If you don't know then you don't know.

PS
Scripture says the two witnesses lat in the street of the great city where their Lord was crucified.

Their Lord was not crucified in Vatican city.He was crucified in Jerusalem which the beast and ten horns attack. The prostitute.
Your question is flawed, wrongly presumptuos.

Jerusalem is not the woman turned prostitute of Revelation 17. That woman sits on many waters, Revelation 17: 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

The Vatican has that sort of influence throughout the world, through the RCC.

Amen read Ezekiel 16 and then revelation 18 they are talking about the same city.

Jesus tells us who Babylon the great the great prostitute is by directly tying revelation 18:24 to Matthew 23:35
I disagree. If that was the case, then why is it called "Mystery Babylon"? There's no mystery about Babylon in your interpretation of it.

Babylon is the mother of ALL harlots (Rev 17:5) of which Jerusalem was one. Jerusalem is not the mother of all harlots. Sodom and Egypt are two other harlots with Babylon as their mother (Rev 11:8). Earthly Babylon was another.

Jerusalem has never "reigned over the kings of the earth" (Rev 17:18).

Jerusalem was never "the hold of EVERY foul spirit, and a cage of EVERY unclean and hateful bird." (Rev 18:2).

Not "ALL nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of" Jerusalem's fornication (Rev 18:3).

Don't be fooled. The book of Revelation is about Jesus Christ and His church and the enemies of His church just like every other New Testament book. It is not about earthly Jerusalem at all. The great city Mystery Babylon, is the direct spiritual opposite of the holy city New Jerusalem, which is "the bride, the Lamb's wife" (Rev 21:9), which is the church. All believers are spiritual citizens of the new heavenly Jerusalem (Heb 12:22) while all unbelievers are spiritual citizens of Mystery Babylon.

According to revelation ,the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall bring the prostitute to ruin and burn her with fire.At the same time ,they kill the two witnessss of Jesus .

Revelation 17
16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Revelation 11
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Now we understand this takes place at the same time because of the great earthquake which hits Jerusalem when the cloud ascends from Jerusalem.

Revelation 11
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Revelation 16:18-19
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Moreover ,the reason God gives Babylon the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath is because babylon worships the beast that came out of the sea,it's image and receives it mark.

Revelation 14
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

So the question is,What are they who come in Jesus name ,doing in Babylon to begin with with?

The answer is,
They come in Jesus name and decieve the people in Jerusalem to receive the mark of the beast.

Jesus spoke of the coming of the two witnesses and their army at the beginning of his Olivet discourse.

Mathew 24
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Not everyone who comes in Jesus name speak the truth ,and not everyone who say they are in Christ are .The two prophets in revelation 11 and their army will decieve the people in Israel and they will receive the mark of the beast. That is what the two witnesses who come in Jesus name are doing with the prostitute.
Associating the two witnesses with the prostitute Babylon is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. This cannot be taken seriously at all.

All believers are spiritual citizens of the new heavenly Jerusalem (Heb 12:22) while all unbelievers are spiritual citizens of Mystery Babylon.
Below are 10 biblical points bible that tie first century Jerusalem to Babylon the great.

1) Ezekiel 16 and Revelation 18

If you read Ezekiel chapter 16 you will see that God mentions that Jerusalem prostituted herself to the nations. See how it resembles Revelation chapter 18 as God judges that great prostitute who the kings of the earth commit adultery with. There are many similarities between Ezekiel 16 and Revelation 18.

2) The woman in the wilderness.

In Revelation 12:6 & 12:14 the woman (Israel) is taken into the wilderness for protection for a set time. We then find a women in the wilderness in Revelation 17:3 sitting on a beast as John is taken into the wilderness to see. This woman is called the great prostitute. The name on her forehead is

Babylon the great
the mother of prostitutes
and of the abominations of the earth.

If this wasn’t the same woman in Revelation 12 then what happened to the woman in Revelation 12 after the set time?

3) The great city

Babylon the great is called "the great city" in Revelation 17:18 and Revelation 18:21. Not "a great city" but "the great city". A great city could be one of many great cities, but "the great city" could only be one city. Revelation 11:8 says that "the great city" is the city where our lord was crucified. Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem.

