusalem that the two witnesses (elect) are within and are killed in her streets. Think about that!

Ask yourself honestly and without prejudice, is this speaking of a literal Woman nursing a literal child? Is this literal (the physical city) Jerusalem in 70AD? Is this the elect? Who are those she nurses if not the elect that milk out? Is this literal milk a baby gets nourishment from? Duh! NO! Obviously it is not! Listen, the Lord uses spiritual language to portray the church as 'The Woman,' Jerusalem, and the elect in the church as nursing or suckling children! This cannot be rightly gainsaid or denied. They can't be both! So we have our answer just who this woman is that gives suck, and when we do we find it is that great city Jerusalem.

Now it is woe to her; of course her children go without milk of Gospel! That is apostasy and famine the Lord talked about earlier in Matthew 24. Do you have spiritual ears to hear that?? Will the Elect have their children go without milk? No. You can't just throw scriptures out inconsistently and think it proves something. The children go without milk because (pay attention to this) THIS WOMAN is no longer feeding the children because of her abominations! See? There is spiritual famine! She is appearing royally and righteous as she is clothed in scarlet on the outside, but abominable on the inside. This is the picture that "God" is painting of a harlot woman that is a spiritual city, not me:

Lamentations 4:4
  • "The tongue of the sucking child cleveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask Bread, and no man breaketh it unto them. They that did FEED delicately are desolate in the streets: They that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills."

This is the woman who gives suck. And the children of the congregation seek bread, but there is a famine of hearing the word of God. Those are the key phrases in comparing scripture with scripture. Those who give suck absolutely without question refers to Jerusalem, the representation of the Lord's congregation. So how could this be the elect? The elect don't let their children go hungry, and God doesn't let the Elect go hungry, but the abominable woman Jerusalem does. The New Testament church in apostasy does. And just who is this that God says is "desolate" within her streets? Can the elect have streets wherein some are Desolate in it? You have to be more mindful in interpreting scripture. Things that "sound good" on first blush aren't necessarily the truth. Scripture has to be studied to be "rightly" divided.

Whatever. I am not convinced by your argument even a tiny bit.

Not my problem. It's up to the Holy Spirit.

Yes, it does because it relates to the times after armies surrounded Jerusalem before making it desolate, as the Roman armies did in 70 AD. What is your problem with believing that event was prophesied, anyway? You don't have to be a preterist to believe that, as I'm proving to you, so what is your deal with that?

No, you got the wrong armies. You were thinking about physical soldiers gathering around a physical city. This is NOT what God talked about! Again, the New Testament congregation is the Holy City.

Rev 11:1-2
(1) And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
(2) But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

The Gentiles are the armies that surround the Holy City. Spiritual Gentiles! They are the false prophets and christs who come into the "court without the temple" (after Satan is loosed), the corporate part of the congregation, to deceive them as a judgment of God, so they will believe a lie. This is what the time of the Gentiles is all about! This is where the war and rumors or war, famines, pestilences takes place where the kingdom of God is shaken (earthquakes) all over the world.
Nothing to do with your fantasy of 70AD and physical temple surrounded by Roman armies because you think God was talking about Judea in the Middle East. Sounds like you lack spiritual discernment. Like.. you believe there were women with babies running around in the city hoping to flee before winter or on the Sabbath. (chuckle).

Lev 26 says they must repent first

They have not repented even rom 11 says they will not be saved until Christ returns
I think Leviticus 26 is referring to them repenting of having broke the Mt. Sinai covenant. Which they did repent of their transgressions and came out of the Babylonian captivity.

For a different reason, in 70 AD, they were again taken captive into the nations because they rejected Christ and the gospel of salvation.

In Ezekiel 39:21-29 is Jesus Himself speaking in the text having returned to earth, right after Ezekiel 39:17-20 (corresponding to Revelation 19:17-18). The Jews status at present I agree with you that the Jews don't believe Jesus is the Lord their God.

But take a look at what Jesus says in Ezekiel 39:22-25.... this is the status of the Jews once that Jesus has returned.

22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

In verse 28 is the complete gathering of the Jews from the nations....

28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

Ezekiel 39 provides the framework for which all of the end times time frames fit into.
