Yes, it made them knowledgeable instead of simply 'knowing' the truth. Truth precedes thoughts and feelings, however, knowledge dictates that thoughts and feelings precede Truth - which is a falsehood.

Hiding their sexual parts points to the outcome of self based knowledge of what gives them pleasure instead of Truth. Their new concepts of truth, love and faith change from unconditionality to self-imposed conditionality. They became self-centered instead of God-centered. Their reference point in life shifted from honesty to dishonesty, from harmony to disharmony.

Eve told God she was seduced.
Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Scripture says Cain's father was the devil.
1Jn 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The gift of the Holy Ghost is eternal life.

No, sorry jshii, you will never see Jesus by looking at a Christian. Whether one looks past the flesh or not, for, it is not the flesh that is sinful, but the heart can be, as God created everything good.
In other words, the only reason that Jesus said, '...to see me, is to see the Father...', is because they were one in spirit (not ontology). One in spirit, in the same way that Jesus exhorted us all to become one with them, in the same way that they are one.
So, until a Christian can make that claim, you won't see Jesus by looking at a Christian. You might see faith or hope, or some semblance of righteousness, but not Jesus, ...maybe a John Knox or Paul Bunyan, etc, but definitely not Jesus.

Thank you for your question, and for your thoughts on this subject, for it is thought provoking.

What was lost was innocence wasn't it? For having received the knowledge of good and evil man was thereby responsible for his actions, therefore accountable, and subject to judgement. Salvation by God's wondrous grace, brought forgiveness of sin, the imputation of God's righteousness, and the declaration of, 'Not Guilty' for the sinner, on the basis of the sacrificial work of Christ.

The state of innocence returned (in God's eyes, in Christ Jesus), peace with God, and the hope of an eternity spent within His presence.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The breath of life is what we call the Holy Ghost, which is eternal life.

Adam and Eve lost eternal life and the rest of the bible is about regaining it. Jesus has done that for us.

Maybe some people are just really smart, what does knowing good and evil have to do with anything? Sometimes its good to be smart that way people wont have to walk all over you and decieved you in ways they think they can. I dont know why society tries to eliminate knowledge in this world, if anything i think its what this world need most with all the deception in it. Its one thing to love your brothers and sisters but what happens to that love when that love was betrayed. Before people try to love someone, they should atleast fill themselves with the Lord and his spirit first knowing Jesus spirit is the only thing that can make love true and pure without any deceit. I truly do wonder why people hate knowledge so much now. I am starting to see why now. Because people dont like the truth. So they try to keep the truth out of this world and be blinded by love instead. But how many times is love being betrayed today? I dont know who you people are or what games you are playing but maybe its about time you stop because im getting pretty mad...

There must be a difference in the way we normally are. So different that we no longer see our 'self' as we were. Even how we see the body/vessel/vehicle given to use to use as a visible expression of God's will on this earth. What would make such a difference in perspective?

Is not a true human being a Being, instead of our 'self', being expressed.
Is not the inner being, the spirit of God, moved from innermost to be expressed at the outermost of the human.
Is not the true human being walking in absolute faith of the Truth.
Is not the Being, our deposit of Truth within us, now being expressed through our thoughts and feelings.

I think that @ScottA nailed it!
We human beings are comprised of the flesh, and of the spirit. As far as the flesh is concerned, we are no different than any other mammal on earth, except for a higher intelligence capacity. Which, simply makes our faculties greater in magnitude than the other creatures, but as far as purpose and survival is concerned, our constitution remains the same as theirs.
But, the difference is in the fact that only humans were endowed with the image of God, which gave us a spiritual dimension, that allowed us to fathom and comprehend moral concepts, and issues of the conscience.
Thus, seeing that the spirit is at enmity with the flesh, and that God is spirit and holy, the perfect human being as according to God's will and intent, would be to behave righteously and without sin, and to love God with all one's heart mind and soul. So as @ScottA said, being perfect and becoming one with God.
Which is exactly what Jesus did, ...the perfect and complete human being.

I don't know for sure if someone must know evil first before they know good but Adam and Eve didn't know they were naked until they disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL....so reason it our for yourself but in my reasoning they didn't have knowledge of good or evil until their eyes were opened to see.

What do we make of this?

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

The only difference between Adam and Eve prior to sin's entry and afterwards, was the loss of innocence, knowledge brings responsibility, accountability and a fearful expectation of judgement, therefore they hid from God. Adam said, 'I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, ... ' - Which brings to mind the words of John 3:19-21:-

'And this is the condemnation,
.. that light is come into the world,
.... and men loved darkness rather than light,
...... because their deeds were evil.
........ For every one that doeth evil hateth the light,
.......... neither cometh to the light,
............ lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light,
.. that his deeds may be made manifest,
.... that they are wrought in God.'
(John 3:19-21)

Jesus doesn't just call someone a child of the devil, he means he is the son of the devil.
Cain was the son of the devil:

Of the wicked one, means son of the wicked one.
Son of the devil, that doesen't mean he just acted like the devil, it means he was a child of the devil.

Both are metaphorical. Christ was not a child of Eve's and the wicked men who desired the crucifixion of Christ were not literally children of the devil. They had human fathers and mothers but their hearts were controlled by the devil. Same with Cain.