4) 1 Peter 5:13 states she who is in Babylon greets you.

This shows that the saints knew who Babylon was at that time. It has been said that the "she" in Babylon was the church in Jerusalem where it is believed that Peter lived at that time.

5) The woman dressed in scarlet and gold.

In Revelation 17:4 the woman is dressed in scarlet, gold and precious stones. Jeremiah 4:30 also says that Jerusalem is dressed in scarlet jewels and gold.

6) Your lovers will despise and kill you.

Both Jerusalem in Jeremiah 4:30-31 and Babylon the great in Revelation 17 are killed by her lovers.

Some people believe that Babylon the great will be the city that a future antichrist
known as the beast will rule from. In Revelation 17:16-17 it says that the beast and
the 10 horns will hate the prostitute and bring her to ruin because God had put it into
their hearts to accomplish his purpose. Why would the beast destroy the city or
empire that he rules from? Rome who I believe to be the beast did destroy Jerusalem.

In 70AD Rome did destroy Jerusalem for Gods purpose.

7) The nations will mourn

Jeremiah 4:28 says the earth will mourn at the destruction of Jerusalem. Revelation 18:9,11,15 and 19 all say that the kings, merchants and all who work on the seas will mourn at the destruction of Babylon the great.

8) The cup of Gods wrath

Both Jerusalem and Babylon the great drink the cup of Gods wrath. Isaiah 51:17 & Revelation 16:19

9) A queen and a widow.

In Revelation 18:7 Babylon the great says "I sit as queen I will never be a widow". Jerusalem in Lamentations 1:1-2 is described as a queen who is now a widow. Both Babylon the great and Jerusalem’s friends betray and destroy them.

10) All who have been killed on the earth. This is the most important point.

Revelation 18:20
20 “Rejoice over her, you heavens!
Rejoice, you people of God!
Rejoice, apostles and prophets!
For God has judged her
with the judgment she imposed on you.”

Revelation 18:24
24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people,
of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

Revelation 18:20 says that Babylon the great killed both the saints and the prophets. Revelation 18:24 says Babylon the great is responsible for all of the blood of the saints and prophets and all that have been killed on the earth.

Only Israel is responsible for killing both the prophets and the saints.

Now read what Jesus said in Matthew 23:35 as he was prophesying about the destruction of Jerusalem

35And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

Jesus was saying that Jerusalem just like Babylon the great is responsible for and will be judged of all the blood that has been shed on the earth. They must be one and the same. This is prophecy fulfilled.

At the time on Matthew 23:35 the saints where not yet killed. The Jews shortly there after started their persecution of the saints.

When did the Lord say the Vatican is his wife?

Ezekiel 16
16 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.

4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.

9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.

15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord God.

20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

22 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord God;)

24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.

25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied therewith.

30 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord God, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;

31 In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

32 But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!

33 They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.

34 And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.

35 Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the Lord:

36 Thus saith the Lord God; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

41 And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

I understand that some traits of mystery Babylon are similar to ancient Jerusalem, but it seems you ignored my points completely, as I don't see that you addressed them anywhere here.

Jerusalem does not fit the whole description of Mystery Babylon. History did not end in 70 AD and Revelation is not a book that only talks about what happened until 70 AD.

As I said, which you didn't address, the great city Mystery Babylon is the mother of ALL harlots (Rev 17:5). That does not describe Jerusalem, which is just one of the many harlots with Babylon as their mother, including ancient Sodom and Egypt (Revelation 11:8) and earthly Babylon.

Also, Jerusalem never reigns over the kings of the earth (Rev 17:18).

Jerusalem was never "hold of EVERY foul spirit, and a case of EVERY hateful and unclean bird" (Rev 18:2).

Not "ALL nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of" Jerusalem's fornication.

Please address these points instead of merely telling me how Jerusalem shares some traits with Mystery Babylon, as I already know and don't deny, while not addressing the fact that some of Mystery Babylon's other traits do not describe Jerusalem.

