By this you say that the Bible is inferior or not complete without the “creed”.

Without simple obedience in the Faith, found in the Apostles Creed, which obviously points to the holy Scriptures, which thing you would have know, if you understood it.

Who told you to replace the Bible?

And who told you about superiority?

When I was very young, I memorized that Creed. I did not own nor at that time had I ever read the Bible, but I did believe God.

Today, I can quote very little from scripture verbatim although God helps me at times to find something that applies to a real situation. One exception to my inability to retain in my memory any scriptures is certainly what is often known to us as the Lord's Prayer. Consider my experience with that prayer:

As a devout young Catholic boy, [which I have posted on this forum before]... when I would confess my sins to the priest, he would then ask me upon leaving the confessional but before leaving the building to do a penance which often consisted of saying the prayer, "Our Father" [Matt 6:9-13] a certain number of times. Anxious to get on with my day and my own activities [having fun of course] I became very proficient in reciting that 'prayer' super fast so as to fulfill the letter of what the priest had required of me without "wasting" time. Thus whether the penance was three times or 10 times, I was soon out of there and ready to do my own things... as God had been for the moment handled... or so I thought!

One of those times after confession when I went out to do my 'super-fast' penance, God smote my heart about what I had done so many times in the past and was about to do one more time. At the time I did not own and had never read the Bible, but I see now that these words applied to what I had been doing:

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." Matt 15:8

Even though I did not know that verse God spoke its meaning to my heart. From that day forward for as long as I was a formal believing practicing Catholic, no more idle words came out of my mouth when doing penance. I prayed each 'Our Father' carefully thinking about the meaning of those words and just who it was that I was talking to... They had been idle words for me, but they were no longer idle! I spoke the words of the prayer slowly thinking about what they meant or should mean to me.

I have not been a practicing Catholic for more than 50 years, but that and several other things I learned from God as a Catholic are still in my heart.

As to the Apostle's Creed, the once memorized words have long since been forgotten. Reading through them in your OP they came back to me immediately. As a Catholic without a Bible, they were a basis for what I believed. Now, knowing the Bible in a measure, I see where the words came from... As to the designation of certain phrases to particular Apostles, I cannot vouch for that, but I am not a historian although I do know a little history.

I am not against Peter [Simon Peter] but I can only follow him or Paul [Saul] as each of them or any man follows Christ.

For many years as a practicing follower of Christ I have always begun my talks, prayers, devotions, studies with the Lord by reciting the "Lord's Prayer". The words have meaning. They are only vain repetition to someone who simply mouths them vainly.

So then how does one avoid taking the mark of the beast? Is carnal man not a beast?

The Apostles Creed = Simple Faith.
The Lord's prayer = Hope.
Charity = the commandments of God.

We can avoid the mark of the Beast by holding on to simple Faith, and enduring his relentless attacks.

Inorder to be a man one needs a body and a soul.

Body = Animal
Soul = Angel

What is man?

You did not "provide" anything against Peter being the bedrock.

1 Peter 2:5, Peter uses the word λίθον which means "building stones", not rock (πέτρᾳ) found in Matthew 16:18.

He even uses a play on words, by saying, living stones, instead of building stones.

Our Lord Jesus is the wise builder, he chose his bedrock(peter), upon which he laid his foundation upon, and set down the most important Stone: the corner Stone(Jesus), and built up his Church.

It is not my wish for you to take the mark of the Beast.

But our Lord adds that Peter is the bedrock of his Church.

Note our Lord does not say foundation or cornerstone.

It is possible to have more than one role.

It is not my mission to tell you which one to pick.

My mission here is to warn Christians who either forgot it or omit it.

But if you are a Master, as you claim your are, then you need not worry.

The warning is not for you then, but others who know little of the Faith.

Bur for all else it is good to recite the Apostles Creed both morning & night, as a defense against errors, and a simple weapon to combat the Anti-christ.
