Precious brother, praying for you...--according to His will/thelema/boule--not my will @Cyd. There's a reason why I'm struggling in that area-rejection.
Much appreciated, @GRACE ambassador. As a young lad, I was rejected by my dad and tried all sorts of sports to win his approval. I excelled in every area but was never good enough for my dad. This struggle continues to this day, making it difficult for me to see my Heavenly Father loving me unconditionally. However, I am reminded of God's love through His Word.Precious brother, praying for you...
I feel God has you in a good place easy for you it should be to do this:Much appreciated, @GRACE ambassador. As a young lad, I was rejected by my dad and tried all sorts of sports to win his approval. I excelled in every area but was never good enough for my dad. This struggle continues to this day, making it difficult for me to see my Heavenly Father loving me unconditionally. However, I am reminded of God's love through His Word.
Romans 8:38-39 assures us, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Additionally, 1 John 3:1 says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God." And in Psalm 27:10, we find comfort in knowing, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."
Good to hear from you!
Shalom to you and family

Greetings and peace be with you in the name of Jesus Christ. Thanks SteVen for posting those scriptures, the interesting thing was I was give word searches and this verse about Peter came up in both word searches hahaha So do you think sheep are common people yet are to be a witness for the Lord acknowledging Him when asked with this verse?
1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
So direction for sheep?
I do not believe in the different ages you talk about. Were we spirit before, yes and God knew us. Jesus said that basically with this:Difference between free will and divine Selection.
Were talking about those who have free will. One group. Jesus won't intervene in thier lives, unless they ask.
John chapter 6 .
6::38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine will, but the one of Him who sent Me.
Jesus came to do will of God
Obedience
The sheep are teachers, which serve Jesus. God expects us to study the bible and produce fruit for God. It's sharing Gods truth with others.
6:44. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him, and I will raise him up last day.
Those with free will can choose to follow satan or Jesus. Many people choose to walk in the flesh, ways of the world.
Those who have free will don't want to carry their cross daily.
Persecution doesn't appeal to them.
Temptation or lust or money or prestige lures them down different path. There free to choose their path.
Divine Selection. These are Election.
Romans chapter 8
Chapter 11
First Peter chapter 1
Isaiah chapter 65
The election were judged, and selected by God in first earth age. Were in second earth age.
The Elect don't have free will. Jesus will intervene in election lives.
Acts chapter 9
Jesus struck Paul down on road to Damascus. Paul is one of God's Elect.
The election have no choice to carry their cross daily and follow Jesus.
I don't have time to go on.
If you don't understand
I recommend doing study with shepherds chapel on YouTube. Pastor murray.
Title of CD
Election
It's free bible study.
Pastor murray tells us the truth, sound doctrine.
You are right about the sheep and feeding I have been researching them haha To me the feeding is the word of God and out of the mouth of God that Messiah instructed.Greetings and peace be with you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Don't mind, would want to refresh the passage again where Jesus inquire Peter three times. The first time Jesus said to him, "Feed My lambs." Second time, "Feed My sheep." And the third, "Feed My sheep."
There is another Bible version i can't remember, that read, on the third time Jesus said, "Tend to My sheep."
In this version am not sure of the other passages, but for this passage i find it fascinating this comes inline with the duties of a Shepherd or His servants in assist with the flocks.
Apparently, lambs need baby feed, and sheep need adult feed, and likewise both need tending to, by the owner Shepherd or His servants. And tending to them, one might find some possibility of harm or distress, that one must take steps to nurture them back.
But overall, am sticking to the KJV, but for thought what do you reckon of it, thank you?
I thought this might be an interesting topic and see different opinions.
To me where to start is in reading the 4 Gospels, I would start in the book of John. To me you can't know Jesus till you read His words you can't depend on just hearing other people. Then He will bring them to your remembrance.
What would you tell a New Christian as to where to start and what the goal is?
The goal of disciple?
Matthew 16:24 (KJV) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
The goal of a sheep with the Lord as only shepherd to personally hear Him?
John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Is there a difference between being a sheep and being a disciple?
What means: disciple? vs being a sheep?
Do sheep have eternal life? or do you have to be a disciple?
John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, "If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
KJV
Think about what Jesus said there above, especially in that 32nd verse. How will continuing in His Word cause one to "...know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"?
Does that come just by belief on Jesus Christ as God's promised Savior? First belief is just the start. Discipline in His Word comes next (2 Timothy 2:15).
How again will that discipline in study of His Word make you free?
IF... we listen to Him in His Word, and not to man and men's doctrines, then by staying in God's Word as written, we will know the Truth, and thus NO ONE, not some man, nor some religious system, nor some spirit, no one, will be able to sway you from that Truth. And by that truly, you will be FREE from Satan's deceptions and lies of this present world.
By doing that, you will know what God approves of, and what He disapproves of. And you will know past, present, and future so that men's fears and doctrines cannot fool you nor upset you about the future. You will know what God has set to happen in the future, while those who are not disciples will be in the dark, wandering and wondering what this world and the future is about.
