We gather together here and possibly at other Christian forums.

And we debate not using traditional debate protocols so that it ends up as arguing, as to what our, "my" , personal relationship with God is.

The New Testament for Christians is a love letter to us. Because we have a personal relationship with the Creator of all that exists.

Have you noticed though?

We don't share like a family does.

We argue about who is right about what it means to have that relationship with God.
As if it is imperative we all see Him through the same lens.

The Gospel is rather simple.

No one comes to Jesus unless The Father calls them.

Believe and you shall be saved.

That Salvation is a free irrevocable (Impossible to retract or revoke) gift by God's grace (unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification,a virtue coming from God,a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.).

It isn't of our own doing, it is God's gift.
Gift.

Do we labor to keep a gift? Do we worry irrevocable doesn't mean what God intended?

The Lambs Book of Life has our names written in it . We who are elected by God unto His grace. And we were chosen before He created anything we know.

Why argue as to what it means to be Saved? Who are we trying to convince using our personal relationship perspective as one who abides in God? And He in us?

Did the Disciples do this?

The peace of Christ.

But not in BDF's? Bible Discussion Forums?

That is very true. I hope I can be vulnerable here and show some message board hospitality. I want people to see something attractive in the way we engage each other on here.
I do too Wynona. BUT IDK why anyone can post here. Why dont they have to agree to statement of faith? why the cults who deny the BASIC truths about the Lord Jesus are posting all over is beyond me. They infiltrate threads and bring in their divisive false teachings and we wonder why there is no harmony?

II don't know if Im the best person to answer. Enforcing the same rules of discussion in the terms of service to all posters seems to be the way the forum goes about maintaining harmony.

I believe you can still report people for teaching against the statement of faith so the moderators can address it.

1 Corinthians chapter 2:10 to 2:16

You need holy spirit.

Some people have spirit of stupor. They can't understand the deep truth of God's word.

Holy spirit gives discernment. Some people can't discern between good fruit and bad fruit.

Matthew chapter 7

Few will enter narrow gate. Many will go through wide gate.

You need holy spirit to guide you.

That's what I also had in mind. Especially today, Christians are divided. Christians have all sorts of religions claiming they are the real ones and the only ones who will be saved. But have they forgotten?

1 Corinthians 1:12-13
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

So why don't we stop talking about 'us' and just worship God? Just because your friend will be saved doesn't mean you will also be saved. Let's stop finding faults with each other and focus on our own faults.

Galatians 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

One thing the troll kind do accomplish. They challenge us to walk scriptures talk.
true. If I wasnt raised in a cult I dont know if I ever would have picked up my bible to read it IN CONTEXT.
Having said that though--
but i have seen many here duped by them, (clicking like etc) they dont see how they quote out of context and combine texts that dont go together to form new doctrines. Maybe my concern for others isnt warranted but I just would like to spare them any agony if I can.

It is a dangerous game when you, personally, think that you know who does and does not "know Jesus". It is too much like the Pharisee in Luke 18:9-14. The Pharisee didn't go there either.

That's not true.

We know the Pharisees by weight of their office ,went there.

That's why they wanted Yeshua killed under the charge of blasphemy.

Furthermore, we are told we can know who is in Christ and Christ in them so to use righteous judgement in discernment.

By their fruits we know them!

The mistake false teaching makes when people buy into it is to imagine Christians are never to judge anyone.

That's not true either.

Some seem to take a verse(s) of Scripture and insist it stands alone in what it teaches.

That is where the confusion and false teaching enters in.

Scripture is in harmony with the spiritual truth and reality of God. It must be understood in context.

I think that's what it means to be in The Word.

If you are referring to Matthew 7, it was false prophets that were identified by their fruits.

WHAT IF i told you that I DO know what I speak of? What if I told you it is a simple as believing them? WHAT if I told you they admit it & are proud of it? WHAT then?
Speaking of not speaking about things that you know nothing about. wow.

Beautiful post, my sister. Amen.
I have never met so many combative angry people than I have on this forum. It's a very poor reflection of the Christianity that I know in real life.
It's such a simple message of love. So beautiful, so unburdened, so freeing and so undeserved, so amazing. pheart

First you said this:
Why dont they have to agree to statement of faith? why the cults who deny the BASIC truths about the Lord Jesus are posting all over is beyond me. They infiltrate threads and bring in their divisive false teachings and we wonder why there is no harmony?
Then you said this:
Beautiful post, my sister. Amen.
I have never met so many combative angry people than I have on this forum. It's a very poor reflection of the Christianity that I know in real life.
It's such a simple message of love. So beautiful, so unburdened, so freeing and so undeserved, so amazing. pheart
And here was the perfect response:
It is a dangerous game when you, personally, think that you know who does and does not "know Jesus". It is too much like the Pharisee in Luke 18:9-14. The Pharisee didn't go there either.
AMEN

Again...
Are you part of the problem, or a part of the solution?

Love builds bridges, not walls.
