You spend all your time asking questions and saying very little. That comes across as slippery to me.

If you feel you have something to teach then why don't you do it in the open, and let's examine it in light of the whole counsel of God? or are you afraid of the light?
I'm not really here to sell anything.
The questions are more important than the answers.

Who decides what "the whole counsel of God" is?
Isn't that just a wall around accepted evangelical doctrine?
Playing "the God card" to win the debate and end the discussion.
Making religion an oppressive authority.

Funny that isn't what you SAID in the video. What you SAID was that you didnt' know which viewpoint is the right one. I don't find you very transparent about what you believe.
I'm glad that you watched the video. Did you learn anything?

I'm a recovering Evangelical.
I was formerly an Elder in the church. I reject the hell doctrine.

Did you know that there are three primary hell doctrines?

[
The bible, God's Word doesnt reject hell so why do you, a mere man?? Or do you like the idea of unrepentant sinners being allowed into heaven

Like it or not, it really is my way or the highway-while there will always be relatively inconsequential doctrinal matters that are not important for salvation and that there will always be disagreement on, there is a core doctrine that must be accepted to be saved- to believe Jesus is Lord and God who died on the cross and rose again on the 3rd day and that no one comes to the Father but by Him. Sola Scriptura is also a requirement for the manmade lies of the RCC and other false churches are dangerous side trails

First of all nearly all of these bibles are trash. Secondly hell is in the OT and NT using different names. Look it up lazyass. Thirdly no hell means one of two things- one either believes on the false teaching of annihilation or two, you believe in universalism, ie everyone gets to heaven

I'm not really here to sell anything.
Is that another deceitful, gaslighting falsehood like your "I don't know which of the three viewpoints is right"...? For someone with no purpose here, you spend an awful lot of time here.

Look, it's not difficult, it's very simple. The wages of sin is death. That means to perish. As opposed to immortality. Which means eternal life. Fear Him who can destroy both body and soul in Gehenna (symbolic of God's consuming fire, lake of fire, second death) A soul needs a body/house/tabernacle in order to live. That's why it is necessary for immortality/eternal life that God's people receive an immortal incorruptible body. And of course those who don't receive an immortal body perish. That means to die. No immortality in other words. Death means death....and death is final......the wages of sin. This shouldn't be hard to grasp for the undeceived....the devil keeps people from seeing clearly.

Is God lying to us? The soul that sins shall die. No, He is not a man that He should lie.

Are you selling something simply because you are posting?

You have a talent for complicating what you claim is simple.

Is God lying to us? The soul that sins shall die. No, He is not a man that He should lie.
These are the words of men. Describing their view of God.
God has no reason to lie to us, but Christians seem to have plenty of reasons to do so.
Why can't you accept my view as just that? My view. What are you trying to sell to me?

You seem to have the idea that there are only two views. The right view (yours) and the wrong view. (everyone else's)

Hell is not well spelled out in the OT. But then again there are a number of things that aren't clearly defined in the OT. but that doesnt mean they arent taught at all. Paul himself said 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Things come more into the light in the NT as prophecies are fulfilled

They have not gone to heaven unless they were babies who were far too young to be held accountable for their sin

Beg your pardon then. I must have missed that. I only read that you didn't mean to give that impression or words to that effect.

Whole counsel of God means to take all of scripture together, and not just isolated verses that by themselves might appear to contradict other verses.

I can exercise my right to free speech like anyone else here.
Are you selling something simply because you are posting?
I'm most of the time taking a stand on a point of view and expressing it. Sometimes I am only offering a possible point of view for the sake of discussing and examining.

You have a talent for complicating what you claim is simple.
Wages of sin is death. The soul that sins shall die. Whosoever believes in Jesus will not perish (die) but have eternal life (immortality). This is God's word and it is not complicated at all.

These are the words of men. Describing their view of God.
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die" is God-breathed scripture. The Lord speaking to Ezekiel actually. (Ch. 18.) It's not the words of men.
In reference to the narrow and broad way... (destruction) it seems VERY wrong to equate that to our eternal destiny.
It must refer to consequences in the here and now. Otherwise it means God is making sport of our destiny. (few there be that find it) ???

A cruel puzzle game with high-stakes for the unfortunate players. The majority of whom will lose. (be destroyed) ???

Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Quoting you from an earlier post.....here you are sitting in judgment against the Almighty God. Whereas HE says this:

Rom 9:20-23

Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Ah yes. Predestination and the Elect of God.
The flip side of that coin is the majority that will be predestined to hell. (destruction) God chooses?
There is a better plan.

1 Corinthians 15:22-24 NIV
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father
after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
If this is an example of how some folks handle scripture generally, it's no wonder they are in error. It says, Each in turn, first Christ, then when He comes, THOSE WHO BELONG TO HIM. Those who belong to Him clearly are the "all" who will be made alive. All those who are in Christ. The bible doesn't teach that those who do not belong to Christ will be made alive, it teaches the opposite, that they will perish, sadly. Does Romans 9 that I posted there say they are fitted for glory and to be made alive? No it says they are fitted for destruction. It's not rocket science but people are searching and reading into the bible what they want to see, not what scripture is actually trying to tell us.

God's justice is not an unrighteous thing...it is right and just. Justice is righteous. That's why governing authorities are HIS ministers of justice and don't bear the sword for nothing (when they are being just - not all governments are just all the time). It is amazing and wonderful that thankfully some do find and receive His undeserved mercy.....we need to see the cup as being half full not half empty. The Lord wasn't obligated to save anybody.