I looked up Arnold murray there are some video's out on youtube if anyone wants to take a listen. He passed away over 10 years ago, and personally it was hard to find info on him said he called himself Dr, that is bothersome to me. He also never wrote a book, another thing I would flag about him.Hebrews chapter 5
The congregation should be teachers of God's word, after 20 years. Sadly, many Christian people are still on milk bottles. Biblically illiterate. They have no Spirtual Growth !,
John chapter 15.
Jesus expects discipline, and branches, which are Christian people, to produce fruit for God.
Teaching sound doctrine.
A Christian who is biblically illiterate is of no use to God. Knowledge of Gods word is essential to produce fruit for God .
Without spirtual growth, the Christian lacks knowledge of Gods word.
Second Peter chapter 3
Verse 5 to verse 6.
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. Verse 6.
Talking about first earth age. All of God's children were in spirtual bodys. Satan led a rebellion against God, one third of God's children followed satan in first earth age.
Instead of destroying one third of His children. God sent the Kadabal. It's world wide flood. All the dinosaurs died.
God shook the foundation of the earth. We have 4 seasons a year. Turbulence in weather patterns.
First earth age was subtropical. Archeologists dug up woolly mammoths. Found BUTTER CUPS in mouth of them. This is in Alaska.
Revelation chapter 12
Satan had a political system in first earth age. One third of God's children followed satan in first earth age. Satan was sitting on Mercy seat.
How did this happen ???
God wasn't reading the minds of His children, prior to satan rebellion. God thought all his children loved Him.
If no one believes in 3 world ages. It's ok with me.
My job is to tell the truth and plant seeds for Jesus.
Corinthians chapter 2 .
Not everyone has the holy spirit. Some people have spirit of stupor. They won't understand the meat of God's word. They have spirtual blinders on.
Those who have spirit of slumber wont understand mystery of God.
What's your credibility ???
I studied under pastor Arnold murray and his son Dennis for 20 years. Shepherds chapel.
I'm gifted and trained in Gods word.
I deliver the message. Its their business what they do with it.
Awesome reply thank you for your input .. and my word search today was Blessed them Be Attitudes. I am blessed and thank the Lord for it for sure. His word is truth I feel Jesus included us in this prayer of John 17FOLLOW ME! signed JESUS, What does it mean to you?
Follow…means Observe, Listen, Hear Gods word.
Hear the Word of God.
Hearing Gods Word is a recipient of Gods Blessing of Faith.
Recipients of Gods Blessing of FAITH begin recognizing their Blessings are from God.
Continue Following, Continue Increase of Gods Blessing of Faith.
Continue IN Gods Blessing of INCREASED FAITH you are Becoming PREPARED TO Declare unto the Lord…
(By testimony of “your word” via the thoughts of “your spirit in your heart”)
YOUR “true” Heartful Belief Of and IN the Lord God Almighty.
ONCE ^^^^THAT^^^^occurs…
The Lord God Himself SEARCHES the Heart of THAT individual to see, check, assure, that his testimony BE TRUE (or not).
IF his testimony BE TRUE…(WHICH…only the Individual and the Lord God Himself KNOW what IS IN that mans heart)…
THEN IS that mans…
* Body crucified..with Jesus’ Body…Accounted Spiritually Dead, SANCTIFI-ED, Spiritually Risen IN Christ’s Body.
* Soul restored…ie SAVED, restored to good.
* Spirit quickened…ie a Recipient of Gods SEED, and born again (of Gods SEED).
IF…THEN Knowledge IS revealed IN Scripture….Each individual’s Liberty is to Exercise his OWN Freewill (Choosing).
Glory to God,
Taken
Well I was pondering this scripture regarding this:It just occurred to me what the difference between a disciple and sheep might be.
Sheep = passive follower
Disciple = active follower
- A sheep follows the other sheep who follow the shepherd.
- A disciple is not dependent on the other sheep to follow, only the shepherd.
- If the sheep go the wrong way, the disciple knows well enough not to follow.
What does that say about the church today?
The Great Commission is not to go into all the world and make sheep.
] cc: @Cyd
It's referring to a non-owner shepherd. (that ran away) The owner (Jesus) would not run away. He lays down his life for the sheep.Well I was pondering this scripture regarding this:
John 10:12 (KJV) But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
So doesn't that mean the owner of the sheep? Do you think as Christs ministry with His disciples was 3 1/2 years has a meaning of maybe being in the gospels that long first? Interesting too I found with some research that ewe's birthing years are from 3-6 years of age. So the disciple then reached maturity spending that length of time under Christs teaching... to me is gospels, knowing His words. Moving then to feeding sheep?
Sheep and disciple are one in the same in His teaching. We are to follow Him, we are to learn from Him, we are to take direction from Him.I thought this might be an interesting topic and see different opinions.
