Just curious, Wrangler… do you believe the dead can speak with the living?

(There’s a “method to my madness”, please bear with me.)
I've gone back and forth on that. Now, I don't believe so. Rather who divinators claim is the dead are actually demons.

It might depend on the context. Certainly Moses and Elijah spoke with Jesus in the Transfiguration.
Some argue that it was a vision, not a real visitation. But why did Peter offer to build shelters for a vision?

Obviously, seeking contact with the dead through occult means is wrong. But...

I speak to my relatives from time to time. That's speak TO, not speak WITH.
Since we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, I believe they can hear me.

Recently I challenged a beloved forum member to visit this website.

Buddha's Miracles Manifest - Sravasti Abbey - A Buddhist Monastery

The Day of Miracles commemorates the time Buddha displayed his miraculous powers for 15 days. Many thousands of minds were transformed. Here's the story.

If I was a betting man (I'm not) I would say that you probably wouldn't dare to read it.
Exceedingly few on this forum will. Because... fear rules Christianity.

I responded with this:

Here was the response I got, which I thought was great.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But for the most part, I think fear rules Christianity.
I didn't get a straight answer to my question, but I'm guessing that
@Taken did NOT view the link about the miracles of Buddha.
Why?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think it is because fear rules Christianity. What are we so afraid of?

Hell.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many of us were raised to believe that:
Belief = no questions asked = heaven
Unbelief = questions asked = hell
We are programmed to believe that ANY question = hell
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be afraid, be VERY afraid.

Few Christians would dare to read an account of Buddha's miracles.

Why?

Fear does not rule Christianity- only someone who rejects the truth will spout such nonsense. No true believer lives in fear

The cloud of witnesses as those who are witness to Jesus' glory. They do not see us or hear us

What is the protocol, the etiquette, for interacting with a divine vision?
If the vision is of Jesus Christ you can interact with Him. If its anyone else drop to your knees and pray for deliverance because they are not who they claim to be.

If that is true, what is the point of us throwing off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles for them? (Hebrews 12:1)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

That has nothing to do with the Cloud of witnesses in heaven. I is as I have said. This is about us not them. Its about following in their footsteps

Yes I am familiar with the Transfiguration. But note that God sent Moses and Elijah to speak with Jesus ALONE. The apostles were not permitted to speak to them. God never sends the dead otherwise, to speak to the living. There is only one exeption to this, that is when God allowed the witch of Endor to speak to Samuel- a on-off deal never meant to be repeated and basically done to scare the piss out of her, someone who like today's clairvoyants, raise demons masquerading as dead people

I will not disobey the Lord my God by going into a non Christian place of worship. IT is not fear it is an absolute hate and disdain for false religious paths that are destroying lost souls. So dont try and rope me into saying its fear when it isnt. I despise the evils of false religion I do not fear them
I'm not asking you to go into a non Christian place of worship.
Would you read about the miracles of Buddha? Or are you too afraid? (chicken)

Your "one-off deal" negates your "never-ever".
