Judaism is literally a religion that teaches that tenet--that the life of an innocent takes away the sins of the guilty. That is God's idea.
Idk even know.
You can believe any lie you want, true, and I'll believe Scripture which I have shown to you.
10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

Christ's Sacrifice Once for All

10 For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? 3 But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5 Consequently, when Christ[a] came into the world, he said,

“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”
8 When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9 then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ[b] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”
17 then he adds,

“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Sure.

I just dont rely solely on sola scriptura. I am not worried about if you believe I am right or wrong. I am just stating that Jesus Christ ... laid his life down for the Father, adn the whole world. Otherwise the Gentiles would have never been brought in... So sorry if you are offended by your already held on to belief, I believe it is wrong to discredit the death of Jesus to only believers... when he did it for all.
Yup, and His life He laid down is only applicable to His friends. You reject that. I can't help you, I've shown you Scripture, and you hate it. What more can I do?

Oh sure, he did lay his life down for his friends to but not only them. He ate with sinners.

Yeah, God relates to all as their Savior, and yet only the believers live in that reality.

And, yes, God doesn't remember the sins of those who partake in the New Covenant. I agree. Those who do not partake, however, are under God's severity.

This is not difficult to understand. It is not obscure. You just want to hold to your own ideas which are contrary to God's Word. What can I do other than show you what God says? You don't like what God has to say apparently.

You'll just have to work it out for yourself. @GracePeace. Doing that here will never serve you justice, I can assure you that. May you be encouraged to continue to grow in the Lord.

Luke 15 is about sinners who had repented--the prodigal sons who had decided to come back home. They were "lost" and now they were "found". Christ never told people "go and sin some more" He said "Go and sin NO MORE".

I don't have anything to work out along these lines other than where those who pay for their own sins, instead of having Christ as the payment, will go after they "get out" since "the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom".

Well, hope that you will one day stop sinning completely. There is a lot that one as to do to stop sinning, and that is probably having to deal with death, once it's fully grown within us.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Guess this scripture can be thrown away.

I don't believe in sinless perfectionism, but the Scripture does say...

1 Peter 4
1Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Oh cool. You are a smart woman or man either way it goes. Quick on the whip. Are you a college student for religious studies?

My point was that you wanted to say "Christ dined with sinners" as if that could overturn the reality that He laid down life (ie, the payment for sins) only applies to His friends, because only His friends abide in Him, which means that that reality is only real for those who accept the truth, which is God's Word, Christ--the rest are not "availed" anything (Gal 5:2).

1. "I am what I am by the grace of God" 1 Co 15.
2. I went to hell in 2003, and I was smashed into billions of pieces, because I listened to a pastor instead of listening to God, and I have been studying, looking for firm foundations, since 2009. Most answers come when you pray. We are not good at anything but finding problems we cannot answer.
3. I've always been the kid who had all the answers from my earliest memories ("Teacher, why does he always have his hand up?")--it's just the grace of God for me--but I have struggled mightily with understanding Scripture, until I prayed. Only through prayer can you understand Scripture. It is not within our ability.

Why do you make the death of Christ, almost out like John Calvin?

Idk why you can't say that Jesus death was for all people then... You say it is only for his friends.

You also understand that while you are in Christ today, you are to build up spiritual foundation, spiritual treasures, for yourself at the end of your life by and for your love for God and others... that means others who are your enemies, or even unbelievers.

No, you're misrepresenting me. I didn't say His death wasn't "for" all people, but that it is only effective for His friends, who can be of any and all people. It's for all, and anyone can partake, but not all do--they pay for their own sins, and "Christ does not avail them anything" (Gal 5:2).

You twist scripture when you do that, but that is okay cause you are okay with it.

Yes, we must be born again. So?

God has already set the precedent that He has disinherited His children before (Dt 32:5; Hos 1).

Christ says we must abide. We've discussed this before. It isn't just believing one time. It's maintaining belief, and it's maintaining loving others--that is how we "abide".

The eternal life is indeed eternal, the issue is that it is "in His Son" (1 Jn 5:11)--those who abide in Him continue receiving the Spirit that is only in Him, those who do not get cut off and thrown in the fire.
You did it again.

Jesus said they will NEVER DIE. And they will LIVE FOREVER

Please show me where Jesus told nicodemus that those promises will only come true if Nicodemus abides in him.

Please show me why Jesus lied. And or did not give him the whole truth
