In the verses you quoted, the "few" who Christ mentions are the Elect

And the false doctrine of the calvinists claim all others were appointed to spend eternity in hell which is a lie.

The Lord provided for all men to have salvation and it's men who decide to accept the Lord or deny Him, God is not the One deciding who goes to hell as it's people that decide their own fate.

The calvinists make God into a monster claiming it's His will for most people to go to hell in spite of the fact scripture clearly tells us it's God's will that all be saved and that all come to repentance.

Where is your faith to believe Christ? Your beliefs make Christ out to be a failure and a sinner.

More falsehoods and lies.

The Doctrine of Hell that is taught in the apostate churches of this world is one of the "perverse things" that Paul warned was coming into the church after his departing.

One must consider Jesus to be a liar if they claim there is no hell

The next time you pray, you should reflect on what I presented above and ask the Lord for understanding and for more faith to believe what Christ has proclaimed in scripture because there is MUCH YOU DO NOT KNOW.

I'll be thanking the Lord Jesus for protecting me from the false doctrine that you espouse and I'll ask the Lord to help you accept all that the Lord teaches in His Word and quit considering Jesus to be a liar as Jesus specifically taught that hell was real.

Sadly, I have also learned when you do look them up. They do not interpret as they are being used.

That's what the calvinists do

Christ did not tell you he is a universalist.

It was a demon telling him Jesus is a universalist which of course is a lie.

John 3: 10 - 18 would be the best most complete message from jesus himself how he saves his elect.
Dear Eternally Grateful,
There are many better passages than John 10-18 which teach how Christ saves the Elect. Paul's conversion "type", parable of the Ten Virgins, parable of the Wheat and Tares and Matthew chapter 24 are just a few of them.

What you do not understand is that mankind (who are all children of the Devil) is "condemned already". For this reason, Christ will give mankind a "new birth" as a child of God before anyone perishes. The spiritual process that Christ uses to make this change is called conversion.

The child of the Devil (who is void of God's Spirit) CANNOT and WILL NOT EVER understand or have faith in Christ. He is headed for destruction in the Lake of Fire - nothing can change that truth. But after Christ freely gives each child of the Devil the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit, they will be born again as a new child of God who is not condemned. It is ONLY AFTER this change of becoming a child of God that a person will understand and have faith in Christ. And because Christ has come to save all mankind, He will freely give all mankind the Spirit and make this change within everyone - but only at a time of His choosing. The Elect will be converted in this age and everyone else will be converted in the final age. In the end, mankind (children of the Devil) will cease to exist, but the Kingdom of Heaven will be that much fuller.

Universalism is false doctrine according to Jesus

Some people don't let what Jesus said get in the way of what they believe

You did know Jesus said the pathway the leads to life is found by few right?

Maybe you should look that up

Dear faith

I said John 3: 10 - 18

10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You want to be born agiam Do what the people of Israel did. They were as good as dead because they were bitten by serpents. God had a plan to save them. He had moses raise a serpent on a pole

He who believed (looked at the serpent) lived again, they were essentially born again, Those who continued in unbelief and did nto look died.

In the same manner, jesus was liften up

he who believes is born again, this new life called eternal life.

Dear Dash,
The "few" are the Elect and are the spiritual seed & heirs of Abraham. Their inheritance is an early salvation (First Fruits of the harvest) and the honor & glory of reigning with Christ upon the earth during the final age (the Lake of Fire age). And as I pointed earlier, during that age of judgment, Christ & His Elect (Bride/heirs) will show mercy to the "lost" before they perish and give them the faith they need to be saved. It is in this way that Christ and the heirs of Abraham will bless "all the nations of the earth":

Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Where is your faith to believe that Christ will fully accomplish all that His Father sent Him to accomplish?

1John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

And what do you believe is going to stop Christ from accomplishing this great goal of saving all mankind, especially considering the verse below?

Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of the heavens, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

The "another Jesus" that you are following is not the one I know and follow.

2Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Dear Eternally Grateful,
You are greatly misunderstanding the spiritual message of the serpent on the pole.

The serpent on the pole foreshadows the coming of the Old Covenant of Law which is based upon the works of man. This is the crooked way.

The reason that the serpent was used on the pole is because Satan is the crooked serpent who teaches the crooked way of man's works. When the Israelites looked upon the serpent, it could temporarily cover their sins. However, it could not save them.

Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

When Christ was lifted up the cross, His death was the perfect sacrifice that could permanently forgive sins through faith alone; the straight way.

Because the crooked way of the Old Covenant cannot save a person, Satan uses the crooked way to deceive the church. Satan deceives the church through his false gospel which mixes man's works with faith. When a believer (a babe) does this mixing, they have been bitten by Satan the crooked serpent and will fall from grace.

Prov 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. 27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit. 28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increases the transgressors among men. 29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? 30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. 31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red (Old Wine/Old Covenant), when it giveth his color in the cup, when it moves itself (man’s works) aright. 32 At the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like an adder.

The concept taught in the verse below applies to the serpent on the pole and Christ on the cross.

1Cor 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

Approaching salvation by the crooked way of man's works comes first and is the "natural". It is inherent in man's carnal nature.

Christ on the cross comes second and is the "spiritual". It is inherent in the child of God's divine nature.

To have God's divine nature, it requires a babe to be converted into a little child:

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

For that reason, when a person first comes to Christ, they will become a babe who still remain carnally minded, spiritually blind and unconverted. In this condition, they will for a short time approach Christ by faith, but that will quickly change because they will find that they prefer the Old Wine over the New Wine.

Luke 5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

When a babe consumes the Old Wine, it will bite them like a serpent. And since all new believers begin following Christ as a babe who still prefers the Old Wine over the New Wine, all babes will quickly fall away.

All the 2,000 different church denominations/sects/groups in the world are all apostate and are following Satan and his crooked way. This is the fulfillment of Paul's prophecy below:

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

The apostate churches of this world teach that Christ cannot save all mankind because they say that Christ does not have the ability to change the hearts and minds of all mankind. This belief is a lie from Satan. When Christ is ready to change the heart and mind of a person, He will give them the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit just like He did with Paul. Paul's conversion is a "type" for how Christ saves a person. Salvation happens solely by the works of Christ and not by the works of the person. The person does not have to "receive" anything because the Spirit is given to them.

After the Spirit is given to a person, they will then only call Jesus "Lord":

1Cor 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

It is in this way that Christ will eventually save all mankind. Nothing can stop Him.

No. It represents the animals that would be sacrificed according to the law. And as Jesus said, it represents him hanging on a cross
This is the crooked way.

Jesus was the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

And the day of atonement, He made atonement with his own blood..

The simplicity in christ. lets not make it more difficult

Dear Eternally Grateful,
You said:
No. It represents the animals that would be sacrificed according to the law. And as Jesus said, it represents him hanging on a cross.

You are right when you said that the serpent of the pole represents the Old Covenant which is based upon man's attempt to make themselves righteous before the Law. However, you are wrong when you claim that Christ said it represented Him on the cross. Christ never made that claim.

Here is what Christ said:

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Christ is NEVER represented by a serpent - only Satan is.

Moses is the Lawgiver who represents the Old Covenant of Law. He lifted up the serpent to represent the Old Covenant which is the crooked way. Because Satan teaches the crooked way, he is called the crooked serpent and that is why Satan was placed on the pole. The serpent on the pole in no way represents Christ.

The serpent on the pole represents Satan and the Old Covenant. Christ on the cross represents Christ and the New Covenant. You are not properly dividing the two covenants.

You need to understand the concept of first comes the natural (the Old Covenant/Satan) and then comes the spiritual (the New Covenant/Christ).

And yes, there is simplicity in Christ because a person has no works of their own to perform. Even the faith they need is given to them by Christ.

But understanding God's Word is NOT simple and it requires conversion & having one's spiritual blindness healed. Even then, it takes a great deal of effort and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to find the treasure of God:

Prov 2:1 My son (the converted Elect), if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, 2 making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; 3 yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, 4 if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

For babes who draw milk, they cannot understand the spiritual teachings of Christ. His truth remains veiled to them. For this reason, they will fall backward, be broken, snared and taken by Satan:

Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts (the converted Elect). 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another language (spiritual language) will he speak to this people. 12 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they (babes who draw milk) might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

The spiritual blindness of babes is what has allowed Satan to built his church in the world which masquerades as the true church of Christ.

Since there is simplicity in Christ, why are there approx. 2,000 different denominations/sects/groups of Christianity in the world? It because those churches are spiritually blind and have been deceived by Satan. In that condition, they have no ability to understand the simplicity that is in Christ and no unity of understanding.

Joe