As I said, the great city Mystery Babylon is the direct spiritual opposite of the holy city New Jerusalem. All believers are citizens of the holy city, New Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22, Gal 4:26) while all unbelievers are citizens of the great city, Mystery Babylon.

I just have to tell it like it on this one. This interpretation of Revelation 12 is terrible. The woman of Revelation 12 is not earthly Jerusalem. That's impossible. Her only children are Jesus Himself and "the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 12:17). The woman represents heavenly Jerusalem, not earthly Jerusalem, since her children are Christ and those who belong to Christ.

Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

The Revelation 12 woman and the great prostitute woman are the antithesis of each other! To equate them is ludicrous!

Preterism is a false end times doctrinal system that you should disregard and abandon. The book of Revelation is about Jesus and His church and the enemies of Jesus and His church. It covers the time since Christ's birth up to His future second coming and beyond (new heavens and new earth).

I’m trying to understand what you’re saying here. Are you saying that the two witnesses are evil? —that they come to deceive people?

You was resurected ,in 70 ad?
You literally came up out of a grave did you?
That's not how it works. I believe the first resurrection refers not to people coming out of their graves, but it refers to the returning of eternal life, which was taken from us in the garden. And so, yes, I was resurrected (given eternal life) back in 70 AD. Or maybe it was when Jesus was resurrected, I'm not sure. Somewhere around there.

Scripture does not say what these two witnesses of Jesus Christ testify, good or evil.Yea they may be telling lies.

But it does say they torment people and kill people.
Do you think they are good disciples of Jesus Christ tormenting and killing people?

Is that what we are supposed to do?
If it is,then I'm.not a very good disciple .I haven't killed anyone and I can't stand up see people tormented.

Jerusalem is not a distant memory according to the word of God.As of now ,Jerusalem is governed by the beast which had the deadly wound and was healed. In a few years she will the judged.

Isaiah 1
21 See how the faithful city
has become a prostitute!
She once was full of justice;
righteousness used to dwell in her—
but now murderers!
22 Your silver has become dross,
your choice wine is diluted with water.
23 Your rulers are rebels,
partners with thieves;
they all love bribes
and chase after gifts.
They do not defend the cause of the fatherless;
the widow’s case does not come before them.
24 Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
the Mighty One of Israel, declares:
“Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes
and avenge myself on my enemies.
25 I will turn my hand against you;[b]
I will thoroughly purge away your dross
and remove all your impurities.
26 I will restore your leaders as in days of old,
your rulers as at the beginning.
Afterward you will be called
the City of Righteousness,
the Faithful City.”
That is incorrect. All of Revelation was fulfilled in the first century AD. Although, the new Jerusalem is certainly not a distant memory, the old Jerusalem is.

Amen read Ezekiel 16 and then revelation 18 they are talking about the same city.

Jesus tells us who Babylon the great the great prostitute is by directly tying revelation 18:24 to Matthew 23:35
100%. All the references are clear, and tie things together nicely. It seems so obvious now, but there was a time when I too was confused about the harlot. I don't know why it's so hard to see.

p.s. I'm not sure why but this board is replacing my word "c o n f u s e d" with an emoji. Is there a way to tell it to stop doing that?

That's not how it works. I believe the first resurrection refers not to people coming out of their graves, but it refers to the returning of eternal life, which was taken from us in the garden. And so, yes, I was resurrected (given eternal life) back in 70 AD. Or maybe it was when Jesus was resurrected, I'm not sure. Somewhere around there.

According to the word of God,the people who are resurected in the first resurection were killed for their testimony of Jesus Christ.

Were you killed for your testimony of Jesus Christ like Stephan was,and then you rose from.the dead like Jesus did?

Luke 21
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
All those things happened in 70 AD. Scary time.

Well, I guess it depends how you look at it. We were all "killed" in the sense that our eternal life was taken from us (and when I say "us" I mean humanity in general). On the other hand, perhaps it refers only to those who died before the resurrection, in which case all of those people were resurrected in a more strict sense, as in rising from literal death. Either way, the resurrection happened in 70 AD, and today we have eternal life.
