Raising Godly Tomatoes, The Bible, and a lot of reference books. I'm not a big reader. I'm more of a researcher. I like interesting ideas, but I can't focus long on fiction.

It’s probably still right. How many books does the average American read a year? Well it’s the same as how many miles the average American runs a year. Zero lol.View attachment 54602
* I don’t know the source of this chart. I guess I might should label it “For Entertainment Purposes Only. *
and listened to 140 books last year,
I’ve not read it. I’ve not actually heard of him. But the book seems interesting. I’ll have to read it and see if the summaries did it justice. Seems sort of like he is applying Christian stories to the constellations. Almost like combining theology with celestial folklore. If so, I’ll definitely enjoy it as a syncretist. I am curious how well versed he was with ancient Egyptian, Mesopotamian and Greek mythology christianizes it as he reimagines the power of storytelling. I’ll especially enjoy it this winter. I like to stargaze in winter since no bugs to bother me at night, feels nice and cool and gets dark early on. Was looking at Orion yesterday. The witness of the stars
by Bullinger, E. W. (Ethelbert William), 1837-1913
Anyone else read this one ?
Yes , I also like to peer into the night sky . I do some praying outside in the dark under the stars and the moon . Found a verse .I like to stargaze in winter since no bugs to bother me at night, feels nice and cool and gets dark early on. Was looking at Orion yesterday.
Well in his defense neither does the overwhelming majority of Christians. About the only ones that really do still on have super good grasps on selections of the Bible and they are from biblical scholarship. The ones that can read the original language and translate it. Then we read their translations and are heavily influenced by their required interpretations for the bulk of it.My neighbour tells me he's read the bible 5 times. I ask him, 'do you understand what it's saying' He tells me no, yet still argues from it. I wonder how that works?
