Here is what stumps me the most. He clarified that he who hates his brother is in darkness still and to hate your brother is to commit murder in your heart.(one tempted Him saying who is my brother?) Fear smart ones can be too confident in their own smartness.

And some think those that are repeating God's warnings from His Word to try and help people see they need to REPENT.... and being hateful.

That's one way to tell when someone loves their sin and has decided to continue in their sin when they claim those pointing out their sin are "hating their brother" when in reality they are trying to help their brother.

The Love of God would not stand by idly and not warn others of impending eternal punishment in an attempt to help them get off of the highway to heLL

Only my observation. The men standing on the corner up town holding bullhorns screaming all those things that go to hell to burn forever in torment …they say the same that they do it out of love and people condemn their great love. It’s those people, those who they condemn, as the issue because they are only giving the truth. Yet, it still remains to be seen if they love those they are shouting at to repent for their sins or if they get off on being seen out in the open as greater than and holier than everyone else driving past. If that is the case…then they don’t practice what they preach but only do it to be seen as such by men. Yes, maybe they truly love those they are trying to convert to and save from forever burning in hell and torment. Only God knows their true motive for that which they call loving their enemies to death. To me it looks like getting drunk or high on themselves by leveling others as beneath them. Yet, They call getting drunk and high on their own high mindedness indeed as the love of Christ.

Well... blame the Lord... He's the One that commanded that the Gospel be preached to the entire world.

Some of the street preacher stuff is more about people being told the Truth as they have heard the Gospel and have no excuse before the Lord.

Romans 10:14
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Well, opinions are like belly buttons.... everyone but Adam had one!

So when you reach out to a sinner to try and get them set free thru Jesus.... are you too getting drunk and high on your own high mindedness? clueless-scratching.gif

Or, do you just not bother with trying to teach anybody as to not be getting drunk and high on your own high mindedness? clueless.gif

You will be judged with the same judgement you use on others ya know.

You make a great point. I agree “you will be judged with the same judgement you use on others”. I do get that, that is why our only Hope is in Christ. I get I’ve done nothing and can do nothing to save myself. Why would I impose upon others that they should hope in anything but the merit of Christ being enough.

Reaching out to the lost does involve imposing on their wrong thinking... but, we are just not called by the Lord to force it down their throats so to speak when they choose to not receive.

Mark 6:11,12
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Telling people they need to repent... frequently causes them to start manifesting devils cool_shades.gif

Christ did this —reaching out to the lost and their wrong thinking—by revealing what pleases God. While they gave unto Him (Gall)bitter water to drink …He gives Living Water, in asking “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be a change of mind or a person shouldn’t turn from their own ways. I’m saying that Saul was a murderer who pointed out he consented to his brother Stephens death. Saul persecuted the way of Christ. What I hear being said is to not boast in the flesh, but to set the example to others who have no hope (having done wrong) that the only Hope is in Christ. I’m skeptical of standing on a street corner is teaching what (Christ in) Paul spoke to the Corinthians saying “we will gladly be weak, that you be made strong. This we do for your perfection.” What do they do for their perfecting? That’s worth considering when people tell you what they do is out of love for your perfecting. What did Jesus Christ do while we were yet the enemies of God?

His first public message was same as John the Baptist's... repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.

Not many people enjoy hearing they believe wrong and live wrong and need to repent and turn from their sin to be right with the Lord.

Most want to hear just believe Jesus exists and no need to change anything in their lives... it's all good if they continue in sin, no repentance needed (false OSAS teaching of today to tickle people's ears)

That's not a message spoken to unbelievers out in the street... that was spoken to believers needing to grow in the Lord.

You and I are nt Jesus... so we are not called to go to the Cross for the sins of the world.

You aren't called by the Lord to be a street preacher (neither am I) so let's no over think what they do.

Some plant, some water, and some harvest (1 Corinthians 3:6-9) and we are all called to be located somewhere in this process

Agree. I’m not called to be a street preacher. I’m not called to be a preacher either but a homemaker.

I like that and agree. Everything has a purpose and season. At the same time maybe I misunderstood…I misunderstood you and @amigo de christo to suggest everyone has to do the same as y’all. As you said though some plant, some water, and some harvest…

God's Word likens the Body of Christ to be like the human body.... different body parts are responsible for doing different stuff.

That's part of one's personal relationship with the Lord is as they grow spiritually they are led by the Lord in to what He's wanting them to do.

But, it is true that we are all called to reach out to unbelievers... it's just a matter of finding from the Lord about the specific thing or things He's leading you to do personally in support of the Great Commission
