YOU guys may be some one of those people, blinded by Protestant tradition because the Bible mentions the “brothers” and “sisters” of Jesus.

When you compare the different accounts of the crucifixion, they clearly show the mother of James and Joseph to be Mary, the wife of Clopas (also called, Alphaeus) – not Mary, the Mother of Jesus. ANY attempt to connect these people as uterine brothers of Jesus are squashed by the Bible . . .

WHO said that Peter didn’t have a wife?? We hear about his mother-in-law in the Gospels (Matt. 8:14, Mark 1:29-31, Luke 14).

TWO things to remember:
1. It is assumed that Peter’s wife was dead at this point. Not ONE mention of her being present at her mother’s side or afterward. It would have been bizarre for her NOT to have served and attended to her guests, and instead have her mother do it.

2. The Biblical discipline of clerical celibacy was NOT yet in effect until much later.

Don’t just “read” the Bible.
Try to learn what it is saying . . .

He said, “Hail, Kecharitomene.”
