Our spirit as in mine, yours was spiritually dead...yet we had a spirit...only it wasn’t / hadn’t been brought from death to life with Christ.

It says he has determined before hand that we will (not might) be conformed to his image.

How can you have any hope in God if you do bot believe his basic promise?

We are to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Praying means talking to the Lord. In doing so, God teaches us a better understanding of his will. You might call that "going outside of scripture," but that is exactly what we are supposed to do - pray constantly - and it's in scripture.

But when David said God knew him before he was in his mothers womb (before he was even born)

then we should use our brains as you say, And take David at his word.

Again, God is outside of time,, We should not bring him down to our level as if he did not know what would happen.
